The course is well kept. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they dont furnish sand to replace divots. They dont want folks handling the containers. The course is very scenic. The fairways are nice but the second cut is thick and this time of the year (leaves) you can lose balls that are struck well. The staff is friendly and the Marshall keeps the pace constant (4 players 4 hours). The greens are like putting on glass and they undulate. If you find yourself above the hole you are in trouble. $50 for 18 holes worth every penny. The place was packed, dont know if it was because of the time of year (Oct 21, 2020) or if it is always this busy. This is a public course and one of very few if not the only one. Try it, youll enjoy it! Thanks.

This is a true hidden gem. My favorite public course to play in the NC mountains. Its always well maintained and groomed. Lush grass as far as the eye can see. Staff is friendly and ready to help with your needs. Always a favorite but during fall the leaves changing colors gives a beautiful backdrop to a round of golf.

This golf course is absolutely horrible to new players and college students. Admittedly we had a group of 8 but were split into 2 groups of 4. The entire time we were doing our best to be respectful to other players while still taking the appropriate amount of time to play.Halfway through workers decided to tell us that we were not allowed to share clubs and must return to the shop and rent clubs, even though they neglected to let us know in the beginning.When we arrived inside to rent clubs, a worker completely told us off for not being respectful on the course and was seriously rude to us while we were in the shop, saying we needed to take our antics elsewhere.We were taken back but decided it was best to apologize and say we would do better to be more respectful while on the course.After 6 more holes the owner shows up to us on the green, in his car, yelling and screaming that he had never had so many complaints about a group ever before. He then proceeded to tell us we needed to leave that instant or he would call the police.We will not be returning to Boone Golf and if you are a newer or inexperienced player I dont suggest you do either.I believe the main problem was that they had overbooked and we ended up having to start after our tee time just to get a cart. Because of this, people were frustrated that they werent able to play as fast as normal. They see a group of college students and think the reason they arent moving as fast is because they are fooling around and being disrespectful.I have never in my life been treated so poorly or like a child before, please think before visiting this golf course masquerading as a country club.

Beautiful golf course in great condition. The greens are slick and quick with some undulation. Friendly staff and top notch atmosphere. Even had a fawn come out and try to steal my ball on the fairway before the mama deer came and they ran in the woods! Its busy most of the time but there is a starter to help. A real gem.

This is a nice course. The staff was friendly. Course was in great shape. Some of the best greens Ive played all year. Nice views. Not priced too bad. It is worth the money. I recommend this course if you havent played it. It has some challenges. The fairways were in great shape as well.

Very nicely maintained course, the course starter was very helpful and courteous. Our group was from SC but they made us feel like members! Dont miss it if you have a chance to play.

In town and stopped by to play in twilight. Course is great and for the price, it is almost a steal! Up kept great and staff were super helpful. Slowing rolling hills, Marsh, sand and water hazards offer a great challenging round but if you’re not on your game, then you at least can enjoy some great views. Just go. Period.

Incredible professionalism and courtesy!Came to see if I could spend a little time on the driving range and was able to be accommodated on the spot with nine or 18 holes. Incredibly manicured & beautiful views... unbelievable opportunity to golf at an affordable price in paradise!

The staff are incredibly polite, they even drove a cart to my car to give it to me so I wouldnt have to walk to the club house. The price is a little high, but the quality of the course is well worth it. The course has been really well maintained. I did drive once about 380 yards and someone stole my ball, because it landed on the green while they were putting, but I didnt think it could even be hit so far, someone should possibly recheck the distance on the 18th hole.

This was my first time playing Boone GC and its a great public course that is well maintained. The greens rolled true and the fairways provided good lies. It is definitely a player friendly course with lots of birdie opportunities. I would give it 5 stars if they didnt let people go off on the back nine and slow down play.Our group had the second tee time of the day and played the front in 1 hour 35 minutes. When we got to the 10th tee there was a 4 some just leaving the tee box and another on the tee waiting to hit. We waited 20 minutes before we could hit our tee balls. We waited on every shot that we hit and that makes it hard to keep my concentration. The back 9 took 3 hours and 10 minutes to play, not acceptable!I got an early tee time so I could play a quick round, not an almost 5 hour round. I drove 2 hours to play this course and Im very disappointed that management allowed this to happen. If this is the way they are going to treat people, I dont know if I will play there again.Consider yourself warned if you play early!

Mountain golf without the ups and downs! Boone Golf Club is located right in town and is a spectacular golf course. Most of the holes play in the valley with only a few holes with much elevation change, not typical of many courses in the area. Lush bent grass greens are large and undulating and present a challenge to all levels of golfers.Conditions are typically great May-October depending on weather. In a sub-tropical climate located at 3000+ feet above sea level you can pretty much you’re going to get occasional rain squall and wind but temperatures rarely get into the 80’s!Boone Golf Club is a do not miss golf course in the area..twilight rates are great and you’ll be in store for an unforgettable sunset!

What a great course. The weather in the summer makes your rounds sweat free. The course isnt long, but the greens are undulating and fast and the course is always in great shape!! Great people in the pro shop and the rates are great too!!

This was the best value course I ever played. The course was in EXCELLENT condition. Greens were well manicured. The staff is as cordial as you will ever find.I cant wait untill I get back so I can play this course again and again..

Great course. Nice staff. Very challenging greens. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in excellent shape. Im not from the area and expected more elevation throughout the course but it was very flat. Not a big deal but I was a little disappointed at the very least.
