BEST HAUNTED HOUSE EVER!!!!!First time going and I will definitely be going back again this season!! The props outside were so fun to play with and the detail a d work put in to make it look so realistic and frightening. Major props to the creator of this amazing place! Ive never been this scared at ANY other haunted house.

Wonderful as always. Everyone is always super interactive and very creative. Also, a huge shout out to the management of the Fear Asylum for going above and beyond. Amazing customer service. Cant wait for next year.

My husband and I have gone to Fear Asylum for the past two years, and we were not allowed to go this year. We loved going to Fear Asylum, and it became one of our favorite haunted houses. Until this year, 2020. My husband, my brother, and I were all dressed up, and drove an hour from Sioux Falls to Brookings, just to go to Fear Asylum on Halloween night. When we tried to pay, no one was there, so we waited, and finally, someone came out, only to tell us that they were closed. They closed an hour early on Halloween night, and didn’t let us in. We have had this planned for months, planned our schedules around it, specifically planned on coming at this time on Halloween night, and they didn’t let us go through, because they decided to close early. Don’t close early on Halloween night, especially when you have a discount going for people in costumes. I can’t believe we wasted two hours (there and back) worth of gas. This WAS my favorite haunted house, and now I don’t know if I want to go again.

I love fear asylum but I hate that I drive an hour to go there with my wife and brother in law, just to have them say their closed when its only 11:15 and they closed at 12. We showed up to no closed sign, no sign at all, and wasted gas for nothing. Especially on Halloween night, close when you say your gonna close. PLEASE! Now we have to wait until next year because of it.

Fear Asylum is badass! One of the best haunts I’ve gone to. The costumes, set design and level of detail is phenomenal. I’d highly recommend!!

Every year I always find a new friend and have them tag along to this attraction!I dont go there for the scares. I go because the amount of work that goes into the set is incredible. My favorite is the underground tunnel area.

I love this place. Walking into it is like walking onto a movie set. Insane fx, costumes, and sets. If you like Halloween, haunted houses, or just something different, this is your place.

Home of the free-range children...you cant fake that kind of crazy! Authentic and great attention to detail. Variety in ages of the actors and characters that brings it to life.

Fear Asylum this year is AMAZING as always!! The attention to detail is what sells the whole experience. The sets are meticulously built and the animatronics everywhere work so well to make it even more intense. Most importantly, the characters are the absolute best! The outfits & makeup are on point, and they perform so well it makes the whole thing worth coming to see! They never break character, and when they arent in the Asylum, they are wandering the grounds, interacting with the people waiting to get inside! It helps make even waiting in line more enjoyable! My wife and I always go through at least twice so we can see everything & appreciate all the hard work that goes into Fear Asylum! There is also a concession stand to get hot cocoa, hot apple cider & etc to keep you warm while you wait! The whole crew are so great & so friendly! Every year its a different experience & it has been great watching it evolve! I tell everyone, if you are going to go to a haunted attraction, it has to be Fear Asylum!
