I procrastinated getting my board tuned up before my first appointment to ride on the mountain tomorrow morning since fracturing my back... NICK got me taken care of while I waited there, even pushing his lunch back to take care of me since I would be unable to pick it up later that day. This is a great shop. The guy that built up my new board offered to drop it by my apartment when it was finished. The are also apparently working with the county to develop the unused space at the valmont bike park as a place to skate. Thats proper stewardship.

Had my board tuned here. Ethan walked me through my options and was very real in what my board needed. Never felt like he was trying to sell me something I didnt need. Picked it up and it looks great. One of the other guys helped get my bindings set up properly and even answered several questions on future upgrades. All from personal experience and industry knowledge. This is the best board shop close to Denver and I will only go here. Ride local buy local.

Brought my board in today to Satellite for a core shot and get my edges tuned. Everyone at the shop was very friendly and took my board in to fix it up. They did an excellent job and everything was done to perfection. Satellite is the best boardshop in boulder and recommend going here to get all your dings fixed up or get a fresh hot wax for those slow days!!!

Boulder is full of “sports” stores and large ski and board shops. There is not one that provides the level of expertise, personal service and, choice that Satelite does. The service you get from Raul, Ethan or one of the other employees is always top notch and far and above better than any other store that sells snowboarding and skateboarding gear.

I dont ever write reviews, but my board rides so much better after a wax and tune by these guys that I have to rave. Also made some suggestions on setup that really helped. I went in asking for a more expensive tune and they talked me into the cheaper option since I really didnt need it. Best experience Ive had in 15 years in Boulder.

Stopped by to get my snowboard checked out. I had cracks in the top sheet and the back of my bindings was almost falling off. They fixed up my bindings and took a close look at the cracks (just superficial). They didnt ask for a penny. Cool shop and super friendly, Ill be back when its time to upgrade.

Was recommended by my kids friend to this place and was hopeful I could buy a bunch of gear because my kid lives in Boulder. I literally called from out of state and said Id like to buy a full compliment of a board, binding, boots and was told Id have to come down to the shop. I reiterated that I was calling from out of state and wanted to buy this for my kid who lives in Boulder and just wanted to give them my credit card to buy it all and then have my kid come down and pick the products. Would have been the easiest sale ever but the guy was not interested in helping and was kind of rude about it. Little work, take my credit card, my kid comes in and you complete the transaction but it was clearly too much work. Weirdest phone call in a long time.. Cant explain turning down easy money but at least I tried and you cant force someone to take your business.

Had a broken binding under warranty took it in to get fixed. Raul and the guys at Satellite went above and beyond in contacting the company and fixing and replacing my broken binding. By far the best snowboard and skate shop in Boulder... I was just about to go into a long rant about snowboard tune ups and bindings - then I was temporarily distracted by some guy name Joes long rant on a bizarre credit card sale rant... And Ive got to say ( after a long laborious career in retail) - no shop would or should ever take a card number like that over the phone. Its completely illegal and sounds like a major scam for some CU kid to call with a credit card and get a free set up.Moving on.. Back to my bindings. I recently took in my board for a wax and tune up to the dudes at Satellite, and Raul, one of the owners was cool enough to look at my stance after we started talking about our mutual knee and ankle issues. Getting old and still shredding is tough on the body. Raul suggested that after years of riding a really wide duck stance, I should narrow it significantly to reduce the pressure off my outer knees, and also centered my bindings better to make riding over all easier. Ive got to say, after riding a bunch of days last week, I was feeling pretty good, and not noticing that same old pain.Thats what comes from years of experience and coaching- and buying our products from a shop whose owners actually ride. Thats the difference between just buying stuff online without trying it and having it set up properly. Support your local shop and go in and say hi. They want to keep people snowboarding in Colorado and are working hard to do so. They always have really cute ladies gear and a large selection of boots and bindings !Oh, and that dude Aaron with the crazy looking beard is usually pretty nice too, and I hear he gives good hugs? I have always had a great time going here. My brother and I both get our snowboards tuned here, and they always do a great job. The price of a tune up is very fair as well. All of the staff seems to be very knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. If you need help deciding on skateboard or snowboard equipment, this is a great place to go.

Locals hook up on all things skate and snow board. Owner is chill and super helpful. Been sk8in for 28 years (seriously? Im old!) and only ride their shop decks (which are typically local graphics, solid as all h..eck (I slam the boards on the deck HARD and I aint exactly thin no moar), and typically last last longer than pro decks). Plus they are all down for the community. More like SatelTIGHT, amiright? And the owner showed me how to change my stance on snow after 10+ years, and...it helped. Whod thunk.

Best boardshop in Boulder, hands down. Period. Full stop. The staff are all very gregarious and knowledgeable, the gentleman who helped me was patient and extremely attentive to my needs. As an experienced snowboarder I had a very precise picture of the kind of new setup I wanted, and the Satellite staff were more than ready to help me find exactly what I was looking for. They did not try to cajole me into buying anything on the spot, and actually suggested that I held off on purchasing bindings until I could bring my boots and make sure we found a good fit. They have many useful perks that comes with buying equipment from them (discount for next seasons gear, free tune, great warranty, etc) as well as a handy layaway option (pay for at least 20% of the board and they will hold it for you for a decently long amount of time). I would highly recommend this shop to anyone, from seasoned shredders to total tyros. Satellite will take care of you!!
