I lived in river lsles back in 2006. Do they still have the same building where you go to pick up your mail.

Residents are super unfriendly to outsiders. Spend your money on other courses

Great 9-hole executive length. Even though its just 1600 yds in length, it has plenty of challenges. Friendly staff and flow players

I have recorded +20 rounds at the River Isles 9 hole executive course (primarily because a relative lives within the community). I can say without a doubt, no other course has treated me more poorly or more of a second class citizen than this one. The locals play multiple balls, jump holes as it suits them forcing you to wait mid-round, all while hitting balls into you without apology (who hits into you on a par 3, Seriously!?!).My most recent experience prompted me to write this review. The course closed without warning, moments before I was to tee off because the male members banded together to keep all female members and non members off the course for their casual play (non-league). This is a sporadic, yet frequent occurrence.The course tends to be in good shape as locals typically play bump and run shots (aka the river isles special) into the greens. Rumor is the courses quality may regress as River Isles recently lost its greens keeper of many, many years.In summary, the price is right, but with all the options in the area, I would not recommend River Isles to anyone who is conflict adverse. If you come, come prepared to spar with the locals.
