Will definitely be back! Had a wonderful time celebrating 13 yr. old daughters birthday with these wonderful horses and staff. Horses were very even tempered and well cared for. The water experience was so unique and fun. Staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Well worth it!

My boyfriend Devon scheduled for us to ride horses on my birthday. We showed up at the designated time and there was no one there...We tried multiple times to contact them via phone and email with no response. The week after they provided a refund with no explanation. Im sure that numerous people have had a wonderful experience with this company. We however, did not and viewed everything as unreliable and extremely unprofessional. We will not be using Real Beach Horses again.

This place is a joke. He has not had horses on the beach for months and keeps scheduling people knowing that and then doesn’t bother to cancel them or will cancel them the day of or before if the people harass him for a confirmation for the ride. We were unfortunately people that did not get notified that it was canceled and is not refunding us as of yet. This experience was one of a kind. The instructors were fun and personable. If youre a beginner like me they make you feel comfortable riding and swimming with the horse.

My daughter works for this man. He has not paid her for a month now. She is a college student and this was her summer job. Her summer savings. Do not book a ride with this guy. He has not paid anyone that works for him in a month. Including the horses and the people that bring the horses to the beach. Horses have to eat. This guy sits in his house booking rides. He has zero overhead. He has not paid anyone. Do not book a ride from this guy. Do not work for this guy. Yes Tim it is 100% factual. You have not paid any of the people that worked for you for a month including my daughter. And last time I spoke to you about this yo said you were releasing money to pay the guides. You lied again.

Best experience Ive had! The horses were amazing, so intelligent and I felt very safe! The girls were leading amazingly and explaining everything very detailed, we felt very good and confident! Definitely will recommend to all my friends, and will go again myself ! :)

Had an amazing time with our guide. Got to see amazing Florida wildlife. These are hands down the nicest and well kept horses my mother and I have had the pleasure riding. I would highly recommend and cant wait to do this again soon!

Absolutely love these people and all their horses!!!! Oh my goodness just all around good people. Rescue horses who love water. Horses who love trail rides. I’ve done them both! The chill ride in the water was amazing but there was something just so peaceful about the trail ride. I do not have enough good words to say about these guys and their horses.

Great adventure and perfect weather, beautiful horses and professional people in charge. ..would highly recommend, but not really for young children or inexperienced riders, these are big horses and even though they are sweet tempered, it does take some strength and experience to handle them, and dont be afraid to go in the water, because they go in deep and swim with you on back...enjoy!

We had a blast! Would highly recommend if you need an adventure. Our guide was wonderful pointing out wild life and telling us fun stories about our horses along the way. We even got to ride while our horses swam for a bit. The horses were so calm/well trained and sweet.

I took my daughter and best friend for her 8th birthday and we had Chrissy, Hana, and Tabitha. I HIGHLY recommend asking for them! They really took the time to let the girls enjoy the experience and were so patient with them. They took so many great pictures and videos for us. It was worth every penny! This was a very cool family experience. These were all animals that were rescued and brought to a natural habitat setting where they are definitely cared for well. The guided tour was extremely informative and well worth the cost. If you have any interest in crocodiles alligators and or other lizards this is definitely a place to visit.

The ride at Deer Prairie Park was excellent. Horses were clean, happy, healthy and nice to ride. The scenery and wildlife made for a beautiful ride and the guide was great. Loved it.

One of the best rides I have ever had!

We bought this excursion for my dad who is turning 65 years old. We took three small children and the entire family has never experienced anything like it! The staff was absolutely incredible and the horses were beautifully well trained. It far exceeded our expectations!! I would recommend this to everyone and I have.

