Where do I begin - This place is INCREDIBLE! To start, the customer service and friendly hosts are TOP NOTCH! If you want a snack or pizza at a fair price to get some relief from BBQ every night, the hosts have CHEAP snacks along with cheap firewood - always available. Boats, pontoons, kayaks, and canoes available with a swimming pool and hot tub for people to use. The cabins (although very rustic) were EXACTLY what we were looking for. FORGET huge resorts with screaming kids and pretentious parents - give me the outdoors and seclusion - this resort has it all - with docks at every corner of the resort. I have never found such lucky fishing holes - with snapping turtles to boot! We definitely are booking this place again in the fall and will be returning annually. Cannot say enough about how great the hosts/owners were!

Beautiful wooded sites with plenty of space in between. Quiet, no loud music or barking dogs. Lovely pool and hot tub. Friendly, helpful owners and seasonal residents. Bathhouse is closed at this time. Close to Paul Bunyon trail and easy 8 ish miles to Baxter town for shopping and food.

I wasnt sure what to expect when I made my reservation, but I must say, it was one of the best decisions I have made in a long time. I didnt know how rugged or rustic it would be, but I feared for no reason. I was looking for something other than a hotel room or a four-star room for my vacation. I wanted to be in beautiful surroundings with nature around me where I could unplug and relax. Niemeyers was just the ticket. It was incredibly peaceful and beautiful, as you can see by the photos I am attaching. My cabin wasnt new, but it was definitely comfortable. Some of the larger cabins looked much newer than mine. The views were spectacular as was the fishing. To be honest, I am not a fisherman, but I caught about two dozen from the dock as well as on our pontoon ride. The pontoon was a great way to spend the day, by the way. They are available for rent while kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats were free. If youre not a fisherman, there are walking trails nearby and there are good antique stores to explore in Brainerd, Baxter, and especially Crosby. If you just want to get away from it all, bring some books and sit on your deck or by one of the many fire pits. And you can stay connected with the world too, if you want, because free wifi is available throughout the camp. The office has some good frozen pizzas (not the cheap brands), ice cream treats (not the cheap brands), pop, ice, charcoal, and wood for the fire pits if you need anything like that. And they dont gouge you with the prices. Everything seemed reasonably priced. It was in-line or lower than I have seen at other places. The owners of the camp were friendly and accommodating. The camp has the feel of a mom & pop business and not a corporate entity. This was my first time visiting the camp, but it definitely will not be my last. I know I sound like I am writing a commercial for their establishment, but I kind of am. If youre interested or intrigued about coming here, dont hesitate. The week I spent here was one of the best I have had in a long time.

We stayed here for the Fourth of July with three adults and three kids and had a blast! Great pool, nice little swing set and friendly people. We were in cabin number four which was very modern and comfortable with air-conditioning etc. Great loft where the three kids slept. The river was a little high with all the rain but we managed to land some catfish from our canoe not too far off the dock!

Ive stayed here a few times now and had so much fun. There are varied options for lodging and the RV spots are nice sized lots. Pricing is also fair. What you cant buy is the friendly, helpful, and fun people you will surround yourself with here. Everyone gets together for a 4th of July parade through the grounds and its just so fun.

This is a beautiful location that has been family owned and run since the 70s. It is a beautiful place to experience what Minnesota has to offer right on a beautifully calm portion of the Mississippi. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

The owners home we stayed in was really nice, very comfortable yet spacious. Having multiple families stay together during a vacation is a true advantage versus individual cabins. The private dock was great and close to the launch site. The swimming pool and hot tub were a huge hit for adults and children. We were surprised it was not crowded and did value the privacy with just our family. The owners and staff members were very pleasant and helpful to meet our needs. We enjoyed the gift shop where we purchased sweatshirts, cups and ice cream. Staying at the private home allowed us to escape the noisy city while enjoying and relax in a nature filled quiet environment. We heard the loons, saw deer and several frogs which the children enjoyed trying to catch. We very much enjoyed the bonfire where we had smores and waved at passing boats. This was our first multi-family vacation. We will definitively be returning and recommending this to others. ~The Brust Family

We have rented at RRR for two years now and have nothing but great things to say. Corby and Sheila are welcoming, gracious, and amazingly generous and helpful. This is the only place that I recommend to others if they are looking for a great Minnesota vacation.

Our family recently stayed at the 6 bedroom private home rental. We had to deal with mice ourselves, we had to clean up spider webs all over the deck area just to enjoy it, there was no was hardly any cleaning supplies. Alot of the dishes we had to wash before we could use them. We were not informed about needing to buy our own paper goods. Also we were not able to use the dock at all because it is in a bay covered by bogs that you cant drive a boat thru. For the price we paid it was not worth it.

I wont ramble on-and-on about the extreme kindness and service we received while staying at this resort, instead I will simply say I was overwhelmed with the generosity these people provide. Our Memorial Day Camping Reservations fell apart and the Niemeyers came to the rescue. Not only did they make room for us, but went far beyond expectations!!!I never knew there are people like this in the resort or any business.I know they will take care of anyone who arrives.

Super friendly and helpful! I was just picking up some friends in a canoe off of the river, but they were very nice and let us load up the gear right at their landing and use the portable bathroom.
