If you are looking for a secluded place to relax and unwind this place has it. Walking around this place there are many benches for you to sit and watch the boats go by and take a good view of the water way. Lots of trees with blooming flowers at least when I went. You can watch the boat dock or head on out to the ocean. There was a couple fishing from the deck and they actually caught something.Once again you want to relax and unwind this is the place. Also if you want to bring the kiddies there is a play ground for then to enjoy themselves.
I love the layout of the park and it is well kept by the city of Boynton Beach. I like to go a different sit to just relax in the evening, they have huge parking accommodations and on busy holidays you still can find parking. To launch your boat is a breeze as to the layout of the ramp. Overall this is a great place.Christopher Robinson
Would be a 5 star review if the city didnt change the annual launch fee from $50 to $350 and Institute mobile pay parking. Why cant us residents still get a reasonable annual decal ? Increase was way too much !!
A great spot to launch your boat! Run extremely well by the city of boynton beach. Your tax dollars working well.
Its a nice park, but in dire need of maintenance. Great fishing spot though.
I went kayaking with my family at Paddle away sports. They were nice, it the directions they gave us on where to paddle where a poor and could have e been delivered better. Overall, great price for the two hours and would do it again.
We were on the small side the playground was not crowded boat ramp access part was very nice area
Nice place. Bathrooms on site. Boat ramps. Park. Hectic on weekends, plus $10 fee. Boat channel gets very shallow during low tide. You can launch here and cross the intracoastal directly to the Boynton inlet to go out into the ocean.
If you just want to relax and listen to the ocean this is the perfect place so beautiful so calming.
Lovely view of the ocean. Clean restroom walking trail.
Nice place to get out and stretch your legs if youre traveling. Walking path near canal type water. Small playground for kids to release energy and outside work out space near playground area. Great for a bag lunch picnic. Bathrooms available. Saw a guy fishing for crabs of dock. Possible alligators in the water so no swimming!
The place is very nice, but the personal thing that you need is it should be paid.
This park is named for Harvey Eugene Oyer Jr. (March 31, 1926 - December 18, 2010). He was a businessman, civic leader, and Mayor of Boynton Beach in 1960 at the age of 34. He was known as Mr. Boynton Beach. He was directly related to area pioneers. He was the great grandson Captain Hannibal Dillingham Pierce, one of the settlers who salvaged the coconuts from the Spanish ship wreck in 1878 and when planted gave Palm Beach its name and he was the grandson of Lillie Pierce Voss, the first white child born in Florida between Jupiter and Miami. His son is a childrens author who has written books about the adventures of his fathers great uncle Charlie Pierce. Boyntons oldest insurance business bears his name in the historic downtown. In honor of Oyers military and civic accomplishment the park was named for him in 2011.This park is perfect for you are into boating and fishing. The Harvey E. Oyer Jr. Park has 4 boat ramps on the Intracoastal Waterway, across from the Boynton Beach Inlet. The park also has a Coast Guard Auxiliary building, picnic area, playground, restrooms, and a large fishing pier with several decks. There is free parking for vehicles and trailers. The park is also home to the Florida Fishing Academy formed in 2006 as a non profit after school program created by a Captain Rich Brochu, a former police officer to get at risk youth out onto the water and fishing. He teaches life skills to students, encourages them to volunteer, and rewards them with a fishing trip.I enjoyed walking along the fishing piers and taking in the water view. This park can be enjoyed even if you arent fishing or boating.
Lots of parking and easy access to boat ramps
It is a well maintained boat ramp with multiple ramps and plenty of parking
FREE parking! Access to intracoastal and ocean but beware the sandbars heading out from the dock.
Great alternative for launching SUPs or kayaks when the Boynton inlet parking lot is full.
6 ramps very close to inlet. Beware on a out going tide with east, south east wind can produce dangerous waves, swell.
Ramp is decent. Main issue is almost 100% of the boaters leave their boats sitting in the ramp both when they launch and when they are pulling out. It definitely gets to the few of us that actually understand ramp etiquette. Its real simple...first trailer in the ramp equals first boat in or out.
Has everything for all ages. Kiddy park w/sliding etc., picnic w/barbeque grills, fishing pier and boat launching rampNOT CONGESTED. Free parking for vehicles without boat trailer.
