Nice spot - right off Evergreen. If you werent looking for it, you might not even see it!Great spot for a walk in the woods along the Rouge River (more like a big creek in this area) lots of beautiful wildflowers. Its unpaved and you might have to hop some fallen trees (which my kids love) but the paths are pretty clear - you could definitely skip hiking boots.
Natural park, mostly deciduous forest with trails along river. Trails are a bit rough for strollers or wheel chairs, but otherwise easy walks.
I love this place! The trails are great for younger kids. I’ve taken a 3 and 6 year old with no problems. You could not bring a stroller through the trails. It’s a great escape from reality. You will get muddy!
Beautiful path to walk beside the river. Caught a few nice size bluegill and saw a beautiful huge buck while walking.
Very small park. The nature trail is not the easiest to find.
Beautiful spot to go for a quick walk. Great spot for photo shoots! Also, my dogs loved swimming in the water. Highly recommend!
The place is beautiful with good trails but there are no boards or directions mentioned. Overall a good trail experience.
Lots of fun. Wear correct clothing if you plan to go off trail. Plenty of poison ivy.
Serene, a little overgrown and very limited parking on the road, but really liked it! Very quiet when I went on a Friday afternoon.
Great hike! Look our for poison ivy
A small peaceful place to take a stroll through the woods. No paved roads.
Absolutely Beautiful, great hiking trails for kids & dogs. Not many parking spots.
So beautifully peaceful. Great trails
This is an amazing place for a quick break. people bring their dogs and freq take them off leash so be aware. it can get very muddy on the loop trail in the woods.
Nice trails along river - not very large but good and nice scenery
Fantastic for bird watching. None of the trails are marked which makes for a very adventurous feel. Good climbing trees by the river. The only parking available is outside the front gate along the side of the road.
Great place to get lost for a couple of hours in natures beauty! Very large park with lots of paths to walk. Even saw a couple of deer! Really enjoyed sitting by the water and relaxing in the forest.
It is quite lovely. It is along the rouge river. We saw a duck, chipmunks, and pretty flowers. The actual walk takes only about 1/2 hour and the path was not well marked. Wear sturdy shoes and you may need mosquito repellent.
The trails can use a lot of cleanup...
We love this park and so does our dog. Wonder why they not plow the field.
Great for a couple hour hike. Has a stream running through it that connects to the Rouge River that winds through the preserve. It is lovely.
Great place to come and see the true meaning of nature!!
Great place to take your pup! You cannot park behind entrance gate though. There is a retention treatment facility back there. Theres only about 5 open spots to park your car on evergreen out side of gate entrance. Parking in the subdivision closest to the entrance is available as well.
Good views of the river along with nice paths
Great walk, wish dogs could be allowed off leash
It’s 8:52.. went to the park and it was closed
This place is really cool because its really quiet and not a lot of people know about it.
Peaceful and shaded
This is a very peaceful place. There is a gravel covered path into the main area, then you can go off on the trails. There is a running stream going through the area. Relaxing sounds of running water. Great place to walk the dogs, spot a few wildflowers and butterflies as well as listen to the running water. I didnt go too far because I had to park on Evergreen. The entry gate was closed. I was afraid someone might try to tow my car away. They did not :)
Rustic preserve. No trail markings.
Saw a bunch of deer today and felt like I had the whole place to myself. Love the seclusion, beauty, and privacy
Great area. Parking sucks.
Nice getaway from the city, even when its rainy lol
Beautiful place for walk or jog!
Beautiful area. Trails are not marked.
Amazing place for fall colors
Best short nature walk for the pups
Great place for a short hike along the river. Reminds us of hiking at the kills around Schenectady, NY.
Missing my baby and all the joy the DE Nature center giving and can do of mother nature
Pleasant park. Nothing special
Beautiful place with a trail along a small river
Its a amazing place to go hiking. Its not a huge place, but the sights are worth it.
Nice trails, a few too many fallen logs to jump/step/clamber over . . .
Great place to relax
Beautiful and great place to.take a walk with your dog
Drove here but found one entrance with the gates closed... is there another way to enter? I was disappointed really wanted to see some nature.
Much bigger than I expected, beware lots of poison ivy and poison oak!
It is a small nature preserve hidden within the neighborhood. A place for a beautiful hike along the small river.
Great place to walk the dog. Scenic trails on the Rouge River
Not a paved trail which made it more fun!
Beautiful walking trails
Lexi and I had a great time....
Beautiful!
Nice nature trail, but sometimes foul smells
Theres no parking lot. You have to park on the side of the road at a curve thats almost a blind curve.
What a great place to walk and relax.
Love this place, quiet, water, trees, prairie
Absolutely beautiful and serene!!!
Great scenery
Its peaceful
Deer, hawks, owls etc..
Fun place to walk with the kids.
