I had been bugging my bf at the time for us to head here after hearing about it on check please bay area. so one saturday he picked me up from work and we headed over. parking was a little difficult but we arrived at the restaurant and there were a few open tables.

I understand that platform is dedicated to play 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. However, you do have different cultures and age groups that are coming in to enjoy an evening out. It would be nice if the DJ plays different music to make every one enjoy the evening!

The two bartenders (women) are very rude!! Horrible customer service.Be careful with your credit / debit cards because my drinks were charged twice!!!!

This was a 40th birthday to remember. Our party was having a great time and service was amazing. Everything was great until this old zombie came up to our bartender and asked us to close our tab because he was weary about an $800 tab not being paid as most of us were on the dance floor. We had zero intention of leaving any time soon. We had to leave early because of a rude act from an old owner who couldnt trust a birthday party to pay. We could of paid twice as much before being kicked out. Dont come to this establishment and support a business on the outskirts of Mizner that cant hold up to their standard.

Wanted to listen and dance to disco music! Sound system horrific, drinks so so and attitude or vibe of the place leaves a lot to be desired. Place in dire need of an overhaul

Called about renting a night, once joe was challenged on the ridicules 2500 charge...he went on the offensive and started yelling at me..lol please dont waste your time there!!!

We celebrated a birthday, at Platforms, recently. Our entire group were mid fifties to seventy. We had a terrific night. There were many thirty somethings among the 150 folks. The club hold 300.The club is great fun. It’s a $10.00 cover, no minimum. The drinks are delicious and fairly priced. We had Cokes, juices, cocktails, mocktails, and beers.The bartenders are delightful. Hats off to their bar back; he never stopped moving.The decor is great fun. The music is 70’s, 80’s, and some 90’s. The sound system is outstanding. There’s a disco ball above their lighted dance floor.Here’s the real fun: all the songs are the original Music Videos shown all over the club in glorious SD. Platforms DJ knows how to keep the dance floor moving. He’s very good! We danced a lot.It’s East Boca Raton, between Mizner and Royal Palm Plaza. Open Friday and Saturday 8:00 PM to 2:00 AMAs for the four stars: we felt that the restrooms needed more attention. That’s an easy fix. We’re back in two weeks for another event. Cheers Platforms. Such fun.

This place is fun... but drinks are very expensive also bartender rude and very careless “I got charge twice for my drinks plus she change the tip from $1 to $6... not very honest.Your drinks get pick up before glasses are empty while you are dancing.

The music is OK, but the drinks are WAY overpriced! $11 for Titos. When I asked for a club soda, it was $3. No refills!! Dedicated drivers dont even get a soda free. Creepy old guy owner said, Its our policy. My new policy is to stay away from this place.

Band last night was great. Studio 54. Buy bar maids are terrible. Ordered 2 drinks. Sat there waiting for them as I saw the bar maid would take other orders and never served ours. Sat there for 10 minutes waiting. Finally said lets leave. So we went to another bar and spent our money there. Bar bill there 240.

Celebrated my wife’s 50th birthday. Overpriced drinks. $8 for a bottle of beer. Female owner extremely creepy, stares at everyone. The topper was being slammed to the ground by a bouncer after for no reason what so ever. Police were called and they are still looking into it. The owners are very rude.

The music was so blah. With all the good music in the 80s and 70s, why play John Cougar Mellencamp 2×, within an hour of each other?? Dance floor was empty, tbh so was the place. Evangelina, the bartender, definitely made up for the DJ though. She saved the night! This place has the potential to be a blast, if they can get the DJ to play better music. If youre looking for good 80s music, reasonably priced drinks and a packed, fun spot go to The Official 80s Disco Club in Dania instead. That place is always a blast!

Do yourself a favor, stay away from this place. Bar staff are great even though the drink prices are ridiculous. Female owner literally stalks the place watching everyone. Very creepy!! The security guard attacked a friend of mine for no reason cutting open his head. Police were called but nothing was done. Ruined a special night for all of us.

