Their make up policy is the worst ever. We had to miss classes because his teacher got Covid which I understand, but they don’t refund you for those classes . they gave you what they call make up tokens to use but you can’t ever get into a make up class so it’s pretty darn worthless. So we had to miss classes not even our issues yet I’m the one doing all the work trying to find classes scrambling all over the place which I can’t even get into one, how is this OK?????The only reason, and I mean the only reason I am even in the school is because I can’t get into any other program because of covid!

Coach Jackie did a amazing job teaching swimming lessons to my year old granddaughter.

Not super stoked on our experience here. I get that times are weird and certain precautions need to be taken, but I am just not happy with our time here. Most of the staff has been nice but I have met a few rude people. Seems as though you need to memorize their policies as well. I dont feel welcomed when we get there and our instructor just doesnt seem to be happy to be there or teach, to be honest. Its just been a weird experience and we wont be going back.

Great place. Really good with kids. It’s amazing to see the improvement from class to class.

EDIT- After receiving follow up really quickly from the owner we had a fantastic chat about the Babies class and her expectations going forward for the instructors. I expressed that I should have brought my concerns to her sooner. I’m happy to have met her and seen her passion for her swim school.We have had two classes since and things are going really well. My daughter is responding so much better to the class. Really excited for her to grow and learn much needed water safety with Colorado Swim School!We are moving onto our third instructor here. There is a big difference between instructors and that is bothersome to me. We have had four different instructors in the starfish class and they are all very different. Maria is amazing but only covers for people so we don’t get to see her often. Two others that have taught the starfish class lack the skills that Maria has and I feel like for the high price we pay they should concentrate on being more consistent with instructors. We are going to try another class at another time frame and see if it goes better with yet another instructor.

My 7 yr old special needs son has been going here since the summer so 2019. We have loved it! They have been able to meet my sons specific needs, and I appreciate their dedication to safety and health first

I do not have personal experience with every swim school in the Denver area, but in speaking with my friends who go to other schools/rec centers, I believe this is the very best one. They place a priority on water safety and understanding your childs skill level. Im so thankful for the friendliness of the staff and care they have taken in teaching my son. If money were an issue, Id get a second job before dropping his lessons.

We love this school! Our kids have progressed so much and so fast, especially compared to local rec centers. Our daughter has been taking lessons here her whole life (started with a “mommy and me” type class and now she’s a Marlin at 6 years old!). Our son started later but the attention and one-on-one teaching is amazing and has done wonders (he’s also a Marlin now thanks to their great teaching). I talk about you anytime swimming comes up. Highly recommended!

We have been going to Colorado swim school for about a year and half now and we love it!!! They are great with the kids and know how to make them comfortable. I highly recommend this place and the staff is amazing. This place makes you feel like Family and we have become great friends with a bunch of them.

An incredible place for children to first learn water safety, and then to take intermediate and advanced classes in proper stroke technique. Staff is friendly, helpful, and at the cutting edge of athletic development planning in youth sports. While the programs are not inexpensive, we felt the value of the programs far exceeded our expectations and costs.

Weve been coming once a week for almost two years now (taking a 3-month break in the summers). My oldest daughter (9yo) is a strong swimmer now and my youngest daughter (7yo) has overcome a strong fear of water. The youngest used to scream and claw at me at bath time. Now she happily gets in the water and is able to survive. Shes still not a strong swimmer, but she likes to get in pools, bath time is a joy, and I know that she wont drown immediately.

I have never left a review before and I felt it necessary to leave this. CSS is a great school for kids learning to swim, but the 2 stars are due to policy and money grabbing than the swimming. My daughter, first off isn’t a huge fan, but the skills are successful. It also took them way to long to advance her to the next level, until I demanded to know what she needed to work on, then she was advanced the next few weeks. Also don’t ever miss a class!! Their makeup policy is the worst ever. They only give you 3 days to schedule, which for working parents, is near impossible. Also if you don’t make up by a certain date, you lose the makeups. Sorry, but if I paid, I should get the lesson. I basically lost two months worth of classes and they could care less about the clients. All they want is money and I feel they don’t cater to their guests. Very disappointing company and policies.go somewhere more welcoming to families and kids.

We have always felt welcome, safe and encouraged. The teachers are GREAT asare those who support the kids (and parents) outside of the pool. Were so pleased and excited by how much our little one is learning!

I have always been impressed with CSS!! They took it up yet another notch today by helping a stressed mom sitting in traffic and battling a Monday by just offering another class option. It’s little things like this, that show you that their swimming staff flexibility and overall team is exceptional!!

We love Colorado Swim School! My son has been going there since before he could walk. The staff is great, the customer experience is well thought out and my son has thrived in their lessons.

