My experience of being interviewed by Keith Cromwell, Phil Richardson and Heather Hood went like this....Keith comes in and he and Heather joke about when they are going to hang out and drink wine next and continue their chatter for 15 minutes. After coming from LA Opera, its the most unprofessional and awkward interview I have ever had. It seems like they are just about costume rentals and who is friends with who. I hope the investors realize what their money is going into after the pandemic. They could have had a true costume professional.

Intimate setting for opera in a fabulous building. There are no bad seats! Plenty of nearby parking, too. They have an elevator if you need it.Lots of helpful and friendly staff and a bar where you can get mixed drinks, wine, and candy bars.After the production you can talk to the performers and do Q&A. The baritone we heard was really impressive!

Every time I attend a production at Red Mountain Theatre Company, I am always blown away by the talent and the professionalism of the cast. I buy season tickets every year and have been doing so for a while now. Its one of my favorite things to do. I highly recommend checking them out if you havent already! You will not find better talent anywhere!

Good venue to rent out. We have been here for several events. I wish the movie screen they use for Sidewalk Film Festival was a little larger.

Always an amazing experience. So very professional! My kids have been working with RMTC for years and its incredible how theyve matured in their abilities. Bradford does a fantastic job with the kids. I could not be more pleased. Their productions are worthy of Broadway and Im not the only one who thinks this way! Bravo!

A cool little location. Not a bad seat in the house. The talent is remarkable. I never imagined this kind of company being so successful in Birmingham. Its a delight. Everyone in the building takes pride in their work. They serve complimentary goldfish and offer a good variety of alcoholic beverages. Its well worth the experience. Go, see, and you will love it!

Fantastic staff helping me change my ticket last minute because of a private . The show was fantastic made extra special by the kool surroundings making you feel so close you were part of the show.

In Birmingham and looking for something to do. Saw the Matilda advertisement on TV and thought well community theatre, it might be fun. Having seen Matilda in London last year, we weren’t expecting much. A bunch of kids with their families making up most of the audience. We could not have been more wrong. First the theatre, it was small, which was good, we had been to Broadway touring performances in Atlanta where good seats are almost impossible to get outside of third party online hawkers like Ticketmaster so sitting in the stratosphere is not unusual.At this theatre I can honestly say there was not a bad seat in the house. We were in the 4th row from the back on the aisle and could not have been happier. The stage look nice, not as elaborate as London, but we didn’t expect it to be. Then the curtain came up. This performance compared very favorably to our London experience and in some ways we liked it better. The set was very good, but the acting and vocal performances were fantastic. I have never seen a community group perform to this level of professionalism. But that was not all, the dance choreography was unbelievable considering the large number of children involved. Nearly flawless execution with the timing and coordination that made you forget you were in Birmingham and made you wonder, as you left the theatre, how New York had gotten so small.So if you are in Birmingham and want to see a great show at a venue that gives you a great viewing experience, then check the website to see what is playing at the Red Mountain Theatre Company, you won’t be disappointed.

I love the performances of the Red Mountain Theater group. Their own location is very intimate, but also has some seating where it may have on obstructed view. I mush prefer their performances at the Dorothy Jemison Day theater. I have never been to a bad performance.

Came for the May performance of Little Shop of Horrors. The troup did an outstanding job, and had our sides hurting with laughter! The caberet style theatre had a great ambiance. Reasonably priced bar, and very well done sets and lighting. Im definitely coming back for more shows.

Great musical put on by high school kids. You can have drinks and all the goldfish you can eat. Seating is limited so one is never far from the stage.

Superb performance of My Fair Lady! Equals that of the Broadway shows at BJCC. The talent is unbelievable!

Wonderful intimate theatre space with bar and concessions. Large seats with side tables. No matter where you sit in this smaller, basement-feel of a theatre you can see the entire stage. I will definitely return for another enjoyable evening!

This is a great little theater in downtown Birmingham with top notch community theater performances. Highly recommended.

The production of the play Memphis was superb and the staff was very accommodating. This is a small intimate setting, seats 250 _ 300. Plenty of free parking.

First time to this theater, and what a fun night! Took my 94 year old mom to the Holiday Spectacular, and it was delightful! She loved that she could be so close to the stage! She said I could almost touch them!It was EASY wheelchair access, parking and seating! We will be back, and highly recommend!!

Just returned from seeing Mama Mia. It was so good that it’s hard to believe that this was a local production. The vocal talent was as good as any Broadway production and the theater has excellent acoustics. If you want to take a beverage into the theater, bring a cup with a lid.

The Color Purple was excellent!!! Kudos to the cast members. My only problem was my seat. The stool was so uncomfortable. My back hurt the entire show!!So if any member of the Red Mountain Theatre Staff happens to reads this review, a different stool would be great! The stools are very uncomfortable!!!!The people in my group that had seats in this area complained about the same thing after the show.

Mamma Mia was fantastic. Great singing and dancing - entertaining the entire time! Took my 14 year old and she loved it so that in itself should tell you how hard this cast worked!

Poor parking . You end up parking at a place a block away of closed buisness and get your car towed paying the scam artist city of Birmingham and Weil wrecker $465 dollars to visit your theater. Leaving a woman and child trying to find there car at night. Not worth patronizing your city.

Theres a lot of stuff to like here. The shows are high quality productions, the bar is reasonably priced, and who doesnt like free goldfish?

This is a great venue with free parking which is a plus. My only negative is the seats aren’t comfortable enough to sit through a 2 hour show. Especially if you have back or hip problems. Everything else was great!

The theater is clean and modern. The chairs are uncomfortable and poorly spaced. The sound is good but has some kinks. Lighting is just okay. The play is good and worth the money, but we had the worst seats in the house.
