Being an active eater in downtown Boston Im pretty surprised I havent eaten here before now. I always walked by and assumed it was only an evening place. Not at all. Sat at the bar for lunch. Not only is the staff really super nice and inviting, but it gives you a pub vibe with some dim lighting great wooden bar. My type of vibe. Most importantly the menu has all your lunch favorites and the food is great. Their fries are fresh cut and the food is what you want it to be. Great burger. I havent been after 5 but its unique space with a basement vodka bar, is telling me I should check it out when I get the urge to have some fun. Definitely in the rotation now

Great spot to pop in for lunch, dinner, drinks, etc! During the day it was filled with people having lunch and enjoying each other’s company, which is always nice.The wings were delicious, the Mac and cheese was simple but tasty, and the short rib sandwich was a nice flavor. The tuna poke bowl was really delicious. Not the traditional poke bowl, but really filling yet light none the less.Drinks are definitely on the stronger side, and cocktails are $12.Service was great, attentive without being overwhelming.Overall, a good spot to stop in for a bite and some good company!

A friend took me here for my birthday lunch. I got the fish and chips (yummy), she got a veggie burger which she did not enjoy, but it was not the restaurants fault. It had a strong bean taste and shes not crazy about beans. She did enjoy the salad that came with her veggie burger. The service was quick (great since we were on our lunch break). It looks like a great place to go for after-work drinks.

Went there yesterday with a friend to celebrate my birthday. It was lit and very entertaining. Had so much fun. Afrobeats all night. Easy going crowd, they bought us drinks because it was my birthday️. Everyone was minding their own business and most importantly enjoying the music. I would definitely go back

Very poor service. We went to this establishment on 10 July 2019 around 4pm. We were the only people sitting at the bar. The first bartender quickly made us a drink, which was a watered down old fashioned. They then had shift change while we looked at the menu. Which we told the first bartender we wanted food and another drink soon. The oncoming bartender (female) never came over to introduce herself or check on us. She took her time to do something on the computer, then chatted with another employee for at least 10 minutes or longer, we could see her look over at us but never say anything. She then proceed to browse her phone, then went to the other side of the bar and chatted some more with that same coworker, laughing and being loud, all while we were ready to order food and another drink. However, we ended up leaving. The bar was nice and clean, but a very disrespectful bartender who just got on shift. I recommend walking another block to bars with better service.

Good lounge/club experience. Caution ladies with heels and steep steps to get to lower level, wear flats, its safer. Need more stalls for women in the bathroom, but thats usually the case everywhere. Drinks were inconsistently made but eventually we found a barter on the top floor where dj was setup that made them right.music was good, crowd was easy going.

Great after work bar. The Asian inspired apps are suprisingly high quality. It is unintentionally cliquey due to various companies taking over their own corners of the room.

Although the breakfast has only a few choices they are large, delicious, coffee was hott, and the bartender Erica was excellent. Five stars and they have breakfast to go!

Visited for an event... nice place. Expensive drinks downstairs.... compared to paying a different price upstairs for the same drink. It Was pretty upsetting But I had fun. The DJ was amazing. I wish I remembered his name.

Very cosy, great food. I went for lunch and got the Tuna Melt. The sandwich was probably the best one Ive ever had! It was big enough for the perfect lunch portion, and was only $14.

To begin with the food was SOOOO overpriced!! Chips and guac was $13 for chips that looked like were open from a chip bag and thrown on the plate. Luckily the guac was really good. We also had sliders and those were delicious. We stayed for the music and the DJ was good. The biggest turn off was how expensive it was

Friday/Saturday night for dope DJs. Lunch is underrated and worth a try.

My friend and I came here Saturday night (8/02/19) and it was fire (great). The cover was $10, but I left my ID and we had to go home to get it and come back. Instead of charging me $15 when we got back, the bouncer was reasonable and only charged us $10 because he remembered us. The place was a little empty (the main floor, the room to the side), but the DJ was on point. We actually liked that it was not crowded because it allowed us room to dance. The DJ kept coming with music after music, we couldnt stop dancing. That was the best night Ive ever had in Boston. She agrees also (she was visiting). She told me the drinks were not expensive, maybe $6 for henny mixed (and they dont skimp on the alcohol).

Very chill spot, they draw in a good crowd just trying to have a good time. The mystery drinks Ive tried were good for the price, and the cover is unbeatable in Boston.

I visited here with coworkers for drinks after work. The servers were attentive, the food and drink wasnt bad. They mixed a solid old fashioned. I followed that up with one of the drinks off their menu which was uninspiring. It might be a good idea to stick to the classics if you order cocktails here.