Our daughter started attending shortly after she turned 1 and weve been attending for 2 years. CSS has given her the skills & confidence to let us have several fun vacations to the beach or water park.The warmer water temperature lets her focus on the lesson the whole time, she doesnt wind up cold and shivering like at the rec center. Small class sizes help keep her focused & learning.I would (and have) recommend CSS to other parents, regardless of the childs age.

Our daughter has been swimming with CSS since she was 6 months old. She is now 5 and can swim the length of the pool with side breathing. Their work is excellent - their instructors are kind, fun, and yet focused. Its worth the expense.

The teachers are very experienced and patient. My daughter is now a great swimmer. Totally worth the extra money over rec center lessons!!

I have had my now 2 year enrolled for almost a year at CSS and couldn’t be more pleased with her progression and the amazing staff and swim instructors! I recently was on vacation with a friend of mine who has a daughter the same age as mine who has not ever taken swim lessons and to see the difference in their comfortability in the swimming pool made it very clear to me that I’ve made an excellent investment in my daughter. My friend was blown away by the skills my daughter had in the pool. I would highly recommend CSS!

I wish we had spent our time and money here rather than those years of rec center swimming classes. My kids learned more in the first week than they did after years at the rec center. Highly recommend!!

CSS has been a great experience for our family. We started both of our kids right when they turned two and a half and have been weekly regulars for almost 3 years now. We love the small class sizes and the fact that the pool area and water are kept warm so our little ones are not sitting at the side of the pool shivering. All of the coaches are friendly and patient. I personally recommend CSS to any friend or acquaintance that is looking to start their kids in swim classes. Overall, we look forward to swim class each week and we could not be happier with the results our kids have seen. Thank you, CSS coaches and staff!!!

We’ve been coming here for just under two years now. The instructors have always been professional and great for teaching. The pool is always warm and clean. Strongly recommend for anyone that wants to teach their children to swim.

My experience with CO Swim School has been nothing short of exceptional. The setup ensures for optimal safety. My son loved his coach and is on his way to being less fearful of the water and becoming a great swimmer.

Parents beware this place is anything but nurturing to children. Ryan is horrible and still employed. On our first ever swim lesson he aggressively dunked my 4 year old child under water while she was screaming no and begging for help! Her sister was screaming at him to stop and he grabbed her leg and pulled her back under water when she tried to get away. He told her to stop screaming or he would dunk her more?!? I ran in and stopped the lesson immediately. We will never return. GET YOUR CHILDREN AWAY FROM RYAN AND CO SWIM SCHOOL.

The teachers and staff have always been very nice and helpful. There are lots of class days and times so scheduling has never been a problem, and the best part of all is how well my daughter is swimming! Not sure I would have stuck with swimming lessons so long if I would have had to re-enroll every 6 weeks like you do other places. We have been very pleased!

Staff was completely disrespectful to my kids when we walked in to try to sign up. They forcefully asked them to stop playing with the fish tank without saying please or thank you.They were also disrespectful to my wife when we tried to sign up over the phone.I was so upset I walked right out.Avoid this place and go to Broomfield community center! Never had problems there.

I taught swim lessons and swim team in CA for many years and struggled to find a good program for my children (age 3 and 5 now) to learn to swim here in CO. After trying programs through nearby rec centers and the Y I finally found Colorado Swim School. I am so happy we did and my kids have been going for over a year now. Both are now water safe. My 5 year old is swimming well and even my 3 year old can swim half the length [of a 25 yard] pool. I highly recommend their programs!

Weve been with the school for 3.5 years. We highly recommend CSS. The staff is very well trained, and class sizes are small.

We have had our daughter attend classes at some local rec centers. She hated the lessons and hated swimming. She was extremely nervous when starting out. After 1 lesson, she was excited. After 3 lessons - we were able to turn more lessons into an earned reward.Colorado Swim School has been a wonderful experience! Start out with their two week daily course and then figure out a plan from there.

Fantastic experience! Teaching is firm but friendly. My girls have been in lessons for over 2years and are swimming laps unassisted!

Taking our 3 y.o. there now for ~3 months. The swim instructors are great. Surprised at how much she has learned so quickly!

The instructors have been extremely patient and kind with my two boys. The focus on back floating has helped both my kids feels more comfortable in the water.

The teachers dont look like they enjoy their job and certainly dont know what they are doing. They tried to place our almost two year old, who is a very good swimmer, with 11 month olds in the most basic class because she wasnt entirely comfortable there on her first day in a brand new facility. It was clear that my daughter didnt belong there based on her skills. I would assume it would take some expertise to understand the difference between swim level and comfort, the latter of which simply takes time. The classes were rushed and seemed like the teacher was just going through the motions. Instead of having fewer activities and giving the children time, they packed more activities and jumped from one thing to the next. We will not put my child in this school, which we thought would be great because its closer to home. We will reenroll back in Ocean First, where my daughter is treated well (weve been there for over a year) and where she has a great time, is always given time to adjust, and where her skill level is always in mind.
