Lived in this area off and on for over 10 years and never knew about this gem. There is a small shop with bait, tackle, snacks, boat rentals and they do river tours. Four small one room cabins you can w rent on the weekend. Plenty of fishing spots. Will definitely be back.

A group of 6 of us took the eco boat tour, sunset cruise. We had an absolutely amazing time! We were the only ones on the boat so we were able to have Captain Denise all to ourselves. I never thought I could learn so much information in 2 hours! Fantastic time, well worth every penny. You can also treat yourself to an adult beverage of sorts and/or Big Olafs ice cream! Dont hesitate, take my word for it.

Jiggs Landing is located on Ward Lake Reservoir in Bradenton. It has some very small, old style Florida fishing cabins, a tiny playground, boardwalk, boat rentals, and picnic areas. They do offer a boat trip, but really not a lot to see and not worth the price. Fishing is the main activity here and its a good spot for a picnic.

Very serene. Boat ramp and also floating docks that allow kayak launches but its a distance to carry the kayak.

Cute little bungalows and a fishing dock. Weve seen lots of warblers here in the trees along the boardwalk.

We had a good time kayaking at Jiggs Landing. We brought our own kayaks.

This place is beautiful! There is a little shop that sells little souvenirs. They serve ice cream, beer on tap, hard seltzer’s and wine. They also have live music 4 days a week. Beautiful place to fish, dock, picnic and walk your furry companion!

Jiggs Landing is a great place for families, sport fishing or just hanging out and enjoying nature. The lake and grounds are well kept and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The cabins are clean, comfortable and well kept. I highly recommend spending time at Jiggs Landing.

I love going there but its a shame something cant be done about those buzzards they chew up your vehicle every single time you go up there dont think its right but I know its mother nature but theres got to be a way for you guys to stop them from chewing up peoples

1st time at Jiggs Landing. $51 for one night stay. And i do believe I got way more than what I bargained for. The cabins are clean, bath houses are private and clean. Mom and son get away fishing trip was a hit. Canoeing. Kayaking. Fishing. Bond fire at night for all 4 cabins to share. Smores were great. Grills by the pavilions were in the perfect spots. Going back real soon. Thanks Jiggs Landing for giving us the trip we needed.

Get back to nature right here. Cool little cabins facing the water with electric and AC. No kitchen. Not far to local restaurants, bars and grocery stores. Boat/ Kayak rentals available. Come by boat, awesome dock. Fishing a plus. Well maintained playground, fire pit area, pavilion, charcoal grills and walk ways to the restrooms and showers. Definitely be back.

Scenery is gorgeous, the people inside the guest center were friendly and knowledgeable.

Fun few hours fishing the pier and docks here. Another hidden gem. Small bank area for fishing, however perfect spot to rent and launch kayaks. Peaceful, relaxing, clean and beautiful views. Looking forward to getting out on the water next time.

It has a small kids area. Cute but but I wouldnt come here for anything other than kayaking, paddle board or other boat/ activities.

Very nice launch ramp. Rental kayaks better than most out there. Fair rates and good service. Near Linger Lodge an unusual and fun place for lunch.

What a hidden gem! I am very happy to have discovered this historic site, with boat ramp and cabins for rent!

This was a great place to go to get away from it all. I wish we had planned to stay longer. The front porch was the perfect place to sit and read a book and every cabin had a great view of the lake. The cabins were clean and well kept. I am ready to go back.

Really pretty park, nice place for a party! We’ve done a couple cook offs here - there’s electrical hookups by the big gazebo, the bathrooms are large and clean, there’s a playground for the kids, a nice boardwalk and a fire pit. The cabins are so cute!

Nice cazibos for small birthdays and cute cottages next to each other for family vacation s and the price is really reasonable.

We have stayed at Jiggs Landing 3 times. We absolutely love the view and the peaceful atmosphere. Very clean. Friendly service.

We love to go down to Jiggs at sunset. My daughter enjoys the playground and my husband and I enjoy the scenic views.

Rented a cabin for the weekend with hubby and 2 boys. The price not only for cabin rental but even in the shop/cafe was way lower than expected and anywhere else around. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating, accommodating, making sure guests are happy and comfortable. Beautiful quiet clean and family friendly! And even the bathrooms/showers were nice and clean!

