Great experience! Took all the kids out on a Sunday. The manager suggested a passport purchase and it gave us 4 tickets for 20 bucks which saved me $20.00 and 20% off food and beverages! The wings and fries were delicious! I was pleased with the customer service overall!

Nice to be able to go back to the movies Im tired of this house

COVID has not been kind to the Movie Tavern, they are clearly short-staffed. Popcorn was cold and service slow. Being only open Tuesday during the week they are not heating the theater its very chilly at 64 degrees. No one is around anywhere after the show at all for employees or security, not comfortable at all in the times we live in.

Loved this updated look to to a movie going experience. This place thinks 100% of the consumer experience. Loved it!

The movie theater was super clean and sanitized. Employees were friendly and using safety precautions. It was a great night out back at the theater!

Great place.... finally Brookfield has something really good, theaters are really the best when compared..plus it connects to restaurants and gaming alll at one place....

They are open and are offering almost all the food on their menu and delivering it to your seat.

I was a little hesitant to go due to COVID... but holy smokes I cant think of a place Ive gone that made me feel safer. If the seats werent spaced out enough they they tripled that space and only sell like 30% of the seats. The place was SPOTLESS and I saw at least 4 employees cleaning while I was there. They have tags that even state what bathrooms have been sanitized since the last use. The food was also delicious and had contactless pickup. They clearly put a lot of thought into the safety of their guests. Tickets were only 5 dollars with our movie rewards card. I will be back!

Phenomenal place and wonderful atmosphere and they have the best theaters and sound.

This movie theater is different than the others and its a good different. I love the fact that there is a kitchen which you can order amazing food and they bring it to your seats! I love Marcus theaters. They always surprise me and I will always try to go to one when they are available to me. I prefer going farther for a good theater like Marcus than go to any other one. Thank you Greg Marcus and the employees who make these theaters the best!

They make you feel very welcome.

Great place to go see a movie. Even though the building is new, its very clean and well kept up. All employees were nice and helpful. Another thing I enjoyed was not having to print tickets, rather a team member scans or looks up the confirmation number with a hand held scanner, if you pre-ordered tickets. Ordering food at the kiosk before you even scan your tickets is so convenient, and is something all Marcus Theaters should think about doing.

We really enjoyed our evening at Movie Tavern. The food was really good and it worked well with it being brought to our seat. The hallways and bathroom are pretty, spacious and bright. We didn’t have a drink but the bar area looks like a great place to meet before or stay after a movie. We were impressed and will return soon.

This is one of the best theaters to go to in Wisconsin! They have a great selection of food items if you decide to dine there and the staff is amazing! Only downside is it takes them quite a while to clean their auditoriums after a show and before the next show

We love this theater! They have great deals ($5 Monday’s and $6 student Thursday’s), and if you join the rewards program you can get free popcorn some days of the week. They also have a great deal with getting liter beers. Staff is incredibly friendly and the theaters have the reclining lounge chairs. All in all a great theater!

It seems like mostly older people go to movies. While younger people live with their cell phones, you better live on your cell to attend the Movie Tavern in Brookfield, no matter your age. Like other movie places now, you will use their app if you want tickets and dont want the worst seats. But here, they dont use paper tickets anymore. You must have your phone as your proof of purchase/ticket. Enjoy the movie!

My Family and I went to see Dr Dolittle at the beautiful new Marcus Movie Tavern!So easy to check in!Very friendly staff. Super roomy comfortable seats!We will be back for sure to dine as well!Really like the tables at each seat! Perfect for our popcorn!

I really enjoy watching movies here and this is now my go-to theater (i.e. my first choice). I really like the tankard for beer/cider and being able to take that into the movie with me as well as the food choices and quality. Several times my wife and I have come to watch sporting events on the big screen at the bar without even seeing a movie as it is a nice atmosphere. Keep up the good work!P.S. They have the same $5 movie Tuesdays with free popcorn for members and have been quick to respond to any minor issues we have run into.

I love movies that’s why I have my own theater in my basement so I’m very picky where I watch my movie. This is my 2nd time here and I love it . First the very comfortable recliner , sounds and vision perfect , cleanliness especially the bathroom and my wife love the fried pickle. Highly recommended.. My new favorite.

