NOT good. What is good? Well, the people are nice, and the place is clean. The bad:Due to an injury, I joined specifically to use machines to spare further injury -- my best choice was ellipticals. They have three, all the same. The interface to select a program had no instructions, and was not intuitive (which even the mfg admits).I asked for help from multiple staff, on multiple days. Only once did someone actually get out of their chair to try, and that was only because I asked her to please stand up and come help. She could not work the machine. No one who works there can, apparently. I have spoken to at least six different staff.I left my name, number, email on several occasions.I even spoke with a Program Mgr (Avrill, I think), and left my contact info. That was four days ago. Overall, I have been trying to get help for about three weeks. Not ONE call back, not ONE email, and not ONE person who works there EVEN KNOWS HOW TO USE THE MACHINES!Even if its cheap, its a waste of money.

Membership at the Y is worthwhile & affordable. The staff is incredibly friendly. The exercise space/facility is smaller compared to some other gyms, however, there is rarely a line or wait to use the equipment except at the busiest times. There are a variety of classes for all ability levels--my favorites are HIIT & Strength Train by Krista as well as Cycle & Strength by Cameron. Jenny, Brooke, Allie, & Lynn are also great instructors. Im sure the other instructors are great too, but these are just the classes that I usually attend. The Y also has a lot of other community programs/involvement beyond what the gym offers. I wish there was a pool, but otherwise, cant complain!

Great facility. Has day passes available for $10 - 24 hour access. Showers are good. They have hair dryers and flat/curling irons as well. Great for dropping in or stopping through on your way to the national parks. I went on a Friday afternoon and it was very empty.

Great gym in the area. Friendly staff, and organized workout area. There are showers in the locker rooms and free lockers to keep things safe. Third is a family friendly gym that does provide daycare for little ones.

I love the facility and especially wanted to note what amazing child care they offer. All of the child care workers are amazing with the kiddos but this review in particular is about Megan. I have a very spirited 2 yr old boy and one day he came in extra spirited. I told her we were having a tough day and her response was so perfect and caring. It was along the lines of her not putting so much pressure on these toddlers to be able to control all their emotions when many adults dont even know how to do that effectively. Working through emotions is tough and having a child care worker that shares the same philosophy as myself is so wonderful. I feel so comfortable leaving my son there. Now the only problem is, he sometimes doesnt want to leave!

We are so blessed to have the YMCA here in our community! The programs they make available, as well as the scholarships so no kid has to go without are outstanding! Ive had the pleasure of meeting some of the staff and their heart for the job they do as well as the organizations mission is so impressive. When we did end of year giving here for our business group, they made it a fun experience and took the time to show us where that money goes and the impact it makes. Well done YMCA staff!

Newer gym, decent monthly price. Lots of treadmills only 3 elliptical machines. Programs for kids which costs extra but I dont think any other gym in town offers this.

This place is a joke!Response from the owner14 hours agoElizabeth. We take the safety of our campers very seriously and work hard to provide an abundance of training to our staff. We provide care for over 3,000 children each year. We have protocols in place to ensure that all children are accounted for. We are happy to discuss your concerns if you would like, but can assure you that safety measures are in place to keep kids safe while enjoying an abundance of fun activities throughout the summer. If that is the case how did you leave 2 kids at the park alone!!! Why did the police have to be called because an individual found them walking alone?!?!? Why did the police have to call the parents of these children!?!?! You have no policy or procedure otherwise it would have been followed as you stated. This wasnt just a simple mistake. This was the endangerment of 2 children. That is neglect.** Unfortunately it does reflect on the entire establishment and leaves a bitter taste for any parent. I know Id never leave my children under your care. Its not worth the risk.

My husband and I joined up to get more active - it beats the bustle of the other busy gyms in the valley, and although it is a much smaller size, it seems as though the other members also appreciate gym courtesy as much as we do. The staff are friendly and helpful, the place is always clean, and the classes are included with membership. Definitely a great community driven spot.

They left/lost TWO kids during a camp today (06/26/2018). They were luckily helped out by an outstanding citizen, but will not be taking my child there. My childs life and well being is not worth the risk. Always choose safety and quality over price when looking for good childcare alternatives. **The GV YMCA has responded, stating that they have protocols in place to protect the children that they care for, however those obviously were not in place or being utilized to protect they children they had today. Im still unwilling to risk my childs safety for a picnic at the park.

This is seriously the biggest joke of an organization. I highly recommend that parents rethink before they sign up and pay for anything that the ymca has to offer. My daughter is in basketball. The refs have absolutely no idea what is going on they dont even know the calls or the rules of the game. The communication between the athletic director and the coaches is non exsistent. We volunteer our time to coach and they have the gyms locked when we are supposed to have practice with no emails text message nothing. The kids are seriously going to get hurt. Oh I forgot there is no out of bounds or stealing off the dribble. there is absolutely nothing good I can say about this organization. My biggest recommendation to parents is DO NOT USE THE YMCA. It is not just basketball we have been part of it is football also and even with that it was an absolutely joke.

Nice facility! It’s really small so once/if they get a lot of regular members it won’t be able to handle them. They have plenty of cardio but only one set of everything for lifting. The price for the membership is exactly what I’m willing to pay but it’s the same price as fuel fitness and they have a ton more machines/weights.I would give this place a 2 star rating for their hours. If you want to workout on Sunday you have to wait until 12. Which makes it fun because then you have to deal with everyone that’s coming out of church(which shares the parking lot with the Y).I would give the staff 5 stars because they are very nice and helpful and the facility is clean! The YMCA in Helena opens at 11 on Sunday and the YMCA in Missoula opens at 8. The YMCA in Bozeman needs to improve their hours!
