Broomfield has some great parks! Theyre very nicely furnished and will maintained. While not directly related to the open space specifically, my favorite thing is that there are trails connecting everything!

Ive lived across from the open space / park since 2007. Always a nice getaway for a short walk, a good run, or time with family or friends. Broomfield does a great job at improving it, while still keeping it untouched.

Every year for The Fourth of July, the City of Broomfield hosts a giant block party with live music, pony rides, bouncy castles, food trucks/stands, and, of course, fireworks! Lots of room out on the ball fields to set up games, picnics, canopies, chairs, etc. with your family and enjoy the flavor of a local band and then watch the show after dark fall. Always a good time!

Yup. It’s an open space with some walking trails. It was a nice walk and I quite enjoyed seeing and hearing all the adorable prairie dogs! My toddler loved walking by the pond. We had a nice visit.

Walk here three times a week while my son attends Bal Swan preschool, beautiful open space with many different paths to take and hundreds of prairie dogs to watch.

Great outdoor space to exercise!

Commons has a nice 5k trail that surrounds the soccer/football fields, natural and artificial turf. I like it because it is more like trail jogging and not going against hard concrete. Plenty of parking with amazing view of the Rockies on West side

Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the day. Busy on weekends but lots of room to walk.

If you play Pokemon Go, this is a great spot. Its also got a great playground

Nice place to ride your bike around with your kid or alone. The trails are wide enough to hitch a trailer to your bike. The soccer and football fields are in awesome shape. If you drive one block South from the Paul Derda Rec Center, you’ll be at the creeks for about 20 more miles of trails. Please keep it nice and clean!

Very beautiful and peaceful place. We went to watch the sunset and it was awesome. Very quiet and people were respectful.

Love this place! They keep it clean and people are friendly. Dogs are always on leash!

A great loop trail. Fairly flat and good for a quick in-town walk. I walk here with my puppy early in the mornings and we almost always have the place to ourselves. Be aware: we have seen a few coyotes out here though.

Nice open space. Good trails for walking and biking, all year round. A new parking lot was built recently near Lowell and Midway.

Beautiful natural space, nice trails. Great for walks and bike rides. Not a lot of shade on most of the trails, except for the part of one running next to the river.

Used to love walking here but now (2018) Im constantly looking at the ground to avoid stepping into dog poo. Very unpleasant.

This was a great place for a soccer tournament, but like all tournament locations the parking is at a premium, so arrive early, and be prepared for a possible long walk.

Great running trails mostly dirt and gravel with some gentle rolling hills.

This park is huge! Ive been here for the 4th of July fireworks for the past two years. Its a great family event with so much space to stretch out to play frisbee or corn hole or whatever you want. Great fireworks too!

My son and I fish this pond often. There are no good sized fish here but the little bass and crappie bite constantly in the evenings and mornings. We have a blast running flies with clear bobbers accross the top and watching the crappie chase it. They stock it from time to time but its heavily fished so any thing over a few inches ends up going home =( Either way its a fun spot just for the action.

Its a fun place to walk. Watch out for coyotes!