This is where you go when you’re retired, it’s like walking into one of those 55+ communities. If you like the older crowd, definitely give this place a visit. You will get wide open space to dance and drink in the cool air conditioning. The bar service was fast and friendly.

Ok, just for starters the place needs some serious remodeling, and nothing is as advertised on their website. Fridays music still 70s disco, overpriced drinks ($ 9 for wine advertised at $ 5) and a 60+ crowd. Just a sad, sad place.

Had a good first experience, but why can anyone hired a dj that plays latin salsa, meregue,bachata, if you do that you will not have a space to walk or park,other than a good place

The website states $5 for well drinks and wine. Well Im here right now and well drinks are $8. False advertising, Bartenders wouldnt honor the $5. Not right! It is a fun place for disco music and meeting peopke.

Oh my gosh....went here for a friends bday and had a blast! Its a nice lil hideaway to go listen to old school music 70s 80s 90s and some today. For a mature crowd(50 plus) or a nostalgic night out....EITHER WAY U WILL HAVE A BLAST!!

Great environment. Amazing music and cover bands. Unfortunately the bar is not as well stocked as Id hoped but the staff is very charming and empathetic.

Had my birthday party at Platforms, loved the music, danced all night, bottle prices were excellent, bartenders were nice and all my guests had a great time. Definitely recommend.

Platforms is Heaven on Earth! Fridays and Saturdays it is the best place in South Florida to hear 70s,80s, Old Skool and Disco....If you like traditional SoFla clubs (House, Electronic Music, or top 40), you may not enjoy listening to that type of music..But if you Hustle, this is your place! The staffmembers are attentive Earth Angels...If you are very nitpicky or looking for a meat market to pick up women, please don come and kill our positive vibes!! Peace, Love and Joy is what those of us who are regulars LOVE about Platforms!

The music is great, 70s-90s playing. However the usual company there is a sausage fest among a few elder women.

Id give this dance club 0 stars but Google doesnt give me that option. Paid $5 on a Saturday night (per person. We were a party of 10). Drinks WERE/ARE OVERPRICED. Asked cashier for WiFi password, she said I dont know it, you have to ask owner. Found owner, asked him for WiFi passcode, his response I dont know it, you gotta ask DJ. I asked DJ, his response I dont know it... So this is how GUESTS are treated at PLATFORMS DANCECLUB... Night sucks, NOT worth the cover price. OVERPRICED DRINKS and on TOP of THAT, OWNER and EMPLOYEES gave me the RUN AROUND for the WiFi password - NEVER got it... Again, Id give this dance club 0 stars but Google doesnt give me that option. F- PLATFORMS!!! Multiple thumbs DOWN!

Music from70 and 80 only and almost no Latin Music, that place needs a makeover.

Overall terrible experience.Granted, were not young people, but what kind of audience were they expecting for an Eagles tribute band?So, of course theres nowhere to park in Mizner village, but Ive encountered the same thing in the Hamptons and Manhattan. But this is suburbia. OK, so $10 to valet the car. No big deal.So we get to the club at 7:30 for the advertised start at 8:00, only to be told that the club opens at 8 and the band wont go on till 9:30..Again, were not youngsters. 9:30 is getting late for us.How hard would it have been to advertise the real starting time on the website or in the reminder text I got for the show?So we strolled around Mizner and had some ice cream.Back to the club about 8:15. Inside is freezing cold. I guess they were expecting a sellout crowd and cooling the place off before the crowd heated it up, but us and the ten other people were all sitting there shivering.So the band goes on about 9:40.Not bad. Could hardly hear the vocals. Drums way too loud.As a former sound engineer who worked plenty of clubs in the 70s,I can say that when you play to an empty house (been there, done that) you should turn down all the levels as there are no bodys to absorb the sound. All you get are echoes. Also, every club owner I met back then always kept the place warm if not hot. Hot people need to drink.We left after five songs. Not because of any one thing, but because of the overall experience.If this is the way things are done these days, I guess Im finished with it.

I can understand the price of a drink but to chaged for drink i did not drink is not right thay try to make me pay for every drink they did not chaged to someone i was told this place be fun to go to i rater go house club atess they know how to keep a tab
