Great stay...kitchen, micro wave, in house washer and dryer...air condition worked great except rather loud when it turned on and off thru the night...the fan especially loud in the bed room and the washer extremely loud. Had to use it during the day in respect to the neighbors. But overall the hotel ammenities are great, 3 pools, great service for extra towels and other items...the ocean edge mansion terrace fantastic for drinks and dinner..will stay again...

Great resort. Would highly recommend to families with young kids. They catered to our needs and had everything we wanted.

Ocean edge is a fabulous resort especially for golfers. It expansive and well maintained. However, I would like to point out 2 issues during my stay:1. The Britteriege rooms with lake view are not what they are sold as. There is no view of the lake- little patches through the woods. The patio they show on the picture is not a view from the room- it’s a common area about 5 mins walk from the room. So save your money and avoid the lake view rooms.2. Cleanliness- the rooms weren’t cleaned when we stayed. Seems like cleaning happens only when you check in and after you check out. So please ensure that you tell the front desk when you check in3. The phone lines don’t work- you cannot reach anyone as the phone keeps ringing and noone picks up. You have to drive to the registration office everytime you have an issue.

Overall, great place. We stayed in Britterige village, very clean, spacious rooms and the staff was awesome. The only remark I have is that the wi fi service was terrible, almost nonexistent. Also couldnt connect to our mobile network. Very hard to communicate with friends in other rooms.

What an absolute gem of an wonderful old historic mansion resort. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay within the luxurious accommodations and many thanks to the service we received from a most courteous and attentive staff.

I really enjoyed the experience. The beach was spectacular. The restaurants were great though you should make a reservation when you book unless you like eating dinner at 8:30 or 9:00. The service was excellent. Loved it and will go back.

Just got here an want to leave. Place is huge and they give you no information. Have to ask for map etc. Say we can order lunch until 3 at Terrace. We sit down at 2:45 and are told we can order snacks. No one checks on us. Wondered if I had a server. Get to place in the Villages. No information about anything. Call front desk and woman was stern and condescending when I asked about wi if. Then told we can’t use private beach. Feel like second class citizens. Feel like I am in an apartment . Not close to anything. Didn’t get into room until 5. Never coming back. Waste of a lot of money.

Dont waste your money. My fiance and I have stayed at much better locations than this and for a lot less. This place was underwhelming to say the least. They dont tell you this over the phone but, due to Covid-19 it seems their check-in policy is whenever they feel like it, and the private beach is not included unless you upgrade for another $230, meanwhile, youve paid for a room that costs almost $400 per night after taxes and fees are included, you dont get the private beach and youll be lucky to check in a few hours after 4pm. Per their own website, their check-in time is 4pm and I understand that Gov. Baker would like there to be a 24 hour time period between guests but, they need to communicate and plan ahead for this, not force their paying guests to wait around aimlessly without any word. Very greedy and unprofessional on their part, and I could certainly do without the pompous attitude at the front desk. Id rather be serviced by someone in a polo shirt and khakis who has a pleasant attitude rather than someone dressed in a suit and tie who is pompous. The room itself was dated, the tile floor in the bathroom was cracked in many places near the toilet and no toilet paper holder to be found. The best part of this place was the pool which unfortunately was packed and had minimum lounge chairs to offer and it also closed at 6pm. Waste of money in my opinion.

I had a HORRIBLE stay. First off the customer service is horrible! We stayed in the villages but we were treated like we paid nothing to go here. We were not allowed to go to the private beach and were sent to the public even though we paid money to go here, (THIS ALSO WAS NOT STATED ON THE WEBSITE WHEN BOOKING).Then when my family were waiting AT THE SHUTTLE STOP, then the shuttle came and picked up another NOT AT THE SHUTTLE STOP and were stranded in the HOT sun!!! If you are looking for a nice place to stay in the cape I recommend the Sea Crest in Falmouth.

Terrible check -in. Couldnt get into room before 6:15 p.m., and had been told at 12:30 that the clean-up of our room would be expedited. consequently, we wasted half a day waiting to get our room.

My family of 5 enjoyed our stay at The Villages at Ocean Edge. The villages are nice, the mansion side where you check in is beautiful. Not very impressed by the private beach at the mansion. Crosby Landing beach is actually much nicer. The pool staff was very accommodating and did a great job of setting up the pool chairs for social distancing. Overall a nice vacation and we would go back.

