This auditorium is beautiful! I have been here for several concerts and my experiences are always great. Surrounded by CU campus and beautiful night walks, easy to find parking lot next to the auditorium but in case you cant come prepare to walk since it is a very hilly area but very beautiful. They do every Christmas season a holiday concert that you shouldnt let pass.

Big, beautiful auditorium. Lots of seating. The yellow to tinted windows make this feel like an old library.

The Auditorium itself was very nice, and we went there for my daughters graduation. However, there are a few items of note that kill the vibe so to speak...The stairs are downright scary; almost feels vertical, and at numerous times I felt as if I would trip and fall down, baby in hand! The speaker system as well could use some fine tuning, and be a bit louder and clearer. For the most part though, a nice place to hold a big event!

Saw Anderson and Roe tonight at the Macky. What an awesome show. Packed house too. The pianos sounded perfect!!! What a duo. The conductor played the 3 piano very well also for the songs of Mozart that required 3 pianos. Loved that they played my absolute favorite classic song of Dance Macabre!!!

Came to see a family member in TEDx - they did a great job using this great venue! Seats arent very comfortable, so be prepared for a sore back. But we hasld great views from the front row of the balcony. Lots of womens restrooms, which is always great. And parking was a breeze! We even had a email out on the lawn out front at intermission. Cant wait to come back!

Still the BEST SOUND System EVER. I have performed at the annual Christmas concert here at CU many years ago and was thrilled to be able to see my cousins daughters dance recital at Macky recently. Macky continues to be an incredible venue for such events. The space was used very effectively and the sound system is just as good as it was 30 years ago, if not better. The staging area was perfect for the recital and lent an air of distinction to the whole event. What a lovely reason to be back on campus and in one of the most beloved buildings at that.

My niece had her graduation ceremony here. So much more enjoyable than the big arena. It was more intimate a setting, quieter, easier to access for those with handicaps. There was a beautiful area across the street to take photos with family after the ceremony which again is better than the cement walls in the arena. Make sure you leave time to find parking it can be quite full and take a bit of searching.

Not a huge fan of big crowds but we enjoyed the Nutcracker here. Parking was adequate if you werent running late. Macky was pretty easy to find. The seats we had (row k, 8-10) were excellent. Easy to see the stage and close enough for a visit to observe the orchestra before the show. Ladies restroom was on this side of the theater, which was convenient. Lines at restroom were long but went quickly. I was pleasantly surprised to see a baby changing table in the large stall on the far left, even though I had left my baby at home. Thank you Macky Auditorium!

Macky is a wonderful old concert hall with great acoustics. Because it is on campus, it is difficult to get to and parking is scarce to non-existent. It is a short walk to the Hop or Skip buses along Broadway and/or Colorado Blvd. One tip: There are more bathrooms in the basement.

I tried to order some seats for my family in the first floor via an order form, but we received seats in the second floor instead, though for the same price. The view in the 2nd floor was not good.During the show on 11/23/18, another family seating behind us kept on kicking on my seat back.It was very distractive and annoying. I wish the theater to set up a rule to protect audience against such an annoying activity. Kicking at seat backs of the front row should be prohibited.