Everyone should try this amazing beach ride with the horses. My husband and I brought our seven-year-old daughter. This experience was exceptional from start to finish. We went on a two-week vacation in three states and this was by far our favorite event from the trip.First - We are horse people and support rescue. We would not do this if it wasn’t clear the horses were treated well. The horses were well-groomed, treated kindly and the handlers had extraordinary communication skills with both the horses and riders. They staff was enthusiastic and friendly before, during and after the ride. And the horses were happy doing this - They loved the water and it genuinely was a fun experience for everyone.Second - We are very mindful of safety with horses. If you’re afraid of horses (or falling), this is the perfect place to take a stress-free ride. We actually drove out to watch a ride and ask about safety before booking for the next day. I would not have put my seven-year-old daughter on the back of a horse if I wasn’t fully confident that she would be safe. Each rider has a guide and a lead rope to hold the horse to maintain control. The children wear helmets and they offer life jackets for all ages. If my daughter had fallen (which she didn’t), she would have just landed safely in the water with a life vest and the handler would have been in control of the situation immediately. The guide doesn’t leave you alone with the horse and they maintain control the whole time so you can enjoy without fear.Finally, we had an experience like nothing else. I’ve ridden horses for years at a relatively novice level. I’m not going to wow anyone with my horse skills, but I’ve taken Western and English riding classes. This was so different. You weren’t worried about the next step to keep yourself safe or learn something new. You were just enjoying the horse and being in the water with them. The staff took tons of photos and we also were able to bring waterproof iPhone cases to take photos throughout the ride.I wish I could give more stars. This is an experience for all levels of skill and all riders. It was so special and we are so grateful to the staff and horses for making this happen. Thank you, Beach Horses! :)

I just left this location and we ahd The best experience that we could of imagined. The best birthday gift ever.... For my daughter. The horses were gorgeous, the guides were extremely friendly, the beach ride was so much fun, and swimming with the horses was amazing. I recommend to do both beach ride and swimming with the horses.

We had an excellent and amazing experience. We did the beach/swim ride and had a fantastic time. Each rider had a guide and we felt very safe and cared for. The horses were happy and well behaved and appeared healthy and fit. The guides were happy to take pictures for us, and made sure we were having a good time. The weather was perfect and the water was SO warm! TIP: be sure to buy a waterproof disposable camera and something waterproof to carry it in.

We booked the 2-Hour trail ride. Due to an accident with the car we were late and couldn’t call on time. Our guide Jim was waiting for us which was absolutely amazing. We were really thankful! The ride was amazing, we saw so much wildlife out on the trail from Deer to Alligators and the nature sounds from the forest and river were so relaxing. Jim has lots of knowledge and was really helpful. Even my friend who never really rode horses before had a good time. Really recommended. Great horses, great people. Thanks so much again! We will definitely come back

If youre wondering whether or not to book this, book this. Dont hesitate. Dont wait. Just book this - it was the BEST experience. Without a doubt would recommend them. Many of the horses are rescues from all over the country, and theyll happily tell you all about each and every one of them. We went out with a group of 5, it was us and 2 guides - absolutely wonderful. Spent about an hour in the water with the horses, walking along the beach, trotting through the water and even letting the kids horse surf before we walked back in. Cameras are allowed and we have some amazing photos of a wonderful once in a lifetime experience.

It seemed a little pricey but this was an experience of a lifetime! My 8yr old daughter and I absolutely loves every second and captured some amazing pictures with my phone.

My bf and I did this on our vacation and we had a great time! Super nice guides and the horses seemed happy and well cared for. I’ve ridden before and he hasn’t and they were able to make sure we both had a great experience.

We had a really great day time with the Beach Horses in the Palma Sola Bay!It is a little on the pricy side but in my opinion totally worth it. My daughter (7) had so much fun standing on the horse and doing Acrobatics. Our Guide Olaf was so incredibly nice, friendly and patient.

We booked a trip with the Beach Horses the day after we got married on Anna Maria Island, and it was the perfect choice!We turned up just around the time as the sun was setting and we were the only two people booked onto the slot. We chose the swimming with horses in the water option as I have never seen this anywhere else! I unfortunately cant remember the name of the lady who took us out into Palma Sola Bay (it was a dark haired lady on the 23 May 19 at 6:45 in the evening) but she was absolutely wonderful to us both and gave us a great experience. She took loads of pictures for us to remember our wonderful experience and took the time to let us experience all the different aspects of the trip. We rode the horses out in the water and then swam with them, galloped with them and balanced on their backs (which gave us great photos!) The horses were beautiful and so chilled, I had Buster Brown who was so sweet and super chilled! My partner had Sparkles who was a little character and liked to be cheeky. I can tell the owner of these horses absolutely loves them and they love him back and it was so great to see them so well looked, especially considering how the horses were rescued. It is super reasonably priced for the experience you get and is great for all experience levels: I have never really ridden a horse before whereas my husband has substantial experience and both of us got so much out of it! If you are in the area please give these people and their beautiful horses a visit, you will have memories for life!Rachael and Byron

Unfortunately the day was not great as it was cloudy and rainy, so we were not able to get into the water however we were given a rain check to do that which is valid for a year. Hope to get better weather next time! Wonderful staff.