I ordered off the menu to see if the kitchen was up to the task of handling food orders on opening weekend. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal. It was perfect. Staff went above and beyond to take care of every customer. Will definitely be back. Such a wonderful experience.

It was pretty sweet! Kind of like the Bistro but you order your food beforehand and they deliver it to your seat. It is very nice to lay in the dream loungers and eat! Only difference really is the servers only deliver food youve bought at the kiosk or counter (I think!). Which is pretty nice when you dont want disturbances during the movie.

We enjoyed our first visit to the Movie Tavern. While they are working out a few kinks with the registers, we had good service. The food came really fast and was delicious. The seating was nice, although we like the loungers at the regular theater a little better. It was nice having the table in front of the seats for food and drinks.

The theater staff were extremely friendly. The food was really delicious, and the seats extremely comfortable. To top all of this off the theater was very clean and the temperature inside was nice as well. I definitely recommend going here for a great movie experience.

Only lost a star because I wish they had better soda machines that offer fruit flavor. Was pleasantly surprised to see whole theater has leather recliners with table. Staff kept everything clean, even the bathrooms. I saw a late movie and even at 10pm, the theater floors were clean and not sticky. Ill definitely be back.

I’m really impressed with the food they have here. I consider myself a pretty good judge of burgers and let me tell you, the Movie Tavern knocks the burgers out of the park!Couple these burgers with a side of perfectly seasoned fries and you have an Oscar worthy combination. They were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of crisp on the outside and tenderness on the inside.So far I’ve tried the Hollywood Heat and Tavern Burger and can not wait to try the others. Fantastic job!

They finally got the reclining chairs right!!! These chairs have the buttons close to the front near the cup holder so that when you shift in your chair it doesnt move!! People who are a little bit heavier in the other Marcus chairs which are red and have the remote button to move the chair frontwards and back is way in the back and if you shift in your hip touches that button youre on on a ride. But these chairs are black they seem wider. The staff is so kind. The food is well worth the price. You order at the food bar and then they bring it to your seat. They also have in the corner when you enter the theater little boxes that you can put your leftovers in because you will have leftovers unless you ran a marathon or hadnt eaten for 12 hours. They offer the typical Marcus movie discounts and thats nice to. This visit took place between noon and 3pm.

This place is huge! The theater was clean, the food options were great and it was tasty. The seats were comfortable - this theater has ones that heat up if your cold. Overall great experience.

We visited the Movie Tavern this past weekend and we’re pleasantly surprised at the size and cleanliness of the entire space. They provide many seating areas to wait comfortably while the theater is being prepared and the staff was courteous and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Overall had a great experience. The kids enjoyed the chicken tender meal. We order some appetizers which we found out later are not for delivery. I had to go grab them after noticing they were not coming with the rest of our meal. The seats are comfortable and the staff was friendly. Glad to have another theater close to home. Would be nice if everything you ordered was delivered to your seats. Definitely will be coming back.

Its nice to see a movie theater at Brookfield Square. I like the idea of a movie theater with meals and table service. But, I believe were better served with Silver Spot just up the road. Why? Because Movie Tavern isnt remarkable.Quality of Food: yes, better than your Marcus cinema concession stand. But remarkably better? No. I dont think the increased price is warranted by food quality.Service: friendly atmosphere to be sure. Its nice they bring the food to your seat. The nearest competitor waits on you in the theater with fast delivery time.Quality of Seats: nice seats. The trays feel plastic and cheap.I like the Marcus product. Im making an assumption, but it looks like they built this theater in a rush to compete with Silver Spot. The problem is, theyre not doing it any better, in some areas less, and the price doesnt justify the differentiation.

Extra convenient, great service, very clean

I enjoyed the movie and the entire experience. I went opening weekend to check out the new Movie Tavern experience. The heated seats were great (more for my wife, than myself). Additionally, having the ability to order food to the seat was also very convenient. I do enjoy the layout (having the bar/concessions before the ticket taker), so that one can come early and have some food/drinks before the movie starts and then can stroll in to the theater once ready. I will definitely be back again!

Our first time there. We ordered the $7 burger and fries. It was very good. Of course we had to have popcorn and soda. Enjoyed the seating and delivery service.