I have been couple times and stayed in great village but not always the same condition in the apt for the same price it’s a lottery to get a nice one. Not all the village are the same, some are in great conditions others are bad.

We found an earplug in our bed. Staff gave us a free meal but I was never contacted like discussed to go over our disappointment. Never refunded the hotel fee as promised. Utterly disgusted. During a national pandemic, to have the beds clearly not stripped from previous guessed is intolerable.

They are offering a discounted stay for healthcare workers which is wonderful. We need the break. However, I would expect them to appropriately clean the rooms, particularly given covid. I am so disappointed. There are literally dead bugs, food crumbs and hair everywhere. We arrived late, but had to go out at 11pm to buy cleaning supplies and clean ourselves. I am really tempted to just leave and forget trying to vacation. Given Covid, cleanliness is essential. This is not only disappointing, but unsafe. Do not say you are sanitizing when you arent even sweeping!

How wonderful that they upgraded our room at no extra charge, to the mansion when we had discovered we reserved a room amongst families of hockey players (and this time we were here as a couple attending a wedding)

Some of the reviews of the villages are bad, but we found our stay at Bitterige to be very comfortable and enjoyable. The pool at Arbor is lovely and the staff are very nice. The property is much bigger than expected, so you have to drive around or catch the shuttle, but it’s easy to navigate and very pretty. Recommend staying here and we will be back!

The grounds are okay, the beach is on the Gulf side so really tame, but the rooms are depressing. In terms of a pool, hotel guests on the Villages side get shunted off to a large, old pool not within walking distance of the rooms. There are many nicer places to stay on the Cape.

We had a beutifull time, stayed in arbour town village.I read some concerning reviews, but i could find the reason for the bad information, maybe the room has a little smell because it has carpet.but overall it deserves 5 star because the grounds are crazy beautiful and dinner at the restaurant at the mansion is worth every bit ( make sure to make reservations )You will enjoy the staymake sure to go to the beach when the tide is low. :)

The property is beautiful. Our unit was also beautiful. The hallway carpeting is filthy and stained. We had no internet service at all, which is very frustrating! From having visited and stayed at The Villages area before, I knew to avoid the frustration of the difficulty of finding our specific unit at night, in the dark, by using landmarks to help us on our return. The unit numbers/front doors need to have better illumination. The area is huge, so is a challenge finding the right unit at night!

The area was spread out, has 2 pools, a short walk to a private beach, had restaurants on property but had some Mom & Pop stores to pick up extras not even 2 minutes for entrance and parking very convenient. Kayak rentals. Whole area was in a nice location.

Only if you could leave zero stars... This is absolutely not what I expected! I was here for a work meeting and after my company forked out $400/night for a 1-bed villa, I was shocked to see this piece of work right out of 1980. Half of what is out or hanging is crooked or disheveled. The window AC unit is struggling to maintain cool air. Carpet looks like it was transplanted from an abandoned home that was overtaken by 150 cats. Avoid the village at all costs!!!!

A bit of false advertising here. Make sure you don’t confuse this with the mansion. The website mostly shows photos of the mansion and not the villages. We checked in and our room smelled like musty mold. We insisted on a different room. While that room was moderately better it still was outdated and very shady. No lights at night, forget being handicap accessible, we had to carry luggage up and down dark steps. Nothing is close, prepare to drive to the pool and restaurant. They offer shuttle but on night one, a drunk customer and driver almost got into a fight. We ended up leaving a day early or was so bad. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this place. Very dissatisfied.

We stayed here for our 5-year-anniversary and we loved it! The staff was all-around friendly, the resort was top-notch, and customer service was great at all times. Great location and very good facilities especially for families. Disorganized service which can be a bit grating. Forgot to call us when room was ready. Forgot crib. Forgot to unclog the toilet after we called. Forgot to clean our room two nights in a row. Its possible that these service issues are endemic to the area and the seasonal nature of the staff. That said given the price point, I would expect better staff supervision and for these faux pas to not happen. In other words go here if you want larger rooms in a good location, but dont expect the polish of a luxury resort.

