I Didnt know this place existed I was driving down Mulholland drive and came across it. The good news is that we all can play a role in planting and caring for trees, restoring healthy soil, conserving water, and harvesting the rain. Quoted by Tree PeopleIts very relaxing. I saw people walking their dogs on the trails. I love that they are planting little trees around and in greenhouse. I didnt get the chance to see everything I will bring my family back and visit again.
Love it here so much! Beautiful views everywhere
Its nice to get out and walk around and feel like you are out in open while still in the city. Please people, keep dogs on leash and pick up your dogs poop! It would be nice if somehow more trees were identified by type and age.
An AWESOME hicking place! We went on January 1st, so there were a lot of people but otherwise a super nice place to hike for beginner thought intermediate levels. You can get purposely lost here for hours, and not mind one bit!
I love these trails. The trails are easy to follow and the landscape is lovely. You have some great views of the city here to get some panoramic shots! They have garbage baskets at every corner as you proceed down the path to keep things clean and picnic tables to have a lunch or snack. This path takes you through a neighborhood and leads you onto another trail after strolling through over to Coldwater Canyon Park, however, I am not sure if it loops BACK to the Tree People trail or you have to turn back to go to that trail. (?) People here are cordial. I appreciate the groups that come here. Nice, classy, nature loving people. Its about 6 miles from my house so we go whenever we can when long commutes are out of the question. Parking is tough though as you enter the Tree People entrance and it is a tight fit so be careful parking your car to avoid hitting pedestrians or the car. Coldwater Canyon has more parking should you run into probs parking but it all depends on where you prefer to hike. Mulholland Rd is confusing so pay attention to the entrance of your choice.
Great organization Check them out for volunteering, trees planting and fun time out in the nature
Great views of the valley. Incredible trails. Good people watching.
I always love the hikes here, they are so calm and peaceful. The best part is that they now have a healthy vending machine there. I was able to have oatmeal and a pressed juice from Pressed Juicery for lunch. It was awesome!
One of my favorite spots to refresh my thoughts and take a walk or picnic. I take my baby here and its usually pretty empty. theres people around but it feels like an escape. I love this place!
Tree People is one if the best hiking spots in Los Angeles! Love it
Great hike trails. Careful, there are some steep out and back trails so check the map.
Clearly one of this places’ employees/ volunteers has lost their damn mind. I parked my car in an unmarked area to check out a trail, only to be accosted by an employee about parking there. When I got in my car to move it, he started shouting and picked up a giant rock. Whether the rock was to bash my car in, or my skull, I don’t know. I did however take multiple pictures because I wasn’t sure whether I was hallucinating.
Tremendous location for hiking and more parking than Runhon!
This is a great organization doing amazing work for the environment in LA. I have been volunteering with them for over 5 years now. They have opportunities through out the week. The events are usually 3 hours max and family friendly. You should visit their website today and sign up for an event. Of course you can also donate monetarily which will be put to good use.
Great place to mediate and get away from LA in La
I love going here after a hike to do yoga at their outdoor amphitheater early in the morning. There are plenty if benches to stop at and water fountains for people and pets. Pets allowed, leashed only. Trails link with coldwater canyon park and Betsy Davis trails. Lots of ecological information too.
Great spot for a hike. Glad its here!
This places even makes the mountains look more beautiful.
One of my favorite hiking spot, its clean, easy, dog friendly, and really clean restroom. Unlike other LA hiking spot that are packed and loud, this place is actually quiet and tranquil.
Its really awesome place to go and relax
Great place to hike with children and small pets
Beautiful place for peace and serenity. Also a very nice little outdoor theater.
The TreePeople trail is a natural marvel in Los Angeles and I also found out that theres a real amphitheater in the woods!
Great place to go hiking, small easy, not too heavy. Beautiful to look at and walk your dog.
Peaceful walk w kids ,our favorite in town trail w many options..amazing job from the tree people workers volunteers, its so clean and protected..nice job
Love it. The tour guide was exceptional. It was very educational.
