We enjoyed this movie theater a lot. Excellent and very comfortable lounge chair style seating. We saw Tenet - an excellent sci-fi movie. The theater was rather empty, but thats probably because people are slowly going back to the movies, we went to see the movie on a Tuesday, and the show was at dinner time (6:15pm). The theaters very nice and clean. We would definitely recommend this movie theater.

It felt great to head back to AMC Braintree. It was great experience. The few Staff I had the opportunity to speak with were friendly.

This theater is overpriced, both the tickets and concessions. It cost $30 for 3 drinks and a bag of stale, overly salted popcorn!! Sound quality is definitely lacking. Additionally, the bathroom was absolutely beyond revolting. Words won’t do it justice, so I attached pictures. The whole place is just dirty and unkempt. And the employees range from apathetic to flat out rude. Will never go back.

Great before the pandemic but now no afternoon showings and no popcorn.

Its a good movie theater. I like the recliner chairs and the discount tickets on Tuesdays. The place needs to be cleaned period because everytime I go its dirty.

This has always been my favorite theater to go to due to the comfy seats and food service, but tonight solidified my love for this theater! A security guard named Vinny was kind enough to come out and jump start our car when our battery died, and wouldn’t even accept a tip for it. Thank you Vinny for being so generous!

Really like it was worth the drive. Chairs were really comfortable. I do recommend buying your tickets online so you can get the seats you want and the so that you can be next to the people you go with.

This theater has gotten my wife and I back into seeing movies in the theater.Big, comfy, clean seats. Reserved seating. Reasonable prices on tickets and snacks. What more could you ask for?!

Good location its right off the highway theres restaurants at south shore plaza and another plaza across the street. Allot of parking available. Seats are plush comfortable and the armrest go up so you can hold your significant other. Food is expensive like movie theaters its not worth the price. Gourmet popcorn was good. Cleanliness is questionable cleaning the theater between movies is below subpar popcorn candy and wet seats from a drink I hope. Bathrooms arent taken care until maybe the first show and last show other then that its forgotten and disgusting. Matinee ends at 12 and theres usually one movie showing before that time...

Movie selections good, websites a little hard to navigate but I wont take away a star for something so trivial. The seats were very comfortable, but some of the recliner chairs didnt work! Other than that, great experience, and relatively cheap for a movie theater. Five stars

The people here are awful. they wouldn’t let us see a movie since we weren’t 18. We are all 17. what kind of service is this. it’s a MOVIE. We are all mature enough. Insane...

Wow. First time at amc movie theatre. Its definitely a 5 star...so much more comfortable than a regular showcase movie theatre. From now on...always amc over showcase. Never going back to standard showcase theatre unless i really really have to. AMC..you are the standard! Just look and feel the comfort of these seats while you watch your movies...

I wont go here again even though I live so close I could walk there. Bathroom was completely trashed. Ive never seen anything so terrible and this was for a 1:30 matinee with my children. Ill be going to the Randolph theater from now on.

Friendly staff at the concession stand. And that’s my only positive. The prices were hilarious. $17 for a large popcorn and a drink. The worst part was the bathroom : it was dirty and none of the stalls had toilet paper. We were all using the paper toilet seat covers because there was nothing else ! No soap in the dispenser that I used or in the sink next to it and no paper towels left. Just GROSS.

This AMC is my go to spot for movies. Reserved recliner seats and smaller theater makes a more intimate setting. Its also close to numerous restaurants making date night outings just right.

More like how theaters used to be, i.e. smaller and more personable.I liked it. Leather seats reclined aaaaall the way back. The theater didnt have allot of seats but again, I prefer that. Perhaps it was due to Xmas vacation overload but the theater couldve been cleaner hence 4* instead of 5

This place is AWESOME!! They have reclining seats with your so so comfortable! You can pick where you want to sit when youre getting your tickets, instead of trying to find a spot in a dark theatre w ppl in the rows that you have to get by.. they have all different snacks and food to eat like pizza pretzels and a lot more.. also if you go before noon on most days the price is half price..7$! ( Instead of 12 or 14$!) This is great if you are a bargain Hunter and looking to save some money & have more for snacks!Plus, they have shops around the theatre, NEW shops, places to eat ( They have a Fridays) and the Sheraton Hotel is right there too..so if youre having a big birthday and a good idea is to rent a room there and go out to eat and do some shopping and see movie... Plus its right across the street from the South Shore plaza, and surrounded by a whole bunch of shopping and places to eat in that whole area of Braintree..

Im from the cape originally so I love AMC Braintree. The comfy reclining seats and the large screens feel like such a luxury. They also have the Coca-Cola freestyle machine which I always take advantage of (Grape Sprite is SUCH a good combo). Parking lot isnt great, but there isnt much that can be done about that.

