Great place to take the kiddos to get some fresh air and get the wiggles out on a cold day. The enclosures are small enough that we got to see most of the animals up close.

Went there for a family treat and we were not disappointed! Every thing was clean and the flowers were beautiful. There were not too many people which was awesome and the animals were out and looked happy!

A small zoo for being a zoo, but a BIG zoo for Montana. Friendly enough staff. Unique animals, and great viewing spots to see wildlife from different perspectives. My kids loved seeing the grizzly bear, wolves, tigers, red pandas, and otters. Highly recommend the experience.

$11 admission, free parking. Plan on 1 1/2 hours maximum. The only bathroom and drinking fountain is at the entry/ exit/ gift shop. Easy to get lost and backtrack; recommend downloading a map.

Well laid out smaller zoo. Animals were well described and looked well taken care of. The bison are huge, the otters were playing the entire time. Siberian tiger was super cool. Nice walk through the park and never felt crowded.

Really hard to navigate. Do you go right? Or left?? However, the employees were nice and were happy to give us a group rate. (being a larger than usual family)

Just so relaxing and beautiful. could just spend forever here. perfect when they first open on a weekday if you want peace

Great Zoo with Great animals. Love how the peacock is able to freely walk around the zoo. Love the place been there 2 times and neither were unpleasant or bad experiences. But some rude guests have to ruin it like the first time we were there a dad and two kids were watching the wolves sleep and the dad want a picture of them tanking up so guess what they’d did picked up a few pebbles and threw the near them the wolves got up and moved farther back into the cage. But I got a Shaved ice from a really nice vendor how had to get to a children’s film festival and was rushing so he made one really quickly for me and we paid for it right as he left. :)

Its a beautiful place. Playgrounds were very nice. The grounds could of been manicured a little better.

Considering that this is Montana, this is a great zoo. Plenty to see, and some good interpretive signs. The tigers are always a big hit!

Weather was just right to see all the animals, even the ones who are usually hiding: bears, lynx, and red panda. Otters were extremely playful. Looking forward to seeing the sloth.

My family loves Zoo Montana! Its a great place to go when you need to get out of the house! Plus the flower gardens are so beautiful!!

Would have been nicer if they fixed their water lines for the tigers and others.

In addition to the wonderful animals, I really enjoy seeing the labels of different trees throughout the park. The garden was also lovely! The animals seem to be content and cared for. I love that.

It is a small zoo combined with a botanical garden. It is like a mini nature preserve. It was enjoyed pretty.

It is a small zoo but I seriously love how more of the natural environment the animals habitats are from others that I have seen. This is the only place vs Minot & Bismark where I can see the Red Pandas. Love the garden area as well. Great photo opportunities.

Its a zoo. They have been putting lots of money into it this last few years. Always adding stuff which is nice. You could go every few weeks and almost always see something new. They put on some 1 hour educational shows around 1pm on certain days, which is nice.

I enjoy coming to ZooMontana. This is a fairly small zoo, so dont expect to spend more than a couple hours here. Its mostly outdoors, so youll spend 90% of your time outside.

This is a nice little zoo, right off the highway, easy to get in and out of, good parking, nice gift shop, good walkable layout. Its not huge by any means and can be done in under 2 hours, but was just a nice stop for us, the bears were super neat

We came for the Halloween wagon ride, and we were not disappointed. :) We had such a great time, we are definitely planning on coming back for this next year! The whole thing was a total hit, and totally kept us on the edge of our seats. Not too scary for the little ones, but just scary enough to be a blast!!!! Our tour guides were absolutely excellent and he handled the horses very well. We felt extremely safe! The actors really got into character and overall I just think it was such a great idea for this Holiday. Absolutely loved the wagon ride. It is the last time of the year to do anything outside, so having the Wagon ride with real horses made it so exciting and unique. Keep up all the wonderful work ZooMontana!

I always love coming here for a walk. The animals are always so much fun to see. Every time I come here, there is always something new and improved. The grounds keepers keep the zoo in terrific shape and are very friendly and happy to help and share knowledge.

Members only night was not crowded for princess day and the was really nice. My only complaint would be that their were only 4 princesses. 2 years ago when we went their were quite a few more princesses. But overall our girls had a good time.

It doesnt have the most animals but they take good care of the ones they have. the animals were very happy and played pretty close to the windows most the time we were there. kids loved it

This was not the place i was expecting to see was able to walk the entire zoo with a 6 and 8 year old in just about an hour for the price it could of been a better experience very few animals were out or visible.

Lots of animals and good walking trail! Also has a preschool and great playground! Priced reasonably.

My family enjoys the zoo. Its a nice place for a half a day walk. Our favorite animals are consistently the tigers, bear, otters and kookaburra.

We took our granddaughter and we were able to see the bears playing in the water up close! The waterfall was running and it was beautiful!

Loved the animals saw all but the bears on this trip. Bring food though there is not a snack bar.

Was a fairly nice zoo, went in March and only 1 animal was out/ in its zone. Most of the animals were lively and seemed to be enjoying themselves. They also had a nice indoor area with reptiles and such. Not the biggest zoo ever, but is worth checking out if you have a couple hours to wonder around. Was also decently priced.