Staff was great, and movie experience was great! The technology side of ordering left something to be desired, but the staff was great is remedying any issue we had! Would definitely go back and take some friends!

We visited the Movie Tavern on a Monday night. February 24th.This was our first visit to this theater. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had an issue with my rewards card and they were able to fix the problem and without becoming impatient. Theater and restroom were clean.Snack bar attendant was smiling and quick to get our order. Good experience.

Overall the experience here was good. Arrive early, Id suggest at least 45 minutes early so you can order food without feeling rushed, or download the app and order it before you go. Also adult beverages took a long time to order here. It was opening weekend so hopefully they figure out a better method for drink order completion. My husband ordered a burger which was very good. I ordered a steak rice stir fry, which ultimately came with chicken, it was mediocre, not bad, I just wouldnt order that again. Staff was helpful and nice, facility was clean, movie theater itself was great. We liked the little trays in front of each chair. Well go back again!

My boyfriend and I recently visited here to see the new Star Wars and we were so impressed! The seats were extremely comfortable and the food was delicious! I would also like to give a special shoutout to Wendy who works over in the tavern portion of the cinema - she made outstanding drinks and was very attentive to all of our needs! My boyfriend and I will definitely be visiting this location again very soon!

We went this past Tuesday and just loved the new location. I especially loved the Tuesday deals and the heated seats. We did order food at the concession and our food was delivered right to our seats so have your tickets in hand to show where to deliver your food. I had the breakfast egg sandwich and it was yummy. Next time I am going to try and order my food on the mobile app.

A few weeks past opening and most of the staff have little idea what theyre doing. The chairs are really nice and the table is great, but for a Marcus theater it is a poor experience for the price point compared to the majestic. They do not have a Pepsi freestyle type machine and the waitress couldnt tell the difference between our food. We had to skip the bar because there was only one overworked bartender on a Friday night. Honestly this is a budget experience at a premium price point. Just go to the majestic.

Me and my boyfriend came to the Tavern movie Theater to see Fantasy Island. The show was great unfortunately the staff were not because they are prejudice. I didnt like the fact that one young red headed white girl barely wanted to touch me to give me my ticket and another girl host gave us a dirty look as she rolled her eyes. But overall clean environment but everything is just for show.

This place is very classy. It has a great modern feel and atmosphere. The theaters are very clean and sooo roomy. The food is great too! Love the location of the bar. You can have dinner and a movie with a night cap all in one place!

I visited for the first time a few weeks back and I have to say all the staff I encountered were nice, friendly and helpful. The location is nice and I liked the setup of the theaters. Made use of the bar area as we were leaving; glad they had a big screen to watch the Bucks game on. Will be going back.

My family and I are huge movie goers! This theater was incredibly clean and the staff was professional and courteous. The food was great. The seating and the movie screens are amazing! This will be our new spot to watch movies!

From the friendly staff and greeted us as we walked in to the cashier that was absolutely wonderful while buying popcorn. Everything was wonderful , the theater was clean and comfortable. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy some A1 service!!!

Marcus will always be my go to theater because they are simply the best around and I definitely recommend anyone to try them out. They are life changing and give you a way better movie going experience!

Ive been 2 times now. Once back in October and again last weekend. I was impressed with how clean and organized everything was during my first visit including the bathrooms. I was worried that in a few months things would change when more people got word of their opening. I can honestly say they have not and Im still impressed. Cant wait to go again.

Lean back in a comfy electric recliner, and enjoy a beer and some popcorn while you take in a movie. Beer selection is really good for a movie theatre, but the prices make it abundantly clear that they know you are a captive audience. If you spring for the cheaper Tuesday tickets, it all evens out.

Great experience for a new location. Some of the minor register delays will work themselves out with more experience. Theater is very nice and the food was good. New favorite theater to frequent. Already planning a trip back next week.

Enjoyed the new theater and staff. The tavern burger was delicious. Wish people would clean up after themselves though because the food is brought to you in the theater everyone just leaves their garbage behind for the staff to clean up. The staff do a great job of keeping it clean.

Went there opening day. Appreciated the free perks of a t-shirt and bucket of popcorn. Enjoyed the food. I got a burger meal and my partner got a chicken sandwich meal. Servings were big! Spacious theatre rooms and comfortable seating.

