Enjoyed the store.. clean environment.... Some shelves were empty, Id phone presume due to covid-19..

Michaels has everything that an artist or maker needs,I used to get my supplies from A C Moore in Bowie and since that store closed I have been shopping at Michaels and am happy to find my supplies at a reasonable price here.The pictures are scribbles of fellow makers who were testing the colorful markers on the black shelves!!

Store was very difficult to navigate and many aisles were filled with unopened boxes. I asked two associates for help. The 1st one said Make it quick, Im off the clock. The 2nd person who I approached was clueless. I was only looking for paper stock and some rubber stamps! Store was cluttered in some areas and empty peg hooks in other areas. Their only saving grace was the cashier was very polite. No reason to return. A very dissapointing visit!

My daughter and I walked in Michaels looking for fabric. A young lady asked us do we need help. I said we are looking for fabric..She abruptly said we dont have fabric here in a very condescending tone.. As if we should of know that... I left but it just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Upon arrival, we were stopped at the door in the cold and was told the line to check out circled the store so no one could go in even though they had not exceeded the occupancy limit and we watched as 15-20 exited the store. Approx. 20 mins later we were allowed in. It took me only 10 mins to find an item because the shelves were close to empty and other holiday areas were very sparse. When I got in line, it still circled the store. While there were several employees in the store, there were only TWO registers open. We stood in line for 45+ mins to check out. Lastly, there were probably 20-25 people in line with me to enter the store. Once we got in, NO ONE was controlling the number of people entering the store; so, why did we have to wait?. It was the worse experience. I will NOT return to that location!!

Went into Michael’s looking for bees wax, fine glitter & pigment for my daughter. She’s doing a final project for her summer program. So, I noticed that we were being followed throughout the store by the same two people, one black with a mcm bag & the other was Asian. I pointed it out to my daughter stating its stereotypical that they both believed we had to be watched. As we too are black. I.told my daughter on second thought we’re leaving & will not patronize this store again.

I love this store! It seems to be always stocked and clean! The layout is pretty easy to navigate for most items and the staff is always happy to assist. The only downside is I think they’ve been a little understaffed since the beginning of the year (and I’m sure COVID hasn’t helped) so the lines are always to the back of the store. However, even with 2 Cashier’s they are able to move the line pretty quickly and are always friendly!

I ordered items online for pick-up at Michaels in Bowie, MD. When I arrived the place was hopping with business. I actually didnt even realize that it was Black Friday! LOL!! The employees were working very hard to keep up with all the in-store customers in addition to the 300+ online orders! An overwhelming task by anyones measure. Unfortunately they werent able to locate my order. Tierra suggested that I cancel my order for a refund and she would continue to look for my order and call me. I did not expect that she would find it, and that would have been okay. What I appreciated was how hard they were all working to try to take care of everyone. Ended up that Tierra did find my order and called me as she promised. She also provided me with a discount for my patience which was no trouble at all.Thank you, Tierra, for your and your teams great customer service!Happy Holidays!Chris T.

I think they r overpriced in doing picture frame for you. The store seem junkie and miss up, not the same.

Its clean and bright and well organized, but the one person working the floor was completely disinterested in whether we found everything OK or answering our questions. The checkout went fast though.

Slow check out! Sloth slow. Service on the floor is fabulous. Everytime Ive been there the young lady treated mt like I was the only person there and walked me to what I needed and made sure I found everything.

I was looking for a Fall floral arrangement and found exactly what I wanted in very short time, plus it was on sale!

The framing gal was so helpful and easy to work with!

Spend your money elsewhere the framing department does not know what they are doing. Spoke with Kim and D’aisha about framing art pieces that were supposed to be a birthday present they did not order the stretch bar for the pieces did not catch their mistake until I called and inquired about the piece being ready a day before the promised delivery date. They have since supposedly ordered the piece and have provided no phone call or update on the piece being close to compete only indicating that the manager would try to get to it at some point. Do not waste your time or money. The nightmare continues it is now October 20th and I have not received my work promised on October 3rd if you need your artwork backn within a year this is not the store for you.

