Great playground equipment. Almost no shade. Shelter with nice picnic tables. Public restrooms open in warm weather.
Moriarty Park is a beautiful open green space park that is usually 99% unused. I have never seen anyone use the volleyball net, rarely see the baseball diamond used, and even more rarely see anyone on the grass area that is huge. There is a big, well maintained play structure that has a sticker on it that says its for children 9-12 years of age. When was the last time you knew a 12 year old who wanted to go play at the park? A play structure for younger children with more age and size appropriate activities is needed. Theres plenty of room to add one.
We had a little picnic here. Its a little difficult to figure out where to park. Its open so baseball kiteflying baseball are all great options but I would not go here if it was windy.
My daughter had fun, but just wish there was more 2 do there.
Its a very nice potato and just a bike ride away.
Nice park for children however in the summer the mosquitos are quite bad
Nice park. The equipment is definitely for bigger kids though.
Great park with tons of open space. Basketball area, restroom building, etc. Nice to see in the community.
Most of the parks in Brookings are attached to schools, which makes it hard to find a park to play in during the day during the week. So this park is really nice to have. It has a good size playground, basketball court, sand volleyball area, and plenty of open grassy field.
Nice neighborhood. Cool playground set for any age. My 2 year old loves it. Huge open field for any purpose/activity.
Nice big playground here, good for a variety of ages. Theres also a bathroom and a covered picnic area, basketball and volleyball court, and a large grass area for whatever.
Great park for kids and family gatherings!
Really nice family friendly park. Good sidewalks.
Nice big open field
Basketball, volleyball, softball, picnic shelter, playground, restrooms, lots of green space!
Great space