This park has a great boat launch and a really cool kayak launch. Theres a small General Store here that sells drinks and even beer! The area leads into the Brandon River and you can slowly kayak up it and see lots of Wildlife. Theres a small playground for children picnic tables and it can make for a very nice day. There wasnt a lot of shaded parking but, theres plenty of room. The best part is the view of the lake which is very nice. There are bathrooms and other facilities here so make time to come out and spend a couple hours.

This area is so pretty! Beautiful boardwalk in a natural setting along the Braden River. Comfortable and cozy beach style cabin, complete with cool deco details. The outpost has food, music and even a bar, complete with friendly staff. We rented a kayak and decided to stay the night.However - the showers are not very inviting and not so clean. Hopefully they can update with a fresh coat of paint or shower curtain and keep them a bit cleaner. Wifi tv is a great set-up, but did not work after hours.Would recommend to anyone looking for a glamping experience in a nice environment, just bring along bed linens, towels and shower shoes and you have the whole package!

This is about a mile from our kids home. Its close, very quiet, and an enjoyable place to hang out and be with nature. Our kids love the kayak launch.

Little slice of paradise. Brought my kids by to play and get some treats everyone was extremely friendly and the kids had a blast. The playground is a bit small but its too be expected for a tucked in place like this.

Took the Sunset Cruise, loved everything Denise explained all about the birds and wildlife in the area. Even saw a couple of alligators.

Perfect quiet place for me to get away. My only criticism is that management should invest in luggage carts to make carrying items to the cabins easier. Im a young fit man but older people would find it challenging to carry luggage so far to the cabins

Loving what the new management is doing! All the cabins have been redone and each one has a different theme. Plus everything else,the office,bathrooms and grounds have been cleaned up and landscaped. And the BEST place ever if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city,but still close to everything!

Jiggs landing is a awesome place for the family. Weather it be a day at the park just observing the beautiful scenery. Or out on the lake boating. There are nice little cabins to rent and a concession stand that serves hot food as well.

Nice atmosphere, go-to skate spot. Lots of mosquitoes though.

I just walked the grounds and visited the shop. Very nice little out of the way place that looks like a great family time place. The cabins are small but clean looking. Everything looks clean. I will consider a $45 per night for a few nights

This is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life - a place to enjoy nature, the breeze of Lake Manatee; fishing at its finest; awesome sunsets, picnicking, camping - and just six miles out of town. The owners are fine people. They have a small cafe with home cooked stuff, a bait shop, clean bathrooms, pavilions, grills, cabins, a public boat ramp, docks, firepit. I cant say enough about how great Jiggs Landing is!

This is a beautiful spot for fishing and walking. I have only been once, but it was enough to know that this location deserves four stars. Although I did not catch any fish, I still had a great time. A gift shop is located on the premises near the parking lot. There is also much history behind this location as it was privately built and owned in the 1940s, but now is owned by the state of Florida. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice park to hang out at.

I love Jiggs Landing. Im not a boater but my adult daughter and her husband love to kayak period is a great place to put in your kayak plus two other boat ramps. A covered gazebo and a half a dozen or so small cottages for rent. The boardwalk is lengthy and picturesque. Just dont go with Dawn or dusk because the mosquitoes are awful.

I absouley love it here. We stayed here a couple of night on our trip to Florida and it was the perfect little spot. We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights before driving down to the keys. It was quiet and a safe Place! The people at the front desk are great theyre family and this place is locally owned - another huge plus and something I love to support. I would highly recommend staying here.

This park has improved a lot in the last year. It is a scenic park with water views over a large lake, childrens playground, walking paths, boats, fishing, ample parking. In the afternoon they have good live music, several beers and Truely. You can rent a cabin, pavilion, boat far a reasonable price. Very nice.

Looking for old Florida with a new twist? Here it is in our own backyard. Same beautiful scenery of the Braden river and surrounding wetlands. The original 1940s site has been updated and improved. New playground and pavilion. New fishing cabins for rental. Boat launch and rentals as before.New boardwalk over water. New educational exhibit including display of original cabin and history of original fish camp founders family. Bait shop and small grocery. Go for an hour visit or a weekend and leave with a renewed and peaceful frame of mind.

One of mine and my daughters fishing holes. They have a shack where you can buy drinks, snacks, and bait for fishing. They have a boat launch for boating, docks for fishing, and cabin rentals with air conditioning that look really nice. A lot of wildlife can be seen here. Its the first place I saw a live alligator after moving to Florida. Osprey nests in the trees. They also have bathrooms, drinking fountains, playground for kids, and a pavilion to sit and cook out.

I like fishing there.