Nice place

Had the fish tacos and my wife ordered the nachos. Fish tacos were delicious, and there were so many nachos that event after I helped more than half the plate was left. Great drinks and friendly staff made this a night to remember.

At the door youre gonna think, Thats a dive bar. And youre not totally wrong. But the food is really good (honestly), staff are cool, cocktails and beer list are solid.

This is another one if my favorite spots. Great food and the best staff! I have never had to wait for service or a my food / drink. Really neat place with lots of cool stuff in the walls.

Solid showcase of music and people. Visited on Saturday 11/24 and the DJ was played some good 90s hip hop. Transitions could have been a bit more fluid. Good time.

Love the options of two floors, strong drinks downstairs are always a plus. Decent door charge and parking nearby.

Went with coworkers for after work drinks. I guess we picked the wrong night as the place (both floors) was crowded and noise level outrageous. Drinks were good, not great. Some of the food we had ordered didnt make it to us for some reason, which the server quickly resolved when we brought it up to her. The friendly staff helped prevent this review from being 2 stars.

Tuesday’s in the basement is game night. Nintendo 64, PlayStation, Wii, Magic The Gathering, Boardgames, + more.No cover, 18+ and 21+ to drinkFriday and Saturday are poppin’$20 cover. Usually a line. You can dress causal, sneakers and so on but who’s going to dance with you lookin’ like a normy.

AMAZING food during the evening, but the nightlife crowd isnt my thing.

Hands down one of the best places to hand out in Boston downtown.

Definitely not worth the cover charge. Drinks werent too bad, and definitely werent weak. The upstairs dance floor isnt too bad - good lighting, decent acoustics, crowded but never claustrophobic. Downstairs is pretty much the opposite - crowded, damp, lack of any real ventilation. Id avoid it, at least on the weekends.

Probably one of my favorite places to grab a beer downtown. The menu is better than most places nearby and priced reasonably, too. All the staff are friendly. Great place.

I go to Good Life pretty often since its close to my place. This is my go to place because of the great music and variety of parties. If youre a person that likes to dance and hate corny cliche top40 and hearing the same song 5 times like the radio then youll like this place. As many people have said it is laid back and unpretentious (for Boston). Anyways, always have a good time here.

Seems like a nice place I visited during work hours doing a business check.

Wandered in once while exploring Boston at night, and I was pleasantly surprised. Its deceptively large, with a distinct old-timey bar feeling. To the left of the entrance is another part that looks to be a small dancefloor. But most of the action is below, in the Vodka Lounge. On a normal weekend night, the ground floor is not very packed, so going down, you will not be ready for the number of people downstairs (Would have made a great speak easy back in the day). Servers are very attentive and polite, drinks are not too expensive for Boston, and overall, its a pretty great time, with different DJs playing different music in the different sections.

The music selection makes up for the narrow two floor space. Came here two weekends ago to see Softest Hard spin and she was great. The other DJs Ive seen here have been pretty good too but cant recall any names. Good spot if you want to get away from the basics DJs normally play. Should definitely get Softest Hard to come back!

Had such a great time last night. It wasnt too crowded. The drinks and the music was on point.

Cool spot, got caught up chatting with my homes, so no pics. But I had a kale salad with salmon that was extremely good. The kale had some sort of shredded carrot and almond and other spice concoction throughout that made me have shark eyes, bout peed myself. Drinks were good. Vibe was great until 1 am came around. Crowd got a little too wild. Two fights broke out while I was there with my friends. Some Staff was quick to defuse the situation. 1 male in particular, got too physical with one of the people in the fight and didnt show signs of stopping. A couple co-workers stepped in to make sure nothing escalated.I would return despite what I witnessed from an employee.

Very fun place to go dancing. Ive been hearing about Pico Picante for a while and Im glad I was able to go! Theres two different dance floors that play different genres and three separate bars so you dont have to wait too long! Every time Ive gone theres a cover.

Sexual harassment abound. Dance floor is fun but Dont plan to try to wait in line for the bathroom. Was here with a group of girls and The girls bathroom line gets really long. The bouncers use the stair way as a stress point to touch girls that are waiting as they state that it is blocking traffic. We were here almost an hour before all the girls felt uncomfortable so we left

I was having a great time, reminded me of college, until a bartender decided to be extremely rude after asking her a question, due to apparently giving no tip. Tips are not required, should be earned and to me it wasnt deserved. It does not give anyone the right to have to treat you disrespectfully. I questioned her attitude and all she did was laugh and say do you want to get kicked out. Thats exactly what happened after we just purchased our drinks. Never again attending!

Food is okay. Upstairs is nice but the basement feels like a cave/afterthought. Go here every week for game night. Bartender frequency disappears when people want to order.
