Highly recommend the Basic Pistol and/or the Concealed Carry courses at Darnalls! The staff are knowledgeable and patient with students of every skill level and their questions.They were all great motivators too, by providing both compliments and critiques which were done in a manner to boost each students confidence, while at the same time being FIRM on safety. Darnalls provides a comfortable environment and the staff work well as a team and all were very accommodating.  During the Basic Pistol course the revolver provided was too large for me so the instructor loaned me their own personal one so I could safely complete a segment of that course. Then, I took my Concealed Carry course, 3 weeks into a torn hamstring injury. I was in a lot of pain and unable to put weight on my leg for very long or sit very long with the muscle spasms. I was afraid that i wouldnt be allowed to take the course with my injury. Not only was i allowed to take the course, the staff provided me with a ride to and from the lower range as well as a chair i could use to rest my leg between segments. Thank you Darnalls for your compassion and all of the training! I appreciate you!

Wonderful local range. Historical, and family operated. Both outdoor and indoor range. Love shooting the steel targets off the sheltered pistol side. My daughter and I shot while it rained and didnt get a rain drop on us

Great Gun Range! There are steel targets available on the pistol range or paper targets if you choose. Both the pistol and rifle ranges are covered. Secluded and tucked away in the countryside with not a lot of distractions.

Have had nothing but amazing experiences at Darnalls. I get treated like part of the family every time I come.

A great place to train and shoot. The Darnell’s will take care of you like you’re family. Mike is extremely knowledgeable and will spend time with you on anything firearm related. The outdoor range is beautiful and covered (I’ve shot in a downpour with out getting a drop of rain on me). I’ve taken my CCW class. It was an amazing facility for the class. They were able to keep both new and seasoned shooters focused. If you’re looking for a great place to shoot in Central Illinois then this is the place to go. They could easily charge double what they do for memberships and people would still come.

Always helpful...friendly ...good advice...with new improved outdoor facilities its awesome. And if you prove 100 yard accuracy you can move to 200 yard...and there is 300 yard also. Ask them for details...good job !! ;)

Love Darnalls, family atmosphere, and not just appearance. They are so patient, taught my son so much safety and all aspects of guns. Just great, incredibly knowledgable and nice people.

This is a great place to go shoot. You dont have to be a member but the membership is one 95.00 a year for the family.

Love this place, I have shot here multiple times. I have only used the indoor range, but I would definitely recommend it over other ranges in the area. The prices are very good. The only downfall is that it is out in the country west of town, but with all the other shooting options it offers it couldnt be located in town.

Fantastic place to shoot. Either smacking steel, smash skeet or precision hole punching it has great facilities for everything. Super friendly staff, who are more than happy to help. Well maintained and well stocked too.

Just an awesome family run business. I have been shooting in the trap League couple years and joined the skeet league this year. The score keepers are awesome and really helped me during practices and in legue improve my shooting skills. Price to shoot is extremely reasonable and very much a great experience very professionally set up and run!

My fiancé and I have talked about going shooting for months. As a surprise, I took him to Darnell’s and couldn’t have asked for a better first time shooting experience. From the moment we walked in, we were given such great customer service. We clearly had no idea what we were doing and Ron himself sat down and gave us a lesson on how to handle a pistol, load and unload and even figured out within minutes that I am a left hand shooter even though I’m right handed. He got us set up on the indoor range and we had a blast shooting. We even got to meet his wife, Sue, who is an instructor and former competitive shooter. This family owned business is special. Overall, just a great experience. We live in the Champaign area and will travel to Bloomington to continue our shooting experience!

Great place to shoot outdoors. However, customer service is abysmal. 3 separate times I have walked in with the intent to purchase a gun, and 3 separate times Ive gone elsewhere. I dont know if its because Im young (20), or if everyone experiences this, but they seem to have zero desire to make any firearm sales.

A great place for shooting handguns and rifles. And sporting clay. Use of lanes are not prorated though... So if you slightly go over the hour trying to clean up, your going to pay for that second hour.
