I love Sugar Sand park, it has changed a ton since I was young. From a wooden pirate themed playground with some cool science flared into it. To a more modern treasure trove of excitement and learning. From the misting area to beat the heat, to the elaborate construct ranging three stories high that houses different area like a train cabin, boat, bridge to a ship, and littered with facts about our wonderful planet. It is a fun filled adventure for kids and parents alike. Do make it a point to visit this park, you wont regret it.

Had my sons 8th birthday party here and it was a huge hit!!! And the best part was it was free. I highly recommend this park. They have a splash area, carousel, science play place, and nature trail and scavenger hunt. We love it here!!

I love this park. First time being there. Its great for many events. I wish I had the opportunity to look around more. But what I did see Its a great park.

Loved this park! Different zones for different age groups and a splash park right up front! There looked like there were other atteactions carousel, bike trails and nature center but we spent so much time at the park we didnt get to experience them.COVID warning: Almost nobody present wore a mask and it got very packed at one point. I didnt see a sanitation notice or log. Take your own precautions at this park.

Incredible Park had a quick 3 person get together, for Fathers Day, during Corona social distancing rules... We all had a great time, nice ,quiet, and peaceful. We used to take my daughter there about 20 years ago, perfect for kids... fields trees trails.. everything you need.

Its a large place for kids to run, climb, slide, and swing. Theres even a mist zone for warmer days. There are a few picnic tables, two are under a pavilion. My 6 and 7 year old grandkids love this park.

Fantastic playground for kids. So much to do and lots of learning opportunities. The water mist was great as well to cool off. There is ample parking and best of all, its free!

This place is awesome!!!! Its very large and there is a wall surrounding the playground. Problem is its easy for your kids to get lost in there. However, there is only one way in and one way out so that helps. Even though it has a wall a full grown adult could reach over so I still keep watch on the kids. I make them use the buddy system. The science center and nature walk are the best! But the science center is presently closed due to covid.

This park is one of the best parks in Florida. There is literally something for everyone. Baseball, basketball, soccer, football and a spot to skate. The kids especially love the science museum. Entrance is free as it is a public park however a donation is encouraged. In the same building as the science museum is an explorium that offers multiple interactive stations. There are hands on activities for children of all ages. Lots of things to do to ramp up brain activity. There is also a pretty large theatre in the building. There is a nature trail located off the back entrance that is a peaceful walk. The children’s park is a short distance from the museum. It has separate areas for the older and younger kids to have fun. No written explanation of the features could do the children’s park justice. It is a custom conglomerate of every kind of activity possible to wear the kiddos out. They even have a sprint section with a large digital timer built in so the kids can race each other. At the end of the day there is a large merry-go-round on the outside of the kids park. That does cost a dollar or two and the kids have a great time which makes it worth it.

Really wonderful park to play with my kids. I visite this park frequently (lest 1 time per week).If you want to go: GO! play, learn, and picnic.

Big, beautiful, and clean. So many things to do for FREE. You can definitely spend an entire day here. Put the kids in a swimsuit and let them loose.

I love Sugar Sand park, I brought my son yesterday for the first time and I used to go when I was a kid, in summer camp, its an amazing park and has a little water playground area as well! Great fun for all!

Absolute best playground we have EVER been to. HUGE and so much fun! They have a carousel (a ride is one dollar/one token)! playground has things for all ages and plenty of shade to sit. Also there’s an inside explorium.

Great Park to take the family they have a nice playground with sprinklers swings large slides smaller slide racing pad and a carousel that is currently closed but will hopefully reopen soon.

I have never seen such a fantastic public park. Usually the parks with all the features dont have lots of nature, but the walking trails are lush and natural, theres shade everywhere, and the community center is packed with things to do that actually dont suck. The playground is larger than many apartment buildings Ive seen. Im amazed.

So much fun! So much to do! Love that they have a refreshment truck there. We planned on staying an hour but ended up staying 4! Bring cash for the carousel. My daughter and niece had a blast! It is kind of hard to keep an eye on them when they are in the structure. There should be more seating at the entrance because then you at least know your kid didnt walk off.

Great park with a huge playground, horse carousel and water play area. However the carousel was closed when we went there. Best of all there was no admission.

The science emporium us here its free to all. Kids enjoy exploring all of the great science experiments that are here for them to enjoy. The playground is amazing always entertaining the young minds. Lets not forget the garden and trail that has been added for enjoyment.

The playground here is amazing. My kids love this place this is a picture I saw a post it on the wall in the lobby. I would sure like to purchase it for my family home. Sugar Sand Park is an awesome place and its definitely worth the time to stop and visit it.