Pretty much done with Michaels. Poor customer service. Long lines with few check out cashiers. Overall, the cumulative experience is exhausting. The customer is not valued.....

Hard to navigate with large ladders opened and left unattended throughout the store. Yarn selection was fairly small.

I frequent this location and most of the time the line is long. They recently closed the other arts and crafts store so I think theyve been getting all their traffic. I also find it hard to locate most items. It seems like theyre frequently out of things. Their customer service is amazing though. I love the workers!

Store is nice. But the flower section is low in stock.

Need some cake tins. I giving some West Indian fruit cakes this year and Michaels had just what I needed.

I love this store but I always get frustrated when I go. The sale items are rarely in stock and it is often difficult to go from isle to isle because of carts that is filled with stock items or there is a large ladder blocking from getting from isle to isle. I was in the store for 45 min in which 25 min I stood in a very long line with one cashier. This seems to be a continuous problem for this store

Found most of what I was looking for. The store seems to have limited stock on high demand items such as Cricut supplies.

Its a typical Michaels. Pretty much the go-to place for crafty thungs since AC Moore closed nearby. Only detail I can add is that I often have a hard time finding the correct price tab that goes with the item I need. And NEVER pay full price - they ALWAYS have coupons on their App!

Found exactly what I was looking for!

Great sales and items to choose. Found things I needed and great prices along with coupons were honored. I would recommend my colleagues to shop at Michaels, found great ideas to decorate as well.

This Michaels needs some TLC and a wider variety of merch in my opinion. Their floral dept is lacking and they dont have fabric

There are usually sales or coupons which is nice. If I forget a coupon, the clerk can usually get one for me. This visit was the day of New Years Eve and the check out line was extremely long, so I left without getting anything, though normally the line moves fast.

Layout was much different than other stores in the area I have been too and it was a bit harder to find going out of season items, but my overall experience went well

Wow! Looked more like a going out of business sale, but we found everything we needed! Even had custom framing done and was promised and ready even with Christmas rush! Great, flawless framing, priced right! We will do again!

Michaels has everything an artistic individual could need. No matter which location I patronize I find all of their locations stocked. I will be a life long customer.

Michaels is a Arts and Crafts store with a variety of stock..if you are a hobbiest..this is your place to go.. unfortunately Michaels does not have a wide variety of Coloring Books.. I also love Crocheting.. huge stock of yarn.. Michaels does accept competitors coupons....

They need more sales associates! They need at least one employee who was familiar with the online ordering process. Young lady manager on duty was very nice, very professional, and very polite!

People are helpful and friendly. I usually find everything I need.

I usually get my art framed here, but they now have a very limited selection of frames to choose from, most are very similar. Fine if you want a modern or traditional style, but the wood frames that they used to have that had more choices in design are gone. The rest of the store is fine for other craft type stuff and a good place to shop for Halloween an d other holiday decor, but so disappointed in the limited framing options that I doubt I will go back any time soon.

This Michael’s does not have a fabric section and the employees are a bit short - I came to this branch as soon as it opened and I was greeted with “what you need? Fabric? We don’t carry fabric” I didn’t even get a chance to step in the store.

This is a regular Michaels. Im giving it three stars solely based on the yarn selection. If you dont care about yarn (wool), then I think itll be great for you.

Looks like early Sunday a.m. is when you get the best service. Thanks for a much better experience than my most recent visits.

They had a salesperson doing a speed checkout before you got to the main cashier. It moved the Line very quickly!!

Well organize and neat you can find items to help sharpen your gifts and talents. Also you can buy crafts items from Michaels Even take it to another level you can teach a class on YouTube tutorials. I am always learning Thanks Michaels for your support

Great store for crafts, little low on supplies around the holidays and the lines... by God the lines are horrible. Thats why they are getting 3 stars. Be ready to await 20+ mins to get rung up.

