If you love history, you must stop here! Even if you arent a Baylor fan, the fields are full of wildflowers in the springtime, and the historic buildings are a wonderful piece of Texas history! The second-oldest remaining structure in Texas (circa 1824) is here! A must if you are in the area!

Great little historic park with guided tours of antique cabins and school house, swings and picnic tables. Nice photo ops in a very pretty county setting with plenty of historical markers. We rode bikes 4miles down a hilly country road and it was BEAUTIFUL with all the spring flowers in bloom. It is what you make of it. We had a nice visit

This park is the location of and has the old ruins of the original Baylor College. There are a couple of historic buildings on the property. There are swings there for the kids. There is a picnic table available. The beautiful overgrown trees here are well worth the visit to this park. In the spring the blubonnets bloom along with other wildflowers. If you have the patience to sit for a while you will see butterflies fluttering through the flowers. Not much is located around this area so be sure to bring water or other drinks along for the kids or yourself. Take the 20 minute drive into Brenham and go to Must Be Heaven for lunch after your visit here. They have great chicken salad!Texas State Historical Marker No: 161151936 Bronze Plaque Centennial Marker

Just old buildings in a field, with an old pioneer house, old ruins from Baylor College, and an old schoolhouse. Provides some interesting options for photography, and in a good year it could make for great shots for people enjoying photography of the wildflowers against the buildings and ruins there. The facility is set up more for it being little more than a roadside attraction sans any employees. There are signs you can read for self guided tours. There were some picnic tables, and a restroom. This is not destination travel, but stopping off to stretch the legs on a bigger trip, its not bad.
