LOVED the Star Trek Discovery costume exhibit. It was wonderful to see these up close . I had no idea the fabrics were as lovely as they are in person. The amount of detail is mesmerizing. Deltas everywhere!Extremely friendly staff, and when I visited they were playing womens World Cup games in their well-sized (though over-air conditioned!) theater. Right after that, they played an episode from Voyager. It was hard to leave.

Wish I could give 3.5 stars. The staff here are incredible and very nice. I was hoping to have a more robust museum experience, but instead there are a few art pieces and an extensive video gallery. I could spend all day watching old and rare video from TV history. I wish there were more historical pieces like old TV guides, set pieces, scripts, stand alone video features, etc. It was decorated very much for the holidays and for selfies, but it could use a little more oomph, especially for the location. Perhaps more interactive such as Star Trek set piece for selfies, Sesame street background, Johnny Carson desk & mic, etc. Considering the cost is suggested donation, I think the Paley is a wonderful place and would recommend.

The Paley Center is an awesome place where fans of shows can see exhibits of items from those shows. I went for the Star Trek Discovery exhibit.

Excellent free exhibits are almost always available in the lobby and galleries. You get a close up view of costumes and props, and sometimes even immersive VR views of the sets.Upstairs theres a free viewing room where you can see rare kinescope recordings of early TV shows, most of which you cant view elsewhere. The Paley hosts many events where the public can meet the cast and creatives behind todays popular shows. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. And you can park free for two hours across the street under crate and barrel.A must-see stop for anyone visiting Beverly Hills.

I visited during the American Horror Story exhibit. It had a great flow and overall was done well. I ubered in as to avoid the hustle and bustle of Beverly Hills but I did see that there were several parking garages that had fairly easy access. Theres plenty to do around the center so its easy to kill a day there. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and plan on going again

Free parking downstairs off Santa Monica Blvd. Free entrance, so definitely stop by when in the area. 2 floors of exhibit space. Today was the Star Trek Discovery exhibit. Mice costumes and props on the first floor. Great concept art on the walls. The most interesting to me was the videos of the actors getting made up to look like Klingons and other outer world creatures. The latex appliances were also on display. It took us about an hour to cover it all.Very helpful staff as well. There was also a video of the LGBT movement in the theater and a couple of other displays elsewhere. Check out their website for what they have.

Meh. Granted, I went on the Wed. before T-giving, and attendance was light, but the place just doesnt celebrate TV the way it c/should. Yes, theres a huge screening room to catch a movie, and yes, thete are 95,000 TV programs in their archives, but the listening equipment felt old and the library was too small for comfortable sitting. Not to mention that the place was overrun with Xmas decor and Santa, in a place dedicated to the hugely successful Jewish guys of 20th C television. They should gather their endowment monies and bring in some real museum folk to upgrade and update their exhibits. (Whats your mission for the 21st C?) It could be so much more engaging and exciting and nostalgia producing!

I attended for an event after hours so Im not sure what this place is like in normal day to day scheduling.Very nice venue for pop up museums and temporary art displays.Only the first floor had an exhibit as of this past week on January 10th 2019. So, I did not have the chance to see the upper floors.Good for tourists if an exhibit is being displayed Id advise checking their website for schedules and info. The nearest parking structure is across the street from Paley Center with first 2 hours free after that its $3 for every 30 minutes maxing out at $22. (Prices could change of course giving accurate pricing to the date I attended.I did notice a sign that stated parking is $5 flat if you enter after 6pm though. One additional note the parking structure also has Chargepoints for EV vehicles I only saw about 6.

I Finally Visited The Paley Center For Media In Beverly Hills, California! The Paley Center for Media & Paleyfest Location, formerly the Museum of Television & Radio (MT&R) and the Museum of Broadcasting was founded in 1975 by William S. Paley and this very special place happens to be an American cultural institution in New York and Los Angeles dedicated to the discussion of the cultural, creative and social significance of television, radio and emerging platforms for the professional community and media-interested public. When I visited the museum back on Saturday, October 29, 2016, I was simply amazed to see the various types of entertainment exhibits. For example, I first saw the Wheel that is used on The Price Is Right and got to Spin The Wheel! It was Fun! They also had an old setting where you can stand behind the microphone and take pictures as if You were actually on the show!In My Case: I was on the show back in the year of 2000 with Bob Barker who was the host at that time and so this did bring back memories. They also had other Game Shows there as well such as Lets Make A Deal and there was a Special Promotion for The Young And The Resless.I even got to walk on the catwalk for The Bold And The Beautiful and view the cast for The Talk and pose with them if I wanted to.In Addition: They also have viewing rooms where You can watch thousands of television shows from the past which is really cool!Their staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable and I definitely recommend this museum if You like television shows, the entertainment business and want to learn more about them.Thank you.Sincerely yours,Howard Paul ShoreVisitor/HPS