Theater was great, while watching the movie. But, was disgusted by the lobby, as it was not clean and the food areas were filthy!

It isnt for this place I keep my pass. Its rare a place makes me want to sanitize immediate after exiting but....The food is passable if youve got a stomach for stale processed food. The manager, he can choke. The employees are ok tho. Id go back but bring clothes I wouldnt mind burning

On the positive side, the staff is nice and it is usually very clean and the seats are very comfortable. On the negative, it is high volume especially on $5 movie night. This leads to a lot of mess that it is hard for the staff to keep up with - especially around the soda machines and in the bathrooms. This is as much about an oblivious, rude and uncaring audience as anything the staff does - apparently they resent the movie theater they have come to for a good time and must abuse it to show their disdain. Or they just cant be bothered because they are entitled and think their fellow patrons and the staff are beneath them. So people, just asking for a little more care and consideration of your fellow citizens and the theater.Finally, this extends to the seats. The seats that are broken dont get broken by the staff or from people just sitting/reclining in them. You have to go some to break them - it takes a real effort. Whether it is teens or whoever, you cant blame that type of vandalism on the theater.

Normally good. Ive been a customer here for 20 years. They wouldnt let my husband and I watch the movie because he had his box of work uniforms and they said it would be suspicious and an obstruction. I got a refund and left. Very disappointing seeing how we dont have a car.

Youd better look carefully at a map before you get in the car because this place would be a nightmare to find in the dark. Its tucked away and must have been built after the rest of the mall? Otherwise nice though I wish they had more entry doors. I get that its for security though.

Everything was almost great. I love the recliners at AMC but the self serve soda area is always a problem when it comes to cleanliness. Im sure people do clean the area but it needs more attention. If there was someone more attentive to cleaning in that location, 5 stars would be my choice.

Awesome movie theater! Top of the line reclining seats. Its best practice to reserve tickets in advance, pick your seats in advance, then skip the box office line and have your phone scanned by the usher checking tickets. Its hassle free and if you have an AMC pass there are some free upgrades. Easily the most comfortable theater in the area.

The chairs are big and can recline. Movie screen is fine and so is the sound system. Tickets are a bit pricier then other amc theaters. (Around $15 for one ticket) Also a free big parking lot. Also is conveniently across the street from the Braintree mall.

This is the only movie theater I will go to! Recliner seats and good popcorn what more could you ask for! And student discounted tix!!! And free size upgrades on popcorn and drinks for stubs members! I just really love this theater y’all

This is a great place with some of the most comfortable movie theatre seating that I have ever had. The seats are able to recline and are cushioned perfectly. The seating is also assigned, so you never have to worry about finding a seat to see the movie. The only reason that I did not rate AMC 5 stars is that their prices for food are high.

Theatre is a bit outdated..would be nice if they could add IMAX or Dolby. Also, doors into the theatre arent sound proof...if there is a large crowd in the lobby, sounds filter in and can be extremely annoying.

Its comfortable for me even though I am in a wheelchair. That is very important to me.

Always a great place to see a show. Unfortunately my latest visit we had an issue. In theatre 10 we had a seat that that had a broken arm with sharp edge. Notified an employee and asked if we could switch seats. Nothing came of it just got a sorry and thats about it.

I really wish the bathroom sinks worked better (lack of soap, and faucets that dont work)

Its sad how south bay is a newer build yet I prefer this location the seats are better and actually do a full recline and the service is by far top notch even when you order from your seat. I will drive out of my way just to continue to to view my movies at south bay

This AMC is extremely convenient for those who live in the area or are visiting south shore plaza. They generally have a fresh supply of popcorn rotating in and out closer to peak movie hours (5-9pm). The crew members here are always friendly and nice.The theater itself overall feels dated. They put in recliner seats and added digital projectors, but the interior feels like it’s in major need of an upgrade. It also just has a slight feeling of being less than clean at many times, where popcorn or drink spills can sometimes take a while to get cleaned up - more than likely due to the busy nature of this theater. Also, there have been more than one instances of the seat recliners being broken on seats we’ve booked. This generally can be solved by a crew member power cycling the seat, but it’s not ideal to have that happen more than once for a regular like me.

Theater is clean and love the reclining seats! Always go back!

The theater overall is good. I see a movie at least once a week. The disabled bathroom stall in the ladies bathroom to the right when you walk in has been broken for weeks. Seriously! How long does it take for it to get fixed?

