Fascinating displays! A small museum of just a few rooms, depending on the way theyve set up the displays, it packs a lot into a small space. Highly recommended and most enthusiastically!

I really am sorry to be a downer but this Museum sucks. It is literally one room with a partition in the middle that you walk around. The only thing worth seeing there is Ishis artifacts, the Egyptian sarcophagus and the Greek pottery.I didnt mind spending the $6 a person to go see ishi artifacts however, they dont have them all out. That was the only reason we went to this Museum. At the time I was there they only had out the arrowheads he made of glass. The funny thing is theres a sign on the wall talking about how they have 3.8 million artifacts. When we asked for these were, we were told they were under the museum and they only bring them out from time to time.We were very disappointed. Im sure glad we didnt drive farther than we did to go here.

Interesting exhibition if a bit abbreviated.

Hoped to see some artifacts from their extensive polynesian collection but the current exhibit featured just one kava bowl. And this with a questionable explanation: the chord was used to hang it up when not used - ? To my knowledge it resembled an umbilical chord connecting the participants of the kava ceremony spiritually with the gods.

After such a long time being closed for remodeling you would think the museum would be bigger. However, it seems smaller than before. The old gift shop with the folk art is gone too. It’s a shame they don’t display more of their huge collection for the public to see.

I checked their schedule, when I reached it on Wednesday 2:30 pm they were closed even though on google and on their website there was no warning of any closure

Worth seeing if you have nothing else to do.Very small museum with no real theme. The curation really needs work. Some interesting pieces but the presentation seems contrived in a bad way. Feels like a bunch of Berkeley students went on a backpacking trip without knowing that they will be forced to put pieces for this museum.

I enjoyed the museum. Each exhibit was arranged as a class assignment with a written description followed by questions asking for different interpretation s

All the people are great. Wish the space was bigger so they could more objects on display from their massive collection.
