Such a historic and awesome place! The staff was super helpful, and full of local history and knowledge. Very cool static displays of planes and memorabilia of Webb Air Force Base. Beautiful location, and landscaping. Dont forget to check out the planes outside, and also the Vietnam Memorial.

Fantastic museum and staff. They were so welcoming. We stayed here through Harvest Hosts and loved it. Would stay here again. The museum is a beautiful restoration of the old AFB. Getting to go inside the cockpit of an old B-52 was amazing. Its a must visit museum if youre in Texas.

Beautifully restored hangar with an impressive array of planes and other war artifacts. My son loved sitting in the B52 Bomber! I loved the recreation of the chapel that included a massive stained glass window. Great gift shop and the hostess was VERY knowledgeable and friendly!

What a neat little step back in history!! We visited the museum in late afternoon. Martha was awesome. If you are in the area stop by and take a little trip back in time. You can walk the whole museum in about 20-30 minutes. Its definitely for military history buffs.

Really cool museum, staff is very nice and informative. Small place so you can see everything in less than an hour. You can go into the cockpit of a B52 bomber which was awesome. My 5 year old loved that. They dont have ac in the hangar so beware if you visit on a hot summer day. My son and I visited on August 10 and it wasnt too bad.Would definitely stop by again if Im in Big Springs.

This is a nice little museum dedicated to telling the story of bombardier and pilot training at Big Springs Army Air Field/Webb Air Force Base. The aircraft on hand represent the aircraft used for training from WWII to the Vietnam War. One of the best parts is the nose section of a B-52. You can climb up into the crew compartment through the hatch in the belly and actually sit at the crew positions.

For Harvest Host members this a great dry camp stop over. The air museum is interesting and you get to sit in a real B-52 cockpit along with viewing other training aircraft used to train pilots at the old Webb AFB.

There are World War II fighter planes in a huge, high ceiling hanger facility. There is a war plane for which visitors have access to sit inside the cockpit and experience the sensation of a real pilot. There are also a few fighter suits and other information on the planes. The staff is welcoming and friendly and they can see the politely. The place didnt get the fifth star because the location is not that easy to find. However, the search is worth it. You can bring your children and experience patriotism and instill a sense of greatness for our country. Its a good opportunity to remind everyone of our veterans.

We parked overnight in front of the Hanger 25 Air Museum and i had a great sleep. However the proximity to the federal prison could be offputting for RVers. the museum was not open when we arrived, but it looked really cool inside!