Theater was very nice. Employees were welcoming and explaining how everything worked. It did take a while to put our food order even though there wasn’t a line and I found the seats a bit more narrow than the usual Marcus Theaters but still comfy

Great theater, great service. Love the sliding dinner table and its placement is perfect. Slides away when you dont need it and is not in the way when you use it. Prices of wings could come down a bit but then again it could just be mall prices.

The theater is like all the Marcus theaters; theres Dreamloungers, good screens and audio. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked, though Im not crazy about the lack of paper towels.Ordering food through the app is easy and you can do it before you arrive so the food is ready shortly after sitting down. Decent burgers and sides.

The Movie Tavern was great simply because it is a newer theater. I frequent nearly all of the Marcus Theatres within 30 minutes of the Milwaukee area, and it was nice to visit a new one. My only complaint is that I wish the soda dispensers were the machines with options to choose from a variety of different sodas and flavors, as they have at the Majestic. It would make sense given the fact that the theater is new. My favorite drink choice came out as only seltzer and there were some other drinks that were out of order. Didn’t give me that new theater feel in that aspect. Everything else was absolutely amazing though. The popcorn was DELICIOUS and the atmosphere inside the Super DLX theater was great, looked very aesthetically pleasing with the blue and black color scheme. Would definitely return!

I was expecting a similar experience as the bistro at Southridge but the concepts are different. At Movie Tavern you order your food at the concession stand. That means you have to wait in line, and in our case, there were only 4 registers open. Then you get to your seat and the staff delivers your food. And for my surprise my seat was missing the tray.In my opinion Southridge Bistro offers a better experience

The service is not as good as a Bistro theatre, like the Majestic. You order your food in the lobby and it is brought to you. But if you want something during the movie, you have to go out to the lobby and get it yourself, missing some of the movie. The pizza prices are more expensive at the Movie Tavern. the person bringing my pizza did not bring plates or forks. Had to ask for them and he had to go back to get them. Granted, the theatre has only been open a week, but most of the employees were not up to speed on their jobs. The seats are comfortable. I will probably not see a movie there again. Ill stick with the Bistro theatres unless Im not eating a meal.

My fiance and I recently saw a movie here. It was all the benefits of going to a Bistro theater without the uncomfortable chairs, because thats honestly the main reason we dont go to the Bistro more often. Will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere! Amazing bathrooms with hand dryers at every faucet! Cozy recliners with USB chargers built in as well as a movable tabletop. This was a well designed and thought out movie theater. The patio courtyard entrance just makes it even cooler. Bravo!

I love this new movie theater! The clarity of the picture seems better here and the screens are updated as well. The seating is very comfortable. The room temperature was comfortable and appropriate. The burger and fries were amazing.

Saw a movie there about a week after it had opened, and was expecting them to still be working out some kinks. To my surprise, everything was great! The staff was friendly and quick, the food was very good, and the movie-watching experience itself (including the REALLY comfortable seats) was fantastic. Will definitely be checking out more movies here in the future!

We went to see a show on opening day. What a lovely venue! Located on the south side of Brookfield Square, parking is convenient and close. Staff was friendly. There is a bar that was crowded with a happy group. The movie menu is awesome and delicious. We were in theater #1 . Great picture and sound quality. Chairs comfy and heated.

If dinner and a show at the same time is your thing, you cant go wrong with Movie Tavern. Throw in a fairly decent selection of alcohol, and a menu with surprising gourmet selections, and the experience is pretty impressive overall. This location also has a generously sized bar area with lots of TVs before the box office as well as outdoor seating if you wanted to go to have drinks and/or a meal without taking in a movie. Its not as frilly as some of the other Marcus locations, but the menu options are superior to other locations.

My wife and I went to Brookfield Movie Tavern. This our new destination for date night. The staff at the bar are friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered our food at the counter and delivered to our seats.The surprise was the trays attached to seats for food and drinks. Very nice and easy use, unlike the trays at other theaters.Hopefully we can go back this weekend.

Went to the new Marcus Movie Tavern at Brookfield Square for the opening weekend, and had a wonderful time! The team was clearly striving to make it a fun, festive environment for all of the customers. The food was prepared perfectly for us. We also like the method of ordering our full meal at the concession counter, and then having it delivered to our Dreamlounger seats. Cant wait to go back!

