We had such a great time! This was so much fun for a group and so different! My only complaint was the seating area for when you were in between throws. Not a huge deal - I think maybe the people in the lane next to us were just taking up a lot of room. Otherwise, it was a total blast and would definitely recommend! You feel like youre on vacation somewhere doing an activity! So fun and challenging! Even though its a bar, my 12 year old brother was okay and had a blast throwing axes. Our lane was very far down from the bar area, and since waitresses are coming back and forth, we could have gotten drinks or snacks without him even having to walk in that area. So I would say pretty kid friendly, as long as you trust the kids youre bringing with an axe! lol. Awesome place! Will definitely be back!

Great themed bar. It opened about 3 months ago and still appears to be under construction as they add a bar and a darts area. The axe throwing was a lot of fun. You pay $20 a person and get two axes and two boards for a lane for an hour. For beginners, they do offer a brief tutorial on axe throwing technique.I’m not sure why they charge you per person and not per lane. If 10 people are on a lane, the same number of axes are being thrown in an hour compared to 2 people.I would love to go back again.

Absolutely a great time!! Staff is helpful with learning to throw axes and the food a drink service was was consistent and timely. My wife and I enjoyed our experience and definitely will be back! Top Notch establishment.

We have had the best time here! We walked in, never throwing a axe before and Sam took a great amount of time to explain to us how to throw. The staff was extremely attentive during our visits. I highly recommend for date night, family night, or out with friends!

Keith and Kathy are great and fun a fantastic ship. All of the staff were nice and we felt immediately welcomed. It was especially wonderful when the staff saw that my boyfriend was wiping the floor with me in our games and immediately gave me feedback on how to up my axe throwing game. I’m addition, the food was to die for and the beer selection was great! We will definitely go back (especially because I need a rematch).

The food is great! The staff were all great minus the guy we had on our lane. He did not help us at all, instead he spent the whole time talking to girls in the office. The bearded guy helped us and gave us tips to improve, he was awesome. After being ignored by the guy our lane we watched his next group and he never left there side as it was 3 young girls, yet when I asked him a question at the start I had to repeat myself several times before he rolled his eyes and answered me then walked off and went back to ignoring us.

I had an amazing time! I sat at the bar and was welcomed by both the owners who are so easy going and friendly. They made me feel very welcome and answered any questions I had. I had the bologna sandwich with waffle fries and the pretzel appetizer! It was delicious! Cant wait to come back and throw axes!

The service is amazing. The food is the best Ive ever had and you get to throw axes and drink beer. What else do you need in life?! Highly recommend!

Black Axes of Brandon MS was not a very welcoming environment. 25 minutes of our paid hour consisted of coaching from employees and owners that could not do what they were trying to teach us to do. Any small mistake in throwing the axe consisted of scolding, side eye-ing, and, “small man rage” from the the bartender.We understand that we were not the best at axe throwing but the lack of patience and understanding from most employees discouraged any further participation from my group and me. We were having fun trying to learn a new thing and the slightest rebound of an axe towards our feet after hitting flat against a wall made the bartender/owner/small man leave his post, snatch the axes out of our hands, and raise his voice his voice to threaten to kick us out. I believe this was done to assert his dominance over the small crowed that had gathered around us and show everybody how truly powerful he could be.The only thing keeping me from giving Black Axes a 1 star review is the kindness and understanding of the bald gentleman with the beard that was actually trying to correctly and patiently walk us through the process instead of immediately throwing out accusations and threats.I know a random opinion does not matter on the internet but I would not recommend Black Axes in Brandon unless you an experienced, above average axe thrower.

This is the greatest place! I was terrified to throw an axe but the 2 guys working were super helpful and took time to teach us to throw properly. We didnt end up eating but the food smelled WONDERFUL!! Definitely will be back!

Great atmosphere, lots of fun, fair prices, and the staff was the best part. Went on a Sunday afternoon so not sure about a more rowdy crowded night but I loved everything about it. They offer beer and other beverages. Staff was real helpful and showed us the best ways to throw. I definitely recommend it.

This was not my first time there and far from my first time ever throwing. The axe throwing part was fun, but one of the owners came and grilled me after my first throw because they thought I was throwing as hard as I could, I wasn’t, and he talked down to my wife because the axe bounced awkward. I get that it’s his business but teach your customer not belittle them.

Super fun place, no complaints. Well worth my money.

This is one of the best places in the Jackson area! If you haven’t been there do yourself a favor. Owners are amazing , atmosphere is beyond awesome. I absolutely LOVE IT!!!

Entirely too much fun throwing axes. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but the fun started as soon as we walked through the door. Keith and Cathy truly want you to have a great time! Our experience was unfortunately ruined because of the micromanaging staff. Make sure your form is perfect and you’re throwing it with just the right amount of effort, or else they will watch you like a hawk!!!

We had a heck of a time! Friendly staff and owners. It beats the heck out of a bowling night. We will be coming back and bringing friends.
