Such a fun family experience! Unique setting for entertaining live theater. Youll have to make a day of it if your commute involves the ferry, but its completely worth it. You have to hike down into the theatre (there is a transport option for those who are concerned about the trail or have access limitations), and they set up fun vignettes of show information and themed decor as you walk the paths. Cushions are available to rent, but a limited number, so consider bringing your own blankets or cushions to sit on. Performance goes on rain or shine, so plan accordingly!
So fun. Recommend ages a min. Of 5 years and older.
This is the most beautiful place I think Ive ever seen. The trails r pure beauty. No trash anywhere. All nature.
Our first time to the Forest theater and it was great, especially seeing Mama Mia. Cast was phenomenal. Being our first time though, it would have been nice to have been informed of the seating needs. The info could be put in the flyer that is distributed to outlying sources. Bring a cushion. They had run out of rental cushions when we got there, 25 minutes prior to show time. Overall a wonderful experience. Will definitely come back in the future.
This place is awesome. Beautiful place to take the family. Theres a little hike you have to do to get there (maybe 1/4 of a mile) which is super cool. They decorate the trail with things from the show. We went to see Peter Pan, so there were pirate signs and Capt. Hook pictures and stuff like that. They also sale snacks, popcorn and drinks (soda, water) and rent chairs so you can seat more comfortably. If you want to have a great time this summer, you should go there.
The big tree is amazing
So cool to share w the family. Theres a side road for disabled drop-off. Main trail is kinda steep. Leave time to get out because parking lot is double and triple parked. Really good for local talent. Also bring stadium chair w back. You, cannot use tall chairs because it will block out people behind you.
Great actors!!! Not so great staff. Seating is the most uncomfortable Ive experienced, I included a picture of the seat. Concrete and uneven. They dont have enough cushions to rent to guests. I was waiting in line to rent for my party of 3 and the girl looked at me and had me wait while she sent someone to get change for the person in front of me and after they left she stood there for another minute and then told me she was sold out. It wasnt a short time and I felt like she had multiple opportunities to tell me the person in front of me was getting the last one so I would not be standing there for nothing for so long. Super rude. But the actors were super good and now I know if I go back, bring something comfortable to sit on.
We saw the production Mamma Mia. I was blown away by the talent of the singing, the acting, the quality of production, choreography, and direction. If you get a chance to see this please, please, please go see it.The only reason this place is not a five star was the seating. It was built in the 20s and still has dirt step seating. They need to put in at least some wood bench seats to sit on. Not only is it uncomfortable, but if the Earth gets damp this would be even more uncomfortably wet I am sure. At least with a wood bench bottom you could dry them off with a towel.
The landscaping/ including all the many works of art, is incredibly phenomenal! The playground was exciting and calm, the location and terrain creates a peaceful type of vibe. And this land has so much to its history! Thats for another time!
This was one of the coolest outdoor theater Ive been too. I loved the walk down to the theater, the cast, concessions, staff, and all the memorabilia and pictures over the years. I went to Momma Mia and loved it!!!
They all were playing, singing and dancing like professionals. Live band and choreography were excellent. And the weather was perfect on Saturday.
This is a fabulous outdoor theater. Its been running for 95 years! This volunteer outdoor group, the Mountaineers, have built up a fabulous outdoor community experience for all ages. Literally newborns to people over 90 were in attendance of the musical Peter Pan, that I saw. This venue, the production, and hike to The Big Tree nearby were fabulous. There were lots of fun forest crafts to spot everywhere, always keep an eye open! I highly recommend everything about this place.
Great outdoor theater with two productions scheduled between May and August each year. Its a steep walk down to the theater so go early. You can bring your own food and drinks in. No alcohol because its a family attraction. Handicapped patrons have special access so they dont have to deal with the walk in. Buy your tickets online...its easy and slightly cheaper. We love going here. Would definitely recommend! Would also Ms bringing your own stadium seat, but they also have rentals available. Theres nothing better than enjoying a good play in the middle of nature.
Beautiful location. Bit of a hike
Amazingly beautiful forest setting and very talented performers! All for an affordable price too
Such an experience. worth a lifetime! Participants were inspiring in every way song dance and solo
Fantastic venue for while family! The best volunteers ever!!
This is a fantastic open air theater with natural acoustics. Every performance weve seen has been truly enjoyable. The performers are top-notch too. If youre curious, like me, you can read about the history of the theater online. If you like the outdoors and live theater, you have pack a picnic and see a performance at KFT.
Amazing live play acting in the middle of and Outdoor Theater surrounded by Rhododendron bushes and trees
Very cool place to visit
This was an amazing experience in a magical place. My daughter and I went there a month ago or so to see Peter Pan and it was a fun play set in a he forest in a sunken theater carved into the natural setting. This is a special place and if you are looking for something unique to the PNW, this is it.
Incredible venue. World class.

The theatre is beautiful and the play was very well done.
Magical little theatre in Seabeck that has been putting on shows since 1923. Just saw Peter Pan with my kids and had a great time.
Great place for families and the performances are always spot on.
Wonderful cant wait to go again.
A meaningful play, great acting from all the cast, especially the 12-year-old lead, fantastic setting! This is a must-see event--both the spring & summer plays.
Went and saw Peter Pan and really liked it. Will definitely go back next season.
Ive Loved this place since I was a kid. Now I plan on taking my kids there this season.
A great experience. wonderful players and setting and how many folks can say that they weathered a 2 minute shower right in their middle of them play, and then actors didnt skip a beat, even then youngest who was 5!!!