Me and my son went opening weekend and the atmosphere and vibe of this theater, within the footprint of Brookfield Square is outstanding. Fantastic lounge seats! Sure, they have some kinks to work out (what business doesnt on opening weekend?), but I think this theater will be a fine addition to the area!

Beautiful new venue with stylish contemporary décor, attractive bar area and outdoor seating. Really liked ordering & paying for food (at counter or by app) before the movie to avoid interruptions during the show. Food was quickly delivered to our seats and our three meals were delicious! Loved the seating – recliners with attached tray table were perfect for dining upright and then kicking back in comfort!

Place is nice, seats are comfy and recline, along with heated seats! But I went there for the first time yesterday and the screens were not working for ordering food. Twice I went through the whole thing and got an error when checking out. So we were told to order at the bar but taking a hour and a half to get my food was ridiculous, to make it worse it was cold....No ordering inside the theaters, there is an app but our friends used it and theirs still took a hour when it said it would take 15 mins. Might be the first and last time here since in my opinion there’s better places to go.

Id say this is the best Movie experience in Milwaukee! From the vibe walking up and into the theater, to the newness (everything is so fresh and clean!), to the size of the screen, brightness of the projector, and clarity of sound, this was a great experience. The workers were kind but a little distracted by each other...otherwise A+!

Loved this new theater. It was nice to order food and have it delivered to our seats so we didn’t have to leave a tip. Also, my grilled cheese was delicious!

What to say... this experience left me speechless the food was amazing and Movie was great! I didnt know what to expect going into this movie theater but I must say it is nothing you have ever experienced before. Took my parents with me and my father kept saying I love this theater. We will definitely return since the trip alone was worth it by entering the doors.

The chairs were so comfy I dozed off during the movie. Only woke up cause I was getting really warm. I must have accidentally touched the heated seat button! Sound quality was great. Good food choices.

Went there for Valentine’s Day and we were better off going to Waukesha. We ordered $40 worth of food that was suppose to arrive before the movie at 10:00pm . We never got the food all throughout the movie. Nobody noticed so I spoke up when the movie ended. Nice people who gave us a refund because I asked but when there’s bad service like that, I was hoping they would give us a free service or discount for the inconvenience .we had to go to a different bar at 12:30 am after to get food. Also, the hand soap in the bathroom is watered down. Sorry can’t recommend this place to my friends and family.

The food is amazing. However, it was a major hassle to get it. The lines were long and moved slowly, and upon delivery, my order was incorrect twice. I prefer having a waiter that takes my order and ensures that my order is delivered correctly. The leg rests of the seats also seem short.

We took in a movie and a meal at this new theater and really enjoyed it. Very un-crowded, as it is new, but I expect it will become more popular quickly. Food service was fast and pretty tasty. We will definitely be adding this theater as a go-to along with the Marcus Majestic and Ridge theaters.

I have reviewed the Movie Tavern before with high marks. I am honesty amazed that three months into the grand opening the issues with the app and food ordering system inside the theatre have not been fixed. I tried ordering food four times between the app and the computer in the lobby yielding a item failure message at the very end. No confirmation that the order went through. My bank does not reflect that my order went through. As it turned out in a previous occasion we got food twice. That day things were rectified. It is amazing that coming to watch a movie and catch dinner causes more stress than the one we seek to avoid for the couple of hours we are here. Today I could go without watching Mr Marcuses customary personal trailer before the movie begins.

We loved the seats and the service. It was nice to be able to have dinner & a movie without having to resort to the usual movie theater meal options. We love the fact that there are healthy options.

My husband and I went to Movie Tavern over opening weekend. The facilities were superb, the food delicious and the staff warm and welcoming. A great addition to the area and definitely a place we will be going back to!

I appreciate all you put into making this the best theater I attend every week. Great deal on the Sunday funday passes. I purchased 2 sets. So 8 movies here I come!

Very disappointing. While the seats were great the total experience left a lot to be desired. Food and beverage are ordered and paid for at different stations unless you just want water or soda. You must leave the theater to order more of anything. Not much different from a standard theater. Not going back.
