Your average bar in downtown Boston. The staff and people who work there are great. Food is solid. Nothing exquisite. Plenty of different alcohol choices.

My brother is the head of security and he set it up so that my niece received the red carpet treatment for her 21st birthday! Typical bar food was good, the bar tender took good care of us and the DJ played all the hits and took requests! Woulda gave yall 5 stars but our waitress, I think , was new and it showed.

This place gets crazy for sports events as well as weekends. 4 levels of bars and TVs, yet still gets shoulder to shoulder. Limited bathrooms means waiting in line, so order a drink on your way. Food was decent, but at a bit of a wait. Bar staff was great.

Did not live up to its name. Maybe an off day... but all of it .. was HORRIBLE ! Simple drink, vodka tonic with lime. Completely flat and slimy limes. Replacement one not much better. Waited 90 minutes for a salad and burger sliders. The sliders - burnt with a postage size piece of cheese. No pickle, onion, tomato, sauce, nothing! The rolls, hard as a rock. Fries - and entire meal - stone cold.Never even came back to check on us or refill our drinks. To her defense, it looked like they were really understaffed. Could have done better at the kiosks in the Garden.

Watched one of the Stanley Cup games here and loved the energy of the place. Bouncers were friendly and the bar was packed with Bruins jerseys. Great local sports bar right next to TD Garden. Didn’t try the food but my friends had the wings and seemed to like them. I recommend checking out a game here for a local Boston experience.

I have mixed reviews about this spot.Cons: Service was shockingly terrible, and I write that with 10 years of waitressing experience. We now live abroad and wanted to try some new beers as MA has a great beer scene, when we asked what beers there were she was clearly bored and annoyed and offered the usual Budlight, Corona and Heineken... What a missed opportunity to upsell. Then she flat out said, I really dont care. when we politely asked if she could put a hold our food order as our friends were late. Maybe it wasnt her night, maybe she was tired, but I really couldnt believe how she treated us. We are fun, laid back customers, this really put us off. Food was average with Boston pub prices, nothing incredible.Pros: Drinks came quickly and food was at least hot. There are plenty of screens and the environment is cool, with what seems like 3 floors to enjoy games and hanging with friends all together.Overall: Truly disappointed by the service, food was average but atmosphere is great.

The Greatest Bar doesnt really live up to its name. The three level sports bar offers a traditional selection of beers, which is geared towards sports fans (think Bed Light, Coors, Miller Light, Sam Adams, etc), and a basic bar menu with tons of fried apps, sandwiches and burgers. The food is fine for what it is - something to soak up a games worth of beer. During football season, it can get packed as it caters to several non New England teams, which is a plus in their favor. Saturdays fill with various college teams (check with your alumni chapters as they tend to move bars every few years), and Sundays fill with ardent NY Giants fans, and the upstairs is trying to get Broncos fans on board. They are good about offering specials during games for fans, and it is fun to have a place not filled with Pats fans. During busy times the service can be iffy, pending on how hungover your server is that day. Also, if you are on the top level, order mixed drinks or beer in a bottle, as they tend not to clean those lines that often and Ive had several skunked beers.

One of the cleanliest, and spacious bars youll find in Boston. My wife and I attended 2 World Cup matches at 10 am and the staff was super friendly and pleasant the entire time! The only down side was the food here. Im knocking it up to the fact I was ordering a hamburger at 10am on a Sunday, but man was it just a really really bad burger. Dry, tasteless, and unseasoned. That being said, Im still willing to make a return for the great experience, awesome drinks (just as expensive as everywhere else in Boston), and pleasant staff. If the food turns out any better, Ill be sure to update my review!

This estabishment used to hold a special place in my heart, but that has now changed. I am 25 years old and the bouncer had a hard time believing that (even through the grizzly beard might think other wise). So upon trying to re-enter the bar, the bouncer bent my identification enough to break its will to not have a crease. Now I have to go to the DMV because my ID is now invalid because of tiny at the door who “doesn’t know is own strength”. All good things must come to an end, just as my love for this “greatest” bar.

This place is always busy after events at the Garden. The cover charge is fair, they have four floors the first floor being your standard bar area, the second floor overlooks the first, the third is another bar/dance area and I believe the fourth is for special events. The prices are pretty decent for a bar, probably why its called the greatest. The staff is really cool, they are fast with their service and really nice. There are somedays were you cant hear yourself think and other days were you can have a great discussion with a friend. It really depends on the Garden, if there is an event you can expect it to be packed.

Beware of (one of?) the female bouncer that works here, be cautious because even if you are sober and not causing any issues, but trying to help a friend find their jacket and keys at the coat check (so they can go home), she will become belligerent towards you. This includes yelling, threatening, name-calling (n-bombs, b-bombs, etc), just highly unprofessional behavior. If you remain calm and explain to her the situation she will get worse so dont even try. If you go here, which I dont recommend, just steer clear of that mess.

This was my first experience st the greatest bar. It may have been me going at the right night but the music selection was great. The vibes were right, and everyone was enjoying themselves. I am a person who has a certain taste in music, hip hop, R&B, dancehall, afro-beats and so on. There are 2 floors where you order drinks on the first, and the second had extra seating. Me and my friends who went enjoyed our time, I am sure I would go back again.

Visiting Boston on July 4th, out for the night. This was it second bar after the first one was too crowded. The cover charge was $20. The bar has three floors. The second floor being a balcony, some appetizers. And the third another smaller VIP dance floor with flashing lights.the second floor is a VIP like balcony area that had some appetizers, fried Mac and cheese, egg rolls. Beef Wellington etc. Third floor was another small dance floor!Bartender upstairs became very rude when we left the third floor to use the bathroom and rejoin my friends on the third floor.

Review №86

Not the greatest bar. Bar tenders were unpleasant had to pay a cover charge at 110 and then was rushed out the door at 140 I asked the person who took my ten bucks if that would be the case before hand and they said no. And the bar on the second floor only has 1 bathroom so that was a 20 minute wait. There not really equipped to handle the large volume of people they get on a weekend and the staff seems to take out there frustration on the patrons.

This is Jackies Dad not Jackie...disclaimer. Went there many times over the years and everything was awesome. Each time though, less and less. Out last visit will be my last visit on 1/21 before celt and heat. Beer now in hard plastic cups...no frosted glasses. Ordered loaded nachos and Buffalo tenders for an app with a thin crust cheese pizza to split between my son and I. Loaded Nachos ? Bunch of chips with some cheese melted on top. About 3 black olives , half a jalopeno , no tomatoes or anything else for that matter. And once you ate the top chips ? Left with dry chips....The Tenders ? Not buffalo...small, heavily breaded with a tomato sauce / splash of franks...terrible....then the Pizza...thin crust means cheap to make. Thin crust, thin sauce, thin cheese....and god forbid I asked if there were any red pepper sprinkles for the pizza.....nope. Then the cap off was after a $105 tab was the fact that I was charged for a basket of Fries I never ordered. Which they had to do a recharge so I have to wait 2 days until it corrects or accept the charges ???I NEVER complain but this was just toooooo much and ruined our night. Used to be good but now just riding the name....run away...far far away. Wish I had tried Fours but was hoping they came back....nope.
