Worst business in the whole world! The guy was so rude. Don I believe his name was; was extremely unprofessional. He was playing around with the prices. Changed the prices every two minutes, not following his website. In another words, he was making up the prices. Was extremely rude and hung up the phone. I’m telling you, trust me, do not waste your time with him. Very unprofessional! -Also his website is false advertisement as well. It says to rent a boat it is $325 for full day which is 12 hours. When arriving at the location, he calls (mind you; doesn’t come face to face). Calls and says that he doesn’t know what we are talking about. I read the reviews before going. They were terrible but I figured you know what. We’re just going to go there, rent a boat and enjoy our day. But trust me... the reviews are all accurate. And the ones on there that have good reviews and ones definitely he probably wrote on his own! Please I assure you do not go there. I brought my business somewhere else and am soo excited to go on this trip with my 4 friends. Too bad he just lost a $700 sale.Response: to the response from the owner:I really would appreciate honest business. Lying wont get you anywhere in life. I told you I have had multiple experiences with boats. I have been to plenty of docks/Islands with groups of people that I brought and sailed there. You knew this information. The reason why we came for this training was so that we can preview the look before. Again... you knew that information. When we were heading back, you called on the phone to speak with me. (which for the record is very unprofessional). You were extremely rude on the phone. You basically told us to get off your boat or pay you ($375). Which is not even a rate on your website. You really need help to run a business legally. Thanks! Again everyone. Do not go here. I usually do not write reviews, but this man does not get to treat people the way he does! You stay safe as well!!

You must stay away from this guy! He took my money, never communicated with me, and wouldnt provide a refund. Under no circumstance put down money or have anything to do with this business.

Absolutely horrible operation. No office. He sends a kid down with a piece of paper to write your credit card information. Prices did not match. Then Don was trying to charge for a big boat but trying to give the little boat. The kid got there a half hour late. Then the kid had to go fetch someone in the water because a boat broke down. The boats are junk. Do not go here. We ended up arguing wth the idiots and left. The worst experience on fathers day 2020. We had more fun at Cheers.

Take your money else where, the prices on his website do not match the price the owner gives you over the phone. Very unprofessional and disorganized, the owner clearly does not know how to run a business and is suffering from mental illness based on the other bad reviews and treats all potential customers this way.Definitely would NOT recommend to even waste the time using his services.

Extremely rude and dishonest man. The guy I believe his name was Don, was extremely unprofessional over the phone. He hung up on me when I was asking questions. The place`s address is also wrong and looking at the prior reviews, it seems as though something is not right. Please read the reviews and do not waste your time. Very unprofessional. We rented a boat from Don last minute to get out on the water with friends. He could not have been more accommodating, he provided the boat as described and was willing to meet us at any time or location that worked for us. He offered, but did not insist on, food and drinks, and provided a great, experienced instructor to help us throughout the day. We wanted to add on another hour because we were having such a great time and was able to accommodate that as well. Highly recommended and we will be renting again. Thanks Don!

This enterprise has the feel of a hobbyist turned pro and youll probably be fine if you approach it extremely lackadaisically.Maybe I caught the wrong guy on the wrong day, but given how he answered the phone and the fact that I could hear his car seat belt alarm going off in the background- Im guessing at minimum, I had the right guy.Conversation went extremely south as soon as I asked how much cash I should [gladly and understandably] bring for a deposit- which is listed as a requirement on the website. Every other rate for any other service/function/etc seemed listed and at the ready.I decided to try this in lieu of going out and buying a Mustang to tool around in for the summer so I really could not possibly care less how much he wanted, I just wanted to know how much cash to have on hand that day. He could provide no specific value and when pressed further I was told it depends, but was offered none of the variables that would shift that value. I dont really know what conclusion to draw there, frankly.I asked if there was any other person there or piece of information I could offer to narrow down the answer from idk to literally any range, when he immediately changed in tone and tenor (for the worse) quoted me a rate that was in excess of 200% of the actual rate for service. He then effectively ended the conversation with flippant faux answers and that tone people use when they just want you to know they are not speaking genuinely.dude just hang up next time, it would have saved you the review and me the time

Came with friends from Toronto for my bachelor party and booked this last minute (as other plans fell through) and we were not disappointed! We were taken on a 3 hour harbor cruise and were provided with unlimited drinks and food, a Bluetooth stereo to listen to our own music, and even a chance to take a quick dip in the ocean! Very good service, and was priced well for what we got! I would book this again if I ever come back to Boston

Don is the best! We’ve chartered with Don for two consecutive years now after learning about his rentals through a friend. We always choose to have lunch and unlimited drinks. Friends from out of town joined us this year and had a great time. Don and his team are so accommodating and fun! It rained on the day of our charter this year and Don gave us several options to make up for the weather (even though it’s something completely out of his control!) We’ll definitely be renting againing next summer.

After telling us the day before that he would be able to instruct and let us rent a boat for a higher-than-asked for price, Don cancelled the morning after stating that it was logistically infeasible. Use your time and money elsewhere.