Theres an injured manatee, it has a large propeller gouge on its left side. other than that the park is good joyable but that topped it off to see an injured Manatee at one of my favorite spots of enjoying nature and fishing.
I need to try this at night since they have light there
Has a boat ramp. More for boat loading and unloading but they have a little kids park and cool walkway and seating area
I have used this launch site for 20 plus years. The city of Boynton Beach decided to get greedy. Yearly pass went from $50 to $200. Bye!!!!!!
Excellent location directly across from the Boynton Inlet. $10 daily parking or get a sticker for $50 for the year. Ramps arent horrible but low tide you would be better off with a 4X4. Theres parking for vehicles without trailers also.Weekends can be difficult. But then again which ramp on the weekend isnt?
Nice place, and would do more exploration around the park and surrounding area.
Easy access of boat ramps and parking
Great ramps, plenty of parking and a playground. Does the job for me.
Nice area many people fishing
Very fun and not very people take advantage of their tax dollars at work
Couldnt get the boat out of the water fast enough
I love this place..peaceful and never a dull moment...bathroom wasnt to pleasant.
Very nice place to lunch any size boat, plenty of parking, directly across from the ocean inlet.
Love going here during the week during the day because its not crowded quiet nice getaway spot by the water bathrooms are clean playground side is safe and clean
Great park with Free parking
Great boat ramps and facilities. This is the home of the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 54 this unit gives the greatest safe boating course. When theres a problem at the park that needs to be fixed they have right on it!!
Great place to kayak!
This park is clean and secure! I absolutely love taking my son here after work or during the weekends. Oftentimes I have seen parents hold their child birthday party here. No unsavory people so far that I have seen will continue coming back here.
A beautiful place to go boating.
Nice boat ramps with easy access to the inlet
It is lovely
Ramps are mellow, has plenty of parking, easy access to inlet and great offshore fishing
Lots of trailer parking. Good size boat ramps.
Nice boat ramps, but gets way too crowded.
Love this place. Scenery is beautiful.
Nice place
Definitely beautiful nice clean safety.
Great place to go. fishing ok. nice park
Great place been coming here since a kid
Small but fun park. Right on the intracoastal.
Best dog park around
Nice place to go fishing
It is great if you need boat ramp. Not a park for young kids, there is an small playground area. Some decent fishing off the pier areas.
This is a boat park accessible to the west Boynton anglers(fishermen/women) via the Inercoastal waterways. Park for kids also available.
I go down and read the paper and have an iced coffee..lots of boat action!
A good size park on the intercoastal. Boat ramps and plenty of parking available for cars and trailers. Outdoor playground and picnic opportunities are also there. Could use some cleaning up. Great views over the water!
Easy access to sea
Beautiful
Its beautiful. Great time of the year.
Glad to see the fishing docks have been repaired and again open for fishing, guess no one told the fish cause we could only catch bait fish even at incoming, slack and outgoing tides. Not even a baricuda! Maybe its better at night. Lol
Cool park.
This was my first time checking it out. I went early in the morning for some quiet time and the gentleman at the gate, a veteran, was so helpful and sweet. It was peaceful and fulfilling there.
Cute park. We use the boat ramps.
The boat ramps gets busy I fish on the opposite side facing the intercoastal but I have caught nice fish there to eat and watch my grandkids play in the small playground and they do have a restroom there
Nice and quiet.
Very busy on the weekends
Nice place to relax
Quiett clean and relaxing
Great boat ramp, only thing it needs is a fresh water outlet.
Launch my boat here every weekend!
Voted!
Great park, nice boat ramp.
Right by the inlet. Bathroom and playground present. Parking is dominated by boat trailers as this isnt a beach park, its a boat launch.
It is an ok park... people definitely need to pick up their garbage though because It is littered pretty bad. It does have shade & a boat ramp for the intercoastal. Plenty of parking & play equipment for kids. It does have a restroom on site but I havent been in there.
Good boat ramp as long as you dont run aground
Beautiful!!
Because for 30 years I have been less than 2 miles from the ramps... Which are right across from the inlet....
Excellent access, nice ramp and workers who were on site were friendly.
Great secluded place to fish and to boat peaceful!!
Always.stop by for the sunset and of course the playground and picnic area. The re done docks are aweso too
Excellent to see the boats and enjoy a good afternoon with friends
