Worth it even if you dont know anything about the oil business. The big tool shop was great and has an exhibit youve probably never seen before. The host was very knowledgeable and took time to explain the items we were interested in. Wish there was more worthwhile things in the gift shop: reproduction maps of the wells or replicas of the nitro canisters would have been a hoot.

A really nice museum with alot of history and so much information. The woman who gave us a tour. Could answer any questions we had wil alot of accurate info and examples. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is interested in history or geology. So stop and learn why pennsylvania oil is/was so sought after for it qualities. And enjoy a few hours where your kids put away their phones.

I learned so much from this visit, and had just a wonderful time. It is easily worth the entrance fee, and would be even if they doubled it. Dont miss this opportunity to learn about the area history of oil and gas, and have some great demonstrations.

Very nice little small town museum on the local oil industry. Lots of artifacts to look at and see. Some background info was provided, but I thought that the stories behind some of the items could be more extensive. They have a real well drilling rig on site and some working old heavy engines that were used during the day.

First class museum on the history of oil production in and near Bradford. If you have any interest in history you should visit. Sam the docent is a supreme wealth of information and needs to write a book! Thank you for the tour, I will be back.

Charming olde time musuem. Wonderful guide. I learned all sorts of things...who would have thought petroleum could be so interesting! How oil was discovered, why PA oil was so highly valued...(and it saved the great whales from extinction!) What different oils look like, how they managed to pump it out...spoiler: Zippo lighters in every miners tool kit!And an unexpected delight: I bought a $1.25 chocolate bar in the gift shop made by a local company. Omg, Amazing! (If dark, rich, Belgium chocolate is your taste). If had opened it before I got back in the car, I would have bought more. I seriously considered turning around.
