What a great experience to learn about history. They have definitely taken COVID-19 precautions and limit group sizes to about 5 people per group and really time manage the number of people in any certain area for you to feel safe. They have hand sanitizer all over for use. Staff are amazing and very knowledgeable about their specific time period to talk about. The best part was being able to throw some tea over the ships into the water.

I couldnt recommend this museum any more highly. My 3, 5 and 13 year old had so much fun and learned some really fun facts that they were excited to share with their class. Incredible place full of history. As with many places throughout Boston, I get chills standing in the same places our founding fathers once stood! This is yet another. Fun for singles, couples, friends or the whole family. Reenactments, food, drink, gift shop, and you can even throw tea into the harbor! Currently however, keep in mind, space is limited due to Covid19 and wait times are longer than usual Otherwise, this is a must see spot in your time in Boston!

Extremely interactive and really brings the whole experience to life! Of course we all have learned about the Boston Tea Party in school, but it’s so much more educational and fun getting to walk through it in person. All of the actors are very talented and did a wonderful job staying in character and including all of the guests in their stories. I would recommend this attraction to anyone of any age, but especially children for an alternative learning experience.Extra Bonus: They are doing a great job at staying Covid friendly!

At one point as my family was in the tea room we called down to an actor about if the boats were painted historically accurate. Being close to Boston is such a gift! It’s so cool that our kids get to learn about American History in schools and then experience it just walking around the city. Awesome museum and tour! They take you all the way through what happened before and during the Boston Tea Party in their interactive history lesson right at the beginning. Then you tour one of the historic ships (replica) with informed tour guides who are dressed in 1700s era costumes. You also get to throw your own tea crate into the Boston Harbor like a real Boston Tea Partier! There was also a surprise at the end of the tour that I will not ruin for those of you who make the pilgrimage to one of the most famous places that kicked off our Great American Revolution!

We pre-purchased tickets in a package in the morning and arrived around 2pm to be told that they werent selling any more tickets for the day and we wouldnt be able to enter even though we had already paid for our tickets. There were several other families there at the same time having the same problem. The company we bought the tickets through is supposed to issue a refund but that doesnt help the fact that we wasted over an hour dealing with this on our one day in Boston when we could have spent the time elsewhere. In my opinion you shouldnt sell tickets through 3rd parties if you arent able to manage the number of tickets sold and turn people away who have spent time and money to see the museum. Very disappointed in how this was handled.

The museum is interesting for adults who are interested in history or learn more about the events that made America independent. At the entrance visitors are given the name of the participant of the Boston tea party. You can actively express your emotions that were the participants of those events. And then go to the deck of the ship and leave the boxes of tea overboard the ship. Children who still do not understand anything in history are also interested in shouting with everyone and throwing over the box. All guides are dressed in historical costumes and represent specific historical figures. The museum uses modern, very realistic lighting effects that I have not seen in other museums. I advise you to feel involved in the events of the Boston tea party.

The Boston Tea Party Ship & Museum is a re-creation of the famous protest in a full scale replica of the ship, also museum exhibits. Come relive that historic night in the Boston Harbor on December 16th, 1773, when American Colonists took matters into their own hands to oppose British rule. Sense the emotion and determination of our forefathers who fought for our freedom and independence. An entirely new kind of museum, where you’ll not only view artifacts of historical importance, you’ll also have a highly interactive, multi-sensory experience. Visitors are also allowed to toss boxes of tea off the ship and into the harbor. Embark on incredible journey back in time as you take part in the famous event that forever changed the course of American History! Located on the Congress Street Bridge in Boston, Massachusetts, this floating Boston Museum is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. Live actors, high-tech, interactive exhibits, authentically restored tea ships and the stirring, multi-sensory documentary “Let it Begin Here,” are just a taste of what you’ll see, hear and feel. Meet the colonists, explore the ships and dump tea overboard just as the Sons of Liberty did on that fateful night of December 16, 1773. Stop in at Abigail’s Tea Room for teatime and visit the Gift Shop for special souvenirs. It’s educational, entertaining and enlightening — an experience not to be missed by adults and children of all ages.

I went to the museum about a year ago on a family vacation. I was really excited to go and enjoyed my time. I appreciated the actors and their dedication to not only educating the visitors but entertaining them. It was interactive and informative. The only thing that stopped them from getting 5 stars is the fact they did not allow all of us to throw tea in the harbour. It may seem minute to some but when you are going to the Boston Tea Party Museum, you expect to throw tea into the harbour like revolutionaries did all those years ago. If you pay almost 30 dollars for this museum, you should get to throw tea into the harbour.