Really a great Zoo for a city the size of Billings. Well worth the trip out for some sun, exercise and animals. Reasonably priced as well.

Nice outdoors place, okay for canoe and fishing.

Went for my daughters birthday and all the animals were sleeping or hiding due to a late event they had the night before. I asked management for tickets to come back for a different date and she was very rude and not understanding at all. We will not be going back, huge waste of time and money.

It was a hot day so alot of the animals were sleeping but everything else was ok accept they took out the feeding boxes.

Nice Zoo although not that much to see and quite shy animals (or you could read big enclosures with more space than viewing angles). Reasonable entrance fee.

My toddler loved it! They caged were melted up and the animals were fairly active.I do wish they had food available because we would have stayed longer.

A good nature walk. Some animals despite the blistering heat of the day. Realistically. There are wolf, tiger, bear, musk oxlike, eagles, porcupine panting in the heat who needed water in his bowl. A red panda tail. Ton of cottonwood, lots of well marked trees and plants. Frustrated the water bottle machine to money but was out of water.

Its very laid back, very clean, animals are well taken care of, the staff are friendly. Prices are great and its a nice, quick getaway when we want to have a lil relaxing fun for a decent price in our town!

Cant wait to come back and see the Zoo again

Very fun for afternoon. They have really done a lot of work since I was there several years ago. The bison exhibit was really great and all the animals were out. Saw a sign for beaver but did not find them, wish the pond was full for the otters but still great after noon with my kid.

The animals all seemed very happy and well cared for!

Wonderful as always, grounds well maintained and displays informative. A lot of the critters were out of the hot sun. Winston the sloth was not on display yet, darn it anyway.

It doesnt have the most abundant animals or best facilities but it does the job. If youre just looking to spend at most 2 hours then this is definitely the place. It has plenty of spots to just sit and have a picnic.

Quaint zoo with very reasonable rates. It was a good walk to get my miles in. Loved the gardens with all the different flowers.

This is a small zoo with beautifully landscaped gardens. Not many animals but then again this is Montana and you need only venture outside to see an abundance of wildlife!

The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. My son had so many questions about the tigers, wolves, bears and even the red panda. They were so excited to see his enthusiasm, and super accommodating to our group! The amount of care and nurturing the facility provides to the animals is fantastic! I, personally, enjoy watching Jasmine the Tiger play with her sister and sun bathe like our cats! Our family enjoys ZooMontana each time we are able to visit! And for those heading to the mountains, the Wildlife Sanctuary in Red Lodge, MT is a lot of fun as well!

It was great most animals where out and about good time

It was terrible. We traveled a long way to come see the animals and all we saw was empty enclosures. Not worth the time or the money. The only animals we could see were goats and donkeys. Not really a zoo in my opinion.

Man this place is awesome. Super cheap to get into compared to most zoos in the United States, and has a pretty good selection of animals. Also the staff is incredibly friendly and willing to tell interesting stories about where the animals come from.

This place is great! Lots of animals to see and stuff for kids to do. While it was cold when we were here, and most the animals were sleeping, it was still super exciting to see what we could. Well definitely be back this summer :)

We has so much fun here. We rented a double stroller and I highly recommend getting one. It was $8.50 for the double and $6.50 for the single. We got to see so many animals.

This is a great home town zoo. The staff are very friendly and the animals are beautiful as well as they are kept in great health. This zoo is amazing for the help they provide to the animals they host seeing as quite a few were injured elsewhere and are taken care of at this zoo.

Always a fun place to go. They’re always changing an exhibit or adding new animals. Always something new to see!

Awesome always enjoy going with grandkids.

Such a cute little zoo and definitely family friendly. Animals are mostly rescued from circus and street performance type situations. Some of the raptors and birds were injured and cannot leave. Theres also a gorgeous garden here that is suitable for weddings.

Very clean, very friendly staff and great inexpensive way to spend a sat. Went during an event and had a great time. Looking forward to going again, this time going to get the family plan.

Amazing place! They have bears, a tiger, wolf, eagles, a hawk, otters, and others. We called the bear and he came over to see us. Its not that big no one should have a problem walking it but if you do they have wheel chairs available for rent (not motorized) that is one thing I feel they should change. Over all it was a good family experience

First off I want to say we ran into 4 staff members and each one was very friendly and very helpful. The gounds are really nice, there is a great play area for children and the attractions seem well maintained. However there is not a huge variety of animals to look at. Nice hike on nice trails. The only concessions are snow cones at the entrance and a few pop machines through the park. It would be nice if there were more concessions maybe a food vendor of some sort towards the back of the zoo. They have a souvenir shop but there is very little to choose from. Seems like they have some missed opportunities to bring in some revenue. Overall we had a good visit and the prices were reasonable.

Had a great time taking the kids to the zoo. Its nice to have a zoo in Montana. We lack so many things like this so not having to go out of state to see a tiger is pretty awesome. The presentation going on while we were there was very informative and engaging for the kids.

Great Family fun I have a season pass for the pass few years so worth the walks with my kids always something fun to see and relax!

Small but nice zoo. Most of the animals were active during my visit. There was plenty of room for future expansion. Price was reasonable.