This was awesome - we had an wonderful ride in the sea! It was so nice and special - we can only recommend to everyone to try it. You don’t need good riding skills the horses are so nice an calm - so calm horses I have never seen before! The horses are absolutely clean and healthy! So this is great adventure for people who love special things!

Yesterday my wife and I went to ride horses sense we are on our honeymoon. The instructor Jen was so helpful and amazing to work with she taught us a lot about the horses how to ride and all the horse rescues they are apart of it was amazing. The other lady Nicole was very sweet and kind as well we had such a great experience especially my wife who has never ridden before! We love how they take care of each horse and know the history with each and everyone of them they definitely knew which horses to match everyone is our group with we couldnt have been more excited. I wanted to let everyone who reads this review to know that whoever is trying to stop this company from the horses rides in St. Petersburg is extremely wrong these people are rescuing these poor horses that are being mistreated and abused and giving them amazing homes thats AMAZING they really are INCREDIBLE for what they do! I rather keep this company going and do whatever it takes for them to keep helping them save horses rather then visiting a place (Seaworld) who captures those poor animals from their natural habitats to put them in a tank to make money thats WRONG! SAVE THE HORSES END SEAWORLD! Jennifer keep up the good work we will definitely be returning just to come and enjoy the AMAZING EXPERIENCE AND THOSE PRECIOUS HORSES!

First time doing this today , it was AMAZING! the trainers are very nice & knowledgeable ( chrissy & kerri ) they could see I was a little nervous so they gave me a horse that was very laid back ! definitely will be back next vacation!

The horses are wonderful. The guides are friendly and accommodating. The beach is short and narrow and not exclusive to horses. Its a public beach, adjacent to a busy road. People are fishing, beaching, swimming with dogs, and playing loud music, which takes away from the horse experience. Horses swim, riders/swimmers need to hold onto their tails. Not what I expected. I would have preferred Beach Riding to be more exclusive on a private beach. But this is a makeshift operation, horses are trailered in for the afternoon ride, saddles are waterproof, then taken off to go into the water. Too many things going on in the water. Boating, jet skiing, swimmers, dogs, kayaks and horses need to walk and swim around. What could possibly go wrong? Horses are not bridled, only reined with a Spanish style halter rope halter. Very expensive for an hour ride. You dont have to go into the water, but riding on a narrow beach along a busy road is not the beach riding I expected. Its a stressful environment. Not the best location for beach riding.

This was an awesome experience. The hosts were very cool and patient. And very informative not just about the ride but for other things going on in and out of the water. The horses knew exactly what they were doing and were very lovable. They like to lay their heads on you when theyre tired. Lol. We will definately do this again

Horse skiing was really fun. Got some great pictures on a horse by the water. Being in the water with the horses was really nice. My guide was really sweet. For the money I wish I got more time with the horse in the water. Overall a really great experience.

This was a really cool experience, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed riding Hoss and Alibi. Best part of our trip. Well worth the money in my opinion. I also love the fact that most of the horses are rescued. Im glad my money went to a business who rescues horses for their program.

I really enjoyed this but I was a little bit disappointed. The riding at the beach is almost non existent. You ride in one direction and back and thats it. They let me trot and canter for a short strech since Im not a beginner. But they wouldnt let you go for long since the whole group had to wait. I think they should let you ride longer at the beach. But i see that this is an issue since every horse and rider gets a person who leads the horse. You cant really do anything on your own.The riding in the water is pretty cool and that was an awesome experience. But then again most of the swimming was actual walking for the horse and only a short strech they would let the horse swim.All in all it is very expensive for what you get. I really enjoyed it and Im glad I did it but Im not sure if its worth the money. I wont repeat it for sure. They also didnt give you the full hour....

Its definitely worth the money. The beginning on the land is a bit slow, but once you get into the water it turns awesome. You get to stand on the horses back. Its a solid 11/10. You have a personal guide with you the whole time--one guide per rider. The horse skiing is surprisingly fun. My adolescent companion & I loved this experience.
