Wonderful aquarium with lots to see! We went about two weeks ago and it was lovely and quiet. Even with the one way system, we didnt feel rushed or like we needed to hurry. There are plenty of hand sanitiser stations to help you keep safe too. They have some very pretty tanks here too and theres so much to see. All in all, a great few hours.

Good choice of souvenirs in the gift shops with some high quality plush toys.Staff are friendly. Its useful because once you buy a ticket you can come in and out all day with it.

Great place for a short visit maybe a few hours tops but certainly couldnt spend a whole day in there, plus side was upon entry you recieved a hand stamp to allow you back in all day. We went because we had free entry but looking at the prices I probably wouldnt pay to get in. Clean and tidy with friendly and informative staff. Toilets needed attention but it was extremely busy as it was half term.

Very disappointing for the cost of a ticket. Nice hour but not at the price of a ticket for a full day at a theme park.Walk through tunnel was nothing like the images they show on brochures etc.. No large sharks swimming overhead for sure.Overall a nice experience but at a third of the price.

Don’t mean 3 stars as a slight. Basically, it was quite expensive considering the size. Our son was maybe too young (3yr) but we were done in less than an hour and we went around twice! Still, what was there was really great and the staff were excellent.

Nicely structured aquarium with lots of species for fish lovers. It looks like a small one from outside, but actually its big. There is no car parking for aquarium, but you can find many private car parks nearby. The closing time is 4pm on weekdays which could have been extended till 6pm.

Amazing smaller Aquarium the kids can handle with just the right amount of fun and fantastic facts. Dont forget to wear NEON and WHITE for the black lit rooms, the kids will love it! A whispering secret... We didnt even bring the kids and went as Kids at Heart, making it an amazing walk through and time to really explore. Fair pricing as well.

I was really impressed with how covid safe the Aquarium was. Very well designed for a one way system, it wasnt overcrowded, and we didnt have to touch anything on our way round. Doors all open, ticket scanning done through a screen, it made me feel very comfortable and the kids loved it - well be back!

Ok so let me start by saying that I HATE being negative and have never given a bad review in my life... but I feel have like I have to, for the sake of the poor Octopus at this aquarium. Octopuses are extremely intelligent and need a lot of space stimulation, but this poor thing had the tiniest tank with barely anything in it... to see the way he was curled up in the corner all on his own was heartbreaking! It seems so cruel and unnecessary to keep him in that tiny tank, it islike a prison for him. Other than that, the aquarium was great, but something needs to be done for this poor animal

If the tickets were £5 then this aquarium would be fairly priced. However I paid over £15 each for tickets and unfortunately this aquarium was drastically overpriced. Might be better if you have very young children? But we were in and out within 45 minutes and very disappointed. If you have the option, Plymouth aquarium is much better.

I was a bit concerned about going here as I was not sure how much that would be on offer for the price but I was pleasantly surprised by the bang for your buck.I have given some examples in my review in the form of pictures and videos but there is a lot more on offer. There is plenty to see and all of it very beautiful. There is much to learn here if that is your thing with information placards by all species and tanks. I however was there for the sights. There is plenty to see and with all the colours it is very peaceful and therapeutic. We spent a couple of hours here so it is worth it and if you have children then you would probably get more out of it as they have things to do for children also.I think I could say that I would go back.

Really interesting place with some large tanks and lovely creatures to watch.Seeing the different types of ray, big piranhas, turtles, sharks and an array of other cool fish and sea creatures was fascinating. We had an enjoyable day wandering around plus a lovely lunch in their cafe (which was a reasonable price thanks to the governments half price scheme, but would have been a rip off otherwise, although thats usually expected in places like this).I was unable to give 5 stars due to the octopus. They had a video playing describing how intelligent these amazing animals are, then they had a large octopus in a tank that was far too small for it and offered it little room to move. Most of the place seemed really good but this one animal stood out for me as wrong and spoiled the day somewhat.

Sad to say that this place is a waste of time. The pictures look great online but inside is a major disappointment.Charged £16.50 each for an adult and it took us 30 minutes to walk around. When you compare to Plymouth Aquarium and other places, this really is a poor show. Save yourself the money! Also the giant octopus looks so unhappy and the tank is tiny and there is nothing in there he can use to build anything and has to sleep exposed, which they don’t do in their natural habitat. Tragic.

Quite a small aquarium for the price however the outside parts were a nice change to the aquariums weve been to in the past and the water of the tanks were amazingly clean and brighton enough to see the fish inside (other aquariums weve been to have been quite dark and made vision tricky with reflecting tank glass!) didnt take us long to get around unfortunately and it was quite busy in there with many people not distancing themselves making it awkward for others but, our toddler enjoyed himself and at the end of the day thats all what matters!

It is expensive and small. The whole experience revolves around one large tank really..there are lots of other smaller tanks but we found it rather underwhelming Im afaid. We had just as much fun with our granddaughter at the place that sells fish on the way to Bath( sorry dont know the name) and that was free. So £30.00 is a lot of money . If you had lots of children omg it would be so expensive and really not worth it you can walk around it ..even slowly in under 1 hour.

The best part for me and the wife were the plants. The kids enjoyed climbing and going around in general. We have been meaning to tick this place off our list of places to visit with the kids. We were well excited and paid over £60. Frankly speaking, any of the Maindenhead aquariums will provide a better selection of fishes and viewing. Our experience was indeed epitome of underwhelming! Gutted! Annoyed with the pricing the most! Does not reflect on the value nor experience. Again, I would go as far as saying epitome of rip-off! Its true value is no more than £15 for a family, few pounds per person at the very best. Wouldnt recommend it at all. My in-house natural aquarium aquaescape is far more interesting, and I probably have as many fishes as they do per fresh water fish collection.

Reasonably priced and plenty to do. We spent about 2 hours looking around and the kids were entertained the entire time. Grown ups had plenty to read up on too. Several times throughout the day the centre held feeding sessions and interaction sessions for guests to watch. The animals are plentiful however the aquarium isnt very large at all. We walked (slowly, I might add) around in 30 minute. We ended up going round again just to try and get some kind of value for our money. There is a reason why your ticket allows you to visit the whole day and thats why. There are ramps throughout the aquarium so those in wheelchairs or families with pushchairs have easy access to the whole aquarium.Unfortunately I dont feel the ticket price reflects the time you can actually spend there however its understandable its needed for upkeep etc

Pretty small aquarium, not much going on here. I wouldnt say it was worth the entrance as an adult. Its definitely geared more towards children under 10.What sets them apart from other aquariums are the talks and shows they host throughout the day. Its a bit of a tight space too, if you end up during peak times, youll have a hard time getting through and really enjoying yourself.Theres a gift shop and cafe outside. You can also leave and come back whenever within opening hours. You can buy a ticket online, supposedly advertised as being 10% off but then you end up paying the same because of their booking fee and still have to stand in line to get registered. So getting your tickets in advance doesnt bring any added benefit.

Not really the aquariums fault but there was a school trip while we was there and the children were so loud and crazy we had to walk off and skip a few tanks to get away from the noise. A aquarium that would be perfect for small children and parents but as my experience having kept marine fish , these where very basic , small and easy to maintain / look after but having said that each aquarium was kept extremely clean and had brilliant viewing angles and has a tone of fun but cool information for kids to learn about our ocean , having been to loads of aquarium this was on a small scale taking out not around 40 minutes to look round , and that being every single tank there !
