This was a great little preserve! Its pretty short, definitely much smaller/shorter to walk than Perico Preserve down the road, but its nice to do both in the same day, too! I did get to see quite a few birds, and it is neat that they include history along the paths, too. The flat wooden pathways are easy to walk on, as well.

Nice short trail. Great for kids as its not too long and has a cool overlook. There is a lot of direct sunlight, so make sure to bring your sunscreen! If you are childless, the nearby Perico Preserve is much more scenic

Neal Preserve has one of the longest Boardwalks among any other parks, and also it is not crowded so a + there

Great boardwalk and nice paths that walk you through lessons in local plants and a history of the area. While walking along it feels as if you are in another time and not surrounded by the hustle and bustle of what the area has become now. Enjoy and don’t forget to treasure these spots.

Free to park & walk around. No dogs allowed. Porta potty, garbage cans, and picnic table with cover. No water. Posted hours: sunrise to sunset. No gate. There are 2 loops, total is perhaps 3/4 mile. Very flat (compressed sand/ shells & boardwalk), well maintained, and level. Several interpretive signs.

So we was chillin in the tower right, and then it started to pour rain which sucked bc we just started chiefn. So we had to run back to the car and I was wearing slides, I ran all the way back while keeping it lit in my mouth #hoodiesqua #5Star #wouldcomeagain

The trails here are a bit short, but the ecosystem here seems to be extremely healthy, with delicious air and colors, and to me the shades of green here were exceptionally vibrant. Definitely would recommend, but dont be surprised if you walk around the whole area pretty quickly.