This place is genius! parents put your running shoes on because you will either run around because its so inviting and exhilarating or you will not find you kid because they are lost in the maze. I love love this park! We need more parks likes this one! Carousel is right next to the park, ice cream truck and a museum!! Perfect day for everyone!

I love to bring my Munchkin here. It’s absolutely beautiful. I really like, I mean he really likes the Carousel. It’s so much fun. The Concession Stand is awesome. It’s so many activities and is also age based. He really loves the water activities too especially on a hot day. As soon as I say we are going to the park he smiles so brightly.

Amazing place to bring the little ones. So many activities. There is even a side for the even smaller ones 1-3 year olds. The unlimited amount to do slides rope climbs, crawling, stairs almost maze like. Best part is the splash pad in the middle after getting all hot and sweaty.

We took our 5 year old daughter there for the first time yesterday afternoon and found it to be a really well kept park and playground. A kids art festival going on so it was packed with cars and people. We had to park on the grass and walk a bit. I would think you would be able to park closer to the playground on non-event days. Over all my daughter enjoyed it because she is not shy and very athletic. Which is good because the kids there ranged mostly from 3 to 12 years old and can be a bit intimidating. Kids are running all over the place and its very hard for parents to see where their kids are because of the upper pathways having walls and also being quite large. Theres a water mist play area in the center for those hot days, swings, slides and a small foot race area. I like that there is only one way in and out of the playground so if youre watching that entrance, your child cant accidentally exit the place without you. Its clean, beautiful & peaceful, one of my favorite parks in our area.

This place is quite a bit bigger then I expected. Alot of room and things to get tired out on as well as a splash pad to cool off. They loved it and I had fun running around with them. Only word of caution is it is QUITE easy to lose sight of your children here sobe careful and have a plan. Otherwise have fun!

What can I say about this wonderful park? It is a great place for kids to play in a safe environment. Also, there is a beautiful carousel for a minimal cost. There is a water feature that the children can play in, so make sure to bring a towel. The Park also has several ballfields, which my nephew plays baseball and enjoys the beautiful facilities.

Wonderful park with something for a wide age range of children, I really couldnt believe it was free to play here! My daughter loved the carousel and the little kids playground. I only wish I had researched better, I wouldve brought her swim suit for the splash pad

This park is amazing! Super busy, but completely understandable. Playground is massive, merry go round, childrens science museum is really cool. Free to go except for merry go round but still an awesome stop or day to play with the family. Had a great birthday party for my kid. Will be back for next birthday party soon!!!

This place is great for children. High quality and sturdy play area. Carousel was very nice and only $1 per ride! They are right next to a little science room with lots of fun booths for children with air, magnets, and electronics meant to kids.If I lived in Florida, and wasnt just there visiting, Id have my daughter there most weekends.

Great Playground! I absolutely, LOVE the fact that this is one of the only parks that has swings AND a carousel to top it all off! Free admission to the park, no resident permit needed BUT I do wish they had more shaded/covered picnic tables or pavilions.

Very well kept park. Super clean, great playground experience. The park has many beautiful baseball fields, basketball courts and everything in between. Do check out the carousel located at the heart of the park. During Halloween they host a safe and fun event called Shriek Week!! Also many family oriented events throughout the year! We love Sugar Sand!

Our family love this park. The tower of equipment is large enough parents can follow their children through. The splashpad is an added bonus and the kids love it! By the entrance of the playground has a carousel you pay for. This is definitely a favorite for my 7 year old!

A child heaven oh, so much to do and so very much fun! Children can climb, hide, play on playground equipment, and it is enclosed so you can watch your children easily.

The playground here is amazing. And with the science exploratorium and the carousel, theres plenty to do for several hours. The only drawback is that the infrastructure, while awesomely complex, makes it easy to lose track of kids, especially the little ones. That said, my kids (7 and 4) LOVE it here! Especially in the hotter months, when the water features are running.

Probably one of the best kids parks in South Florida. The playground is massive, they have a water play area, three story fort with slides, and tons of fun things to do. Your kids will have a blast!

Incredible destination for those with young ones. Encourages imagination and promotes physical activity which so many of our youngsters dont get enough of today. Parents and grandparents can take a nice Starbucks and some snacks follow their youngsters around and just relax.

Been coming to this park since 2006. Theyve redone the whole place and now its twice as good as before. Brought the grandkids 5 and 7. They thought it was the best ever. Plan to spend at least a few hours. Pictures dont do the place justice.