Don and his team are top notch! I’ve been renting boats with them for years. Whenever I have a friends or family from out of town it’s always a blast to get out on the harbor. I can’t think of a better way to experience the city. Don provides everything you need to get out on the water and runs a great business. Highly recommend!

Couldnt have had a more pleasant experience nor received a fairer price! Don and Steve were both overwhelmingly friendly and professional and set me up with their 60 horsepower boat for a wonderful day boating on the harbor. Pickup was super easy at the barking crab dock.

Probably the best deal you will ever get in Boston! I suggest no one listen to the bad reviews because they are simply not true. Don has great customer service and deliver what he promises, a boat. The price and service are unbeatable! My wife and I rented a boat for our wedding anniversary and went out to spectacle island, such a beautiful view! I recommend him to everyone!! Horrible Mickey Mouse club they have running for a business. Made a reservation days in advanced and even called to confirm. On the day of the rental they did not have a boat available and said “I don’t have your boat, I can’t help you, don’t drag this out” and proceeded to hang up. He left me and 6 other people stranded.

I had my bachelor party onboard the Indiscretion this past Saturday. Captain Don and his crew were awesome. We had plenty to eat and drink. Gave us a great tour of the harbor. They even let us move our time up to avoid some bad weather. Ill definitely be going back.

I rented from this guy Don a couple years back and let me tell you he is a person that is not reliable for sure. I twice rented from him and the first time he told me everything I wanted to hear then came time to rent at 8am and he was nowhere to be found. I called him the day before to make sure it was on and he agreed. that morning at 8am I had to call, call, and call. finally he picked up and he gave us a song and a dance. Finally he showed up 2 hours late and we got underway after a huge argument. We were all setup and spent money not only for the boat rental, but food, ice, and the running around to have this day on the water.Second time we rented the boat, we broke down 10 min. after the rental. Don came out and was yelling and screaming at us like it was our fault his very unmaintained boat broke. My husband told him to calm down and to watch how he spoke to us and our guests or he was going to slap that vulgar mouth of his and Don did exactly what he was told. This guy is very unprofessional in what he does. When you have to threaten a business owner with physical force because of his filthy mouth and erratic behavior there is a problem. This guy needs more reviews like this to make public awareness to avoid problems that he will bring you.

DO NOT do business with this company! Owner is thief and illiterate foul mouth.Charges you more after the fact because he doesnt like something. Curses and swears at you and above all is huge sexist. God forbid you are a female...And DO listen to bad reviews. They are here for a reason. A huge ruin your day reason. Do yourself favor and go on sail boat or those mini speed boats. SUPER SUPER RUDE, I call to find out more information before I book the boat, the guy that pick up answer 3 question and told me he was done with answering all my question. I told him I need to make sure is what we are looking for before we commit to it. And he was so rude and told me he answer question all day and he is done answering question. He than told me if no one know how to drive a boat dont call back. Super rude how they talk to their customer.

Total dick. LISTEN to the bad reviews and save yourself the nasty comments. Ive never experienced someone so rude in my life, especially considering he theoretically wants to make money. Its as what hed really like is not to have any customers at all. Happy to help on that score.

I had rented from them a few times. The professionalism of the owner (I guess?) is non existent. I was shocked by the language and demeanor. I would NOT go there again. They also run the coupon scheme and every time you call to book a rental they keep changing their tune and claim that they have no availability, even though two minutes earlier confo9rmts that hey did... As other said... RUN or ROW AWAY...

I wish it was possible to give this less than 1 star. It deserves no stars whatsoever. After we ended up dead in the water, the owner Don came out to help us. He screamed profanities at us from his boat (called us f-ing morons and many other things) and was absolutely the most unprofessional person I have ever encounter. He basically held us hostage until we gave him a credit card to cover damages then charged more than we agreed to. If you know whats good for you, stay far away from this company. Totally ruined our trip to Boston!!

I rented a boat last June and proposed to my fiance while onbaord. Yes, Don is a busy man with a family and business to run. Yes, Don may not be the most organized person in the world. Yes, my boat needed fuel and had a non working fuel guage when we arrived at the dock. Yes, Don told me how to get the boat as he was unable to get there to meet me.For the prices that Don charges, you should learn to roll with the punches. He is easily 1/2 the price of other boat rentals in the area. If you know your stuff, Dons a great option to get out on the water. Don will accompany you on some of the larger boats if you want the comfort of a skilled captain on the deck.From my experiances he is an honest person running a legitimate business, his boat rental service would be like renting a cabin in Maine where you have to turn the heat and water on yourself, make the beds and clean up on your way out. Its not the Four Seasons.I would go again in a heartbeat. I would also conduct my own safety inspection and fuel check just like to when I get on my own boat. Its much cheaper than buying/maintaining a boat! My sister also had a great trip on one of the larger boats.For the price, it cant be beat.