Line was very very long, no real social distancing measures outside of floor stickers.

The staff was very helpful. I needed an item and the staff person searched through the stock until they found what I needed.

Custom shirts, TONS of flowers, jewelry, books, vases, mardi gras items, yarn, pre -made wooden structures, paint, wreaths, holiday items, straw baskets, model cars, etc. This is the utopia of crafts!

Store was rather untidy. Shelves were not well maintained. Some aisles reminded me of cheap dollar stores. Might have had some good prices but I wasnt on a treasure hunt.

Sales great. The one cashier was slow. There were no others.

The young lady I worked with at the cash register was very helpful. On my prior visit I was pleased as well. I would definitely go back and I would recommend this location.

This place was TOTALLY disorganized. Stock was out of order in almost every single isle, making it really hard to find things and figure out how much an item was; you really need to know exactly what you need before you get in there. The public bathrooms were horrible and looked like they haven’t been cleaned in months. Some employees were nice, but others were rude and just didn’t appear to have the time of day to help.

Very cool place. No matter what your arts and crafts might be. You can find anything you need here.

I love this place. You always find what you are looking for and even more. They always have a coupon or sale going on. My order was supposed to be around $19. And with the coupon and discounts they had it all came out to $9.32. I was surprised. I will recommend this Michaels store.

Always well stocked. Can find most anything you are looking for. Always a pleasant experience.

This Michaels would be absolutely lovely if they didnt have a stocking problem. Half of their shelves feel like theyre empty all the time.When I asked an employee about items that were missing, she kindly reminded me that I could buy them at Walmart (she was right, Walmart had the item I needed in stock).

Prices are higher than the AC moore that left the area. But the store is stocked well with most crafts that people like to do.

Visits here are typically fun. Its sometimes hard to find that one item youre looking for, but if you ask their staff, theyre usually super helpful. Their variety and selection had changed over the years, and they often have a huge selection of seasonal items. The prices are hit and miss, but you can typically score a sweet sale too. There is the occasional long checkout experience, but it depends on when you go.

The store is reasonably laid out and they have a lot of stock across many crafting areas but staff is often less than helpful and never really particularly friendly. I understand it might not be a fun job but even a small amount of courteous goes a long way. They probably have better stock than AC Moore across town but it might be slightly smaller store.

Not a touch on ACMoore that we lost. Store quite messy.. Wanted enamel paints. e.g. Someone emptied a jar across the shelf and all still sticky. Nobody cared. Check out miserable. Not a glimmer, no humor. Insisted on scanning every jar covered in wet paint even though obviously the same without a word. Store seemed shabby. Permanent signs up high not straight. Stock intermittent and uncared for on the shelves. With the loss of the other craft store in town I had hoped Michaels would step up but instead much poorer experience than the closing store! ..and since I was last there, admittedly a while ago. Cmon Michaels!!

My daughter and I love Michaels. We enjoy looking at all of the arts and crafts supplies, and think about what projects we can try. This location is ok, but the line is almost always long, so I tried online ordering with pickup. Big mistake! time I had to wait so long the be helped at order pickup hat it would have taken less time to find everything in the store and then wait in line! Ill be back, but probably wont bother with online pickup unless theres a really good coupon for it.

I frequent Michaels in Virginia often. Im NEVER EVER GOING BAXK TO THE BOWIE MD STORE. EXTREMELY LONG CHECK OUT. Only two cashiers & the store didnt have a lot of the supplies that Virginia offer.

Michaels typically has everything craft related that I might need. Whats even better is that I signed up for their rewards program and I receive coupons via email!

It helps 2 shop here often to become familiar with the stores layout. There is a need for aisle signage so u can quickly navigate the store & not waste time. The clearance section isnt visible upon entry & I had 2 ask 4 assistance 2 locate it. I havent been impressed with the level of customer service.

Some employees are super wonderful & others need to be retrained !!! Really like the stores !!!