We got locked out of our rooms at 3 am - the resorts fault not ours because they for some unknown reason deactivated both our keys. The response - after being HUNG UP ON FIVE TIMES - was sorry hell be there soon I guess. And then we had to wait 30 mins+ in the cold for them to get their act together to get into our own paid-for (sub par) beds. Then at this point we found out that it wouldnt be new keys - we would have to wait another 30 minutes after being let in to get new keys. Which meant that if we wanted to leave the hotel int he morning we would again be locked out. And evidently there was no solution for this. This was after the worst meal of my life at the on-property hotel. Couldnt think less of a place if you paid me.

The resort was beautiful, we lived off the main building at the villages but its not bad, the only negative experience we had was, the cleaning crew was there when its our baby nap time. We asked them to come back at 5:30, the lady jotted our time and suite down and told us she will come back at 5:30, which was perfect for us, since we will be out at dinner. We came back, the room was not clean, we ended up spending a night without having clean towels.

Ro
Review №40

Not worth the price. We booked a “2 room” expecting 2 bedrooms as per photos. Turned out to be a one bedroom that did not fit our family. Amenities are very spread out. Stayed in “Villages” across the street from main “Mansion.” They would not let us use beach by the Mansion for “health reasons.” Only people who stayed in the Mansion were allowed to use the beach. Somehow people in lower priced units were thought to infect the beach. Our room had a strange odor. Maybe they knew more than they let on.

Ra

The photos online were much nicer than the room we had which also smelled like mildew. Service wasnt great and the cost just didnt seem justified. $300 a night (with resort fee) is pretty steep for a less than 24 hr stay (check in at 4pm, checkout is 11am) in a lackluster, run down room.

The location is great but that is it. The room we stayed in was not updated and the service was not great. The restaurant Linx, had the worst manger I have experienced. Her name is Pam and she was rude and the exact opposite of being customer service oriented. I was supposed to have my birthday dinner there and never got a table to eat.If you stay here, eat offsite. There is great food in town. The overall price was not worth it for the room or service!

Review №49

This place is incredibly disappointing. First, we arrive from across the country and our guaranteed check-in time is not guaranteed at all—1.5 hours later we are given the keys to our room. The front desk woman doesn’t apologize and instead of asking what would make the situation better, gives us a stamp to access a beach that I don’t care about since we are here for a wedding. When we get to our room—there are workers outside taking a break, flirting and blocking our access to the front steps. They don’t bother to move when we are lugging our suitcases up. We finally get to our room and there are literally cigarette burns in the sheets—like a cheap motel that costs a fortune. I call and they take two hours to come clean the sheets. There is also mold in the shower and flys in the room. Starting at 6am, I woke up because or upstairs neighbors are so loud you can hear every movement. It’s like being back in college with noisey neighbors. Would never stay here again.

Review №51

It was very pleasant, and the staff and restaurants are excellent, but for the gravitas and upscale-ness they put forward, the rooms are well appointed, but almost dingy. Furniture is ever so slightly worn and dinged up, carpets are worn a bit, and the whole outside area could use a solid power washing. That said, we stayed on the very outer edge of the cape cod season, so it may just be that they do all that at the beginning of the spring.

Truly Disappointed. Guest relations really disappointed me when not willing to work with me on my cancellation. (8 days before arrival due to an emergency) They ended up charging my credit card more than what I was even quoted in the beginning and I was told something different over the phone than what was in the fine small print.. I consider that deceptive.I hope it is worth losing the amount of customers that will be lost on the account of not willing to compromise and do the right thing for this customer that could have in turn sent them a lot of business!

This is the second time Ive stayed at this resort. Both visits were for my wifes company outing. Both times weve stayed at the arbor villages. Both times Ive been unimpressed. Considering the price of everything, I expect more. The rooms are worn out and desperately need to be updated. Not a big deal but I had to call twice to get my clogged tub drain fixed. Dont think they ever came out after the first call. The staff is great and very friendly. The restaurants and bars are very nice but expensive (not unexpected). Awesome bar right on the beach where you can watch the sunset. I highly recommend that location. The beach is nice but once its high tide it gets very crowded because the sand area becomes very minimal. Based on where weve stayed Id consider this place average. The rooms really bring my rating down but maybe other locations on the resort are better. If youre going to stay here Id recommend not staying at the Arbor Villages.