Beautiful location with great view and learning stations. Great for adults, kids, and tree hugers.
A great place for her hiking, staff is knowledgeable and diverse.
Beautiful hike. Bathrooms at start where you park. Can see entire valley.
Great place for a great hike with my dogs - just wish they would allow my two very well behaved pups off leash...otherwise perfect!
Very nice hike. Really great place to go. Never too crowded and much closer to me than Runyon.
Nice walking trails. I visited with a school field trip. Very friendly and kid oriented people.
Great place to hike and mediate.
Super nice and natural
Horrible organization, seems like they used to be good but Ive tried to get them to come out to multiple public school and awareness events and they use EVERY excuse in the book until the last day not to come out. They leadership and directors never get back to you until the last day and say they are booked! Yeah right! No more donations or being a member for TP anymore from me or my friends who are are also BIG time $$$ donators.
Perfect day. Amazing hiking.
You cant say enough good things about the TreePeople. Great park, great facilities, great people and great volunteers. Check out their Once Upon A Canyon Night program for local entertainment throughout the summer.
Wonderful non-profit, environmental organization. Hiking trails in great condition. But please, if you have a barky dog, leave it home, we dont prefer to hear it ricochet through the canyon.
Wonderful hidden treasure within Fryman hike Took the detour last week for the first time. Great addition to the mountain hike.
I love it!!! Nice view
Beautiful views. Well maintained.
Beautiful spot in the mountains of LA with views of the valley and the city, and its run by people promoting a great cause!
Great place to park your guests if you uave an event nearby
The best kept secret
Peaceful, nature walks all free as much fresh air as you need. Free parking lot if you can find a spot. About 100 car lot or so. Great people friendly and kind. Come enjoy and leave it as you found it.
Nice wide trail.
Support this amazing group of people!
It has beautiful views!
Beautiful scenery
Very peaceful and beautiful place
Great Hike!
I live in San Diego. I have repeatedly received paper mail from Tree People. I have given Tree People my email address. What is it that prevents Tree People from noticing that a citizen has repeatedly asked not to recieve any paper mail? I do not want to see any of your paper in my mailbox ever again.
Bad not bathroons open
Wen hicking with a friend! It was fun!
Wonderful resource for families, and great hiking too! It would be nice if developers and cities paid more attention to the power of trees and landscaping, but I guess concrete jungles are more cost efficient :(
Thank you Tree PeopleNice staff.Thank you Carlos
Beautiful, peaceful, loved it
Never too crowded places to sit and take in eith Nature or the City!
I had tried to set up a charity event with them and they never returned my calls. i left numerous voicemails and sent numerous emails and never received a call or email back.i was finally able to speak to someone after a month of trying and they said it was because the number i had been calling, that person is no longer with the company but if i had left a voicemail, someone would get back to me. the person i spoke to then gave me a new number to call just in case so i called the new number....still nothing.i want to make a difference and help out the city of los angeles, but its unfortunate that this organization was unable to get back to me...it is also unfortunate that the money we had raised and were planning on donating to them is now going to go elsewhere.
Scenic area to hike trails and enjoy the view of the mountains located on Mulholland Drive
Great place to run
Great relaxing hiking area
Really fun place to volunteer. The philosophy, administration, staff and the other volunteers are amazing.
Great experience all around. I volunteered to do some drought abatement and it felt great to actually do something than just sit around being depressed about the environment. I got a nice tan and a helluva workout too
Great little park for quick nature walks in town. Very well kept, peaceful, with a good view.
Tree People is The best park in LA. Nice staff and super easy to navigate!
I suggest just going to the trail entrance on Laurel canyon, the tree people side is crawling with large groups of kids blocking the trail and yelling.
Beautiful park nice place to go for a hike
Very nice people that do good work for LA.

Nice place to run
Good hiking place
I just love this place.
Email inquiry, no response, obviously and unsurprisingly, they didnt wantto be bothered; on the other, if message had been about a donation, that might have caught their attention.
