It was a gorgeous day to sit at the shelter house an overlook the boats coming in and out. Its always beautiful scenery there.

We had a fantastic time out on the boat. We took our family out for a fun day of swimming and sunning. There isnt a better way to spend quality day with family that I can think of at this moment. I would recommend this to anyone who has a boat.

Nice ramp, but the shelter area and auxiliary beach are sketchy. Seems to be endlessly damaged by vandals, and eerily occupied by suspicious vehicles in the morning. Its basically a Bloomington city park with boaters.

When theres not a lot of people, it can be peaceful and fun for an in individual or family organization of peace.Thank you, One True Maker, for a place like This.

Broken glass everywhere, from the drunks everywhere. Trash, glass, and plenty of shady characters hang out here.

Just a boat ramp. Had to drive 20 mins. more to get a lake permit.

There is a twisty and enjoyable drive to get to the location. Once there you will have to pass through the boat launch area in able to reach the park area and restrooms.If you have a boat, there is always plenty of parking available for your vehicle and the boat launch area is nice and wide.

This was my familys first time here after I had heard so much about it.This park is incredible. There is so much to see and do, if you have children, its a must!Love this place. Playgrounds are amazing

Update 8/4/19 - water levels at normal pool. DNR docks are operational. Update 5/25/19, high water. Can still launch, no DNR docks for now. Usually quiet and free boat ramp. Pit toilet and water faucet.

THEIR IS AN SCP FOUNDATION IN THE AREA I SEARCHED IT UP SERIOUSLY!!

The scenery was perfect.

Pretty scenery

There is a nice picnic shelter here, with a sandy/rocky beach to climb on, and a very large parking lot nearby.

Its a nice place to view the lake and fish if thats your thing. Shoreline access, ample parking and shelter house with several tables and grills.DNR really should have kept the trash can though because taking it away does not encourage people to carry out their trash, in fact the opposite.However, I guess occasional groundskeeping is less costly as trash removal AND groundskeeping?