Ive been coming here for at least a decade. Only issue... Seat B Row F recliner was broken for Endgame but fixed when we came back for Spiderman. Not a huge deal at all. Ive never have had a poor experience here. Would recommend!

Love this theater. Comfortable theater with extensive parking. They have comfy recliner seats and excellent sound system. Online Ticketing system is accurate which has seat map options and allows seat selection. From last couple of years, I along with family and friends have seen movies here several times and its always great! However, snacks are Expensive like all other theaters.

Seats were huge and comfortable.great night out with my granddaughter.

One of my favorite local theatres to go to. They have comfy chairs and its right off the highway and easy to get to. A big plus is they are right across the street from the mall and there are tons of restaurants within walking distance.

I had a tricky time finding it. It was my first time going there! Its a nice looking theater and appeared to be very clean at the entrance and the snack counter, until you grab napkins and straws and the like. It was a sticky mess! However, it was busy and clearly a very popular place to be as there was a lot of movie goers. I had also ordered an icey, but it was 100% liquid when they handed it to me. I am glad I was smart enough to buy my tickets online because almost every screen was sold out when I arrived. The theater I was in was a pretty good size and the seats are comfortably spaced out and recline... which is amazing! The screen and the movie itself was fine. I would have given 5 stars if my icey had ice in it. Hah.

Everything about the movie was wonderful and I could of given it a 5 star but Braintree AMC was not a clean place. I havent been there for while and when I walked into the lobby it was very filthy. I almost told my husband I wanted to leave but I stayed and was hoping the inside theater was okay and it was thank God.

Ladies bathroom was disgusting.Empty soap dispensers, no toilet paper in handicapped stall, paper towels overflowing in bucket.

Nice, comfortable chairs but people trash it. People throw things on the floor, they dont clean up after themselves, bathrooms are often dirty. Unfortunately, to keep up with the mess people leave behind, they need to employ more people to keep it clean (including, the bathrooms).

A good theatre that never gets too busy, not too many kids, and is in good condition. Been here often and only had one movie impacted (a light still on during a movie). Recliners are in generally good condition and comfortable. Food and drink options could be better.

Reclining Seats....Soooo Very Nice!!!

This place is way way way overpriced but comfortable and occasionally clean. The service is fine. Movie theaters are clearly some of the corner-cuttingest businesses that exist, and Btree AMC is no exception, but not the worst.

Nice comfy theatreLove the RECLINING SEATS! We dont do this often so the extra expense was worth it. Many selections for drinks. Coke, tea, frosties and you can go back ad often as you want pretty clean too. Nice selection for foods.

Place feels like a step back in time. Actual theatres are updated but the entrance and facade is like a pre 21st century experience. Very strange.

I had the impression it was not as clean as other AMC theaters, and the lobby area is small that I didnt feel like hanging out in there. However, the recliner seats are very comfortable and if Youre with your partner, you can rise the arm seat and snuggle. Sound system and video qualities are very good, keeping their standards, so the theater did its job.

It was a late movie, and the ticket person was very polite. As well as the cashier at the concession stand, seeing I was new to using the AMC app. I love coming to this theater, I have always been treated well here.

The self check out was covered by an advertisement and the line took a while because the ticket machine was down. Overall it was okay.

Bathroom was absolutely filthy for the entire time we were there. No toilet paper in multiple stalls. I had to bring a 4 year old into the ladies room three times over a two and half hour period and the area just got more and more disgusting. Theater was not busy at all so there was no excuse for this. I also recommend that management speak to their staff at the food counters. They couldnt be more remote or detached from their jobs. The only reason that I gave this two stars over one is because the actual theater was fine.

Don’t use the pre-order concessions service. They charge several dollars for delivery, but then didn’t show up. Wouldn’t refund the fee when I had to go pick it up myself.

I used to love this place. But now, it is falling apart. They definitely need to do some updates. Most of the seats are broken, we always have problems with the sodas machine and the area next to it is always dirty and sticky.

Nice place, things usually in good repair. 3 soda dispensers, 1 not working. Running maintenance it said. Inmediately before the first movie of the day is not the best time. Young lady at the snack counter not engaged and flat tone in speaking. Prices still crazy on snacks. No surprise there, right? Reclining seats very comfortable.

I love going to the movies but the movie theater is not clean. The chairs are sticky inside the movie theater,the carpets are dirty and smell inside the movie theater and there is always leftover food, napkins, cups, popcorn bags between the movie theater seats. There may need to have more trash bins in different locations with the movie theater rooms as this is not very appealing. Even the beautiful reclining chairs have holes in them and the cupholders are dirty and some of the chairs either dont recline because they controls have been broken or that the reclining chairs themselves are broken. This needs to be fixed.
