Great group of people with fairly well maintained, but heavily used boats. Their classes are taught by very experienced sailors and the class size are very small with plenty of one on one instruction. The only downside is that if your a member on the large boats, unless you book long in advance it can be hard to get the exact boar that you want for a weekend.

Went Sailing on Boston Harbour at 54, Lewis Wharf and had a blast. We were lucky enough to have the sails to us and the Nelli was smooth as butter. An hour long sailing was worth it with a loads of stuff to learn...! Definitely worth doing once a while to experience the blue seas and open sky..!

This is place a gem. Far and away the best fractional ownership sailboat opportunity in the area. Their skilled, knowledgeable, service oriented staff feel like family. Also its the best sailing school around and their racing program is a blast!

Im a woman that has a fanatical sailor husband. We signed up for a 3 part course to learn sailing, so I could become the fan too! The staff are young and fun & we had some really good instruction. We actually had some amazing sailing days. I would say this team gave me the confidence to enjoy sailing- which was pretty hard to do. Am I in love with sailing- not YET- but at least I know what to do and can help out on deck.Yes, this place is great. Good community of people as well.

Great training, very friendly, focused on knowledge. This is a busy place. Make sure you take your time to understand what you need to learn. Book your classes early in the summer, as classes get booked fast. Literally, classes are booked 6 weeks out. At the end of the summer, you are a skipper. I had a great experience with this center.

Great place to learn how to sail or sail a wide variety of boats if you are certified to do so. 23 foot Solings and Sonars for daysailing up to 40 foot coastal cruising class. They take care of everything.

BSC is one of the hidden gems of Boston. It’s a great place for beginners to expert sailors, racers and cruisers. Maintenance has been great on all the boats. Of course some sailors need more maintenance than others but absent the usual user error the BSC does a great job with an amazing staff.

While the center may be ok for first time learners, maintenance on the higher level boats no longer exists. For $3000 per season, 3 of our past 5 J24 boats had broken motors, and the staff acted like it was business as usual. Stay away if you are an experienced sailor.

Awesome, amazing experience. Instructors were fantastic. Boats are accessible. Im looking forward to learning more and progressing the skills I was taught. By the way; the Boston Harbor is beautiful and EVERYONE should see Boston from this very unique vantage point!

I’ve sailed at Boston Sailing Center for the past 9 years and think BSC is wonderful for experienced sailors or for those taking their first lessonI’ve seen an improvement of the fleet over this timeframe and a consistent, hard working team of office staff and instructors. The fleet is well maintained and the club atmosphere includes social events and the opportunity to meet other members to sail with.Sailing in Boston Harbor is amazing and this could be the best part of your summer

The operation has steadily gone downhill since the previous owner passed away. Under the new ownership in 2018, the boats break down more often possibly due to lack of maintenance and lack of new fleet, the degraded boat maintenance contributes to more mishaps in boat handling during docking, un-docking and sailing in the outer harbor. The new ownership/management seems to be stressed out in managing day to day events thus create a stressful environment for the customers/members. They simply dont have the good business sense as the previous owner did to run a relaxed, welcoming experience for customers

Excellent courses, great sailboats! I took a couple sailing courses this past summer, and the quality of the course and instructors was truly excellent. I then purchased a membership for sailing up through 27 daysailers, and truly enjoyed being out on the water for the remainder of the sailing season. Looking forward to continuing it this year as things warm up!

Great instructors, boats, and above all customer service. If anything comes up last minute, instead of being bumped from your reservation, the BSC staff makes things right. Some other sailing memberships in new england could learn alot from how BSC treats their members.