This park is a favorite of my children, in the heat that Florida does in the summer the park becomes fun and cool with the water toy that is at the entrance of the park, my kids like to go in the carousel and always picnic in the park . there are several places with table and bench to make picnic in the middle of the forest

Awesome park for kids to run around and explore. It is very well maintained and has a huge structure with many pathways, slides, and tunnels. Kids will have a blast chasing each other and playing hide and seek. Also has a carousel, which is a classic for all ages!

Love love love this friggin place! Whether you have kids or not this place is the best! I am 29 years old with a 10 and 9 year old and my wife and kids ran up and down that playground like we were trying to wear out our new sneakers! If you get too hot just take a stroll through the misters by the giant face, lol, jokes aside its fun for everyone, even Grinches and Scrooges.When we were there we ate at an ice cream truck called Monster Cone and we had to add something about the ice cream since we couldnt find a page to review the truck independently but it was a 5 out of 5 stars as well!Great Job Sugar Sands& Monster Cone!

Its free. Has a science Center, one room and an outdoor small garden area. Butterflies exhibit (small). A carousel $1 to ride. My kids enjoyed it. They are 5 and 9.

Huge park with lots to do. Playground, merry go round, nature trail, sports fields and indoor area. The playground is amazing and has a small misting/splash pad like area my toddler absolutely loves.

Beautiful park to walk through. Lovely foliage and pleasant paths to walk on. Easy parking.

Great park to take the kids to. Took a big group of kids there and made it a fun AND educational excursion. The information about the ocean/wildlife and dinosaur pit made it really interesting!

This park is awesome! It has a small Science Explorium (free)! It has a carousel, nature trail, small butterfly garden a beautiful- huge and entertaining playground with age designated areas. The kids love coming here, I drive from Fort Lauderdale to Boca Raton occasionally to visit and its always a blast!

LOVE THE NEW SUGAR SAND! My family and I finally made it after the playground reopened post renovations. My two year old had a blast and didnt want to leave. We were there almost 3 hours. Bring lots of water because its hot and while theres a place to play in the water the kiddos get super hot on that turf. Next time well bring change for ice cream! (They had a cart right outside the playground.)

Just a great place to take young kids. An old style merry-go-round is on the premises and theres a science museum for kids that also displays childrens art from time to time. I even got to see the original robot from Lost In Space. Dont know what I didnt take a picture? I think it came from a locals private collection.

This is a great little Park. It has a carousel, baseball fields, basketball courts. Lots to do. Great place to bring kids. You can have a barbecue underneath the overhang. Great place for events. The slight drawback is that sometimes parking can be tough on the weekends. Especially if theres any events scheduled. They also have a field house. I recommend checking this place out.

Place is very big & you have to keep an eye on your child. My daughter has a great time. Good there is only 1 way in & 1 way out.

This park has so much to offer. My kids love the playground that even keeps the older kids entertained with its 3 floors or climbing and slides. Theres a splash pad in the middle for the hot days. Even an outdoor carousel! We especially love the kids science explorium! It had lots of hands on activities and they simply ask for a donation (no entry fee).I know there is more there that we havent explored much, nature trails, basketball courts, and more.

Great place to play indoor basketball. Get a squad and join the COBRA mens league. Great competition, organizers... only con: refs make questionable calls and theres nothing you can do about it. A couple of them are quite immature, talk back to the players, and ruin the games sometimes. Regardless the league in general is super fun.

The best park I’ve ever seen! It is huge and has a water area, many fun obstacles in the playground, toddler area and a carousel.

Great recreational park! Outdoor hockey rink with basketball hoops too! Not to mention the indoor basketball court, baseball fields, and carousel. Great place to take the family for a fun day of activities.

The new park is wonderful just too hot in the middle of the summer the carousel is the best and of course is always something fun to do inside in the air conditioning this place is terrific for kids.We were all a little disappointed that there no more water guns. That was fun.

Beautiful park. The kids love to play here. There are always other kids to play with. It can get a bit crowded at times. The only big drawback is that you cant see the entrance/exit door from any of the benches except the ones in the water mister area that are all wet.

The best playground in the area. Just recently renovated, a huge construction for climbing, discovering and playing. Beautifully build, its great fun for all kids.

The baby loved it and the family enjoyed accompanying him. The conditions were all well-kept. Bringing the boy to this spot will be part of my routine.

This place is amazing. My 2 yr old loves the huge outdoor park and the amazing indoor science area. We discovered this park from the shriek week lite night Halloween event. We look forward to catching more events here like the willow theater.
