If youre a sculptures fan and youre in Boston, might as well go check this one one. Its in the Boston Common. Plenty of history all around. The Common provides a terrific picnic spot and peaceful environs to stroll through. The ideal time to visit would be Spring or Fall. Spring - To enjoy the sun without getting sun burnt. Fall - To enjoy the many colors of the leaves!

Beautiful place, it and the Boston Common and burying ground. I think I prefer our hatless Washington on horseback statue in Union Square New York City but a great statue nonetheless.

One of the interesting things to see at the Boston Public Gardens is the Equestrian Statue of George Washington seen facing the Arlington Street Entrance. This statue was created by local sculptor Thomas Ball and unveiled to the public in 1869. It is an equestrian figure of the American first president in military attire, placed upon a pedestal. It is a nice image of Washington, fairly typical of 19th century statues of military and political leaders.Have a quick look before making your way to other interesting monument in the gardens such as the attractive Ether Fountain and the Making Your Way for the Ducks statues northeast of the garden lake.

Solid 5/5. Its a statue of George Washington. I once saw someone filming a conspiracy video in front of it and acting like George was on their side. I guess I didnt hear George deny any of it so maybe he was in on it. I dunno. Ill give him a free pass for now.Anyway, its part of the public gardens. So give the whole place a visit.

The George Washington statue is perched up on a tall stone stand which makes for good picture ops. The statue itself is pretty detailed. You won’t spend more than a couple of minutes here, but it’s definitely worth a small detour if your just exploring Boston Public Garden.

This statue is a very honorable symbol of our most patriotic President for our country to ever have; he is the original trailblazer for all of us here! Thank you to the founding fathers of our country! In God We Trust. Side note: Come here with a nice camera, not just your phone camera, so you can zoom in on his statue and get better close up pictures of him.

Got a big but on the horse and the GW is really serious on this horse. We could have elected others during 1776 to be the first p resident of USA or the colonies. pee resident. Forest Gump. Seems like historically we know only where the pee residents lived and cannot confirm or deny the housing of any others. They made this statue. Someone decided to cast a statue when in the 1800s. Did they make the statue there in the park or load it in a wagon strap on the horses and direct the horses down the street to the park to hoist up the statue. Also how did they make the mold for the statue? Is the mold made out of plaster?
