This is a beautiful nature preserve. It does tend to be highly trafficked. Your best bet is to go early morning as most show up after ten in the morning. The main, paved, path is wheelchair friendly. There are smaller, unpaved trails filled with tree roots and rocks but otherwise traversable. You are required to wear a mask right now, as the entire state is. Dogs are not allowed. No nature preserve allows dogs as they disrupt wildlife. Autumn foliage is beautiful here. You will hear the train and cars as the park is on the small side for a nature preserve. We pretended passing car sounds were ocean waves.

Love this place. We have been here for a hike and visit the visitor center about 5 times. We still can not believe there is such a lovely forested area with all the wildlife right off of TV Highway. The paths are all wide, well groomed and either paved, dirt or decking. Highly recommended.

Nice natural Oasis in Beaverton. Ive lived in Portland all my life and this was my first time here. It was a little busy but everyone was pretty good about social distancing and wearing masks. We saw herons and yellow throat birds. Some of the dirt side trail looks are one way traffic for social distancing because those trails are much more narrow. We had a nice relaxing walk.

Crowded, which isnt as great during a pandemic, but its easy to find side paths (or to just wander aimlessly and be happy you have GPS) and the woods are really beautiful. Noise is a bit of a problem because of the bus garage and the max stop in the immediate vicinity. I have seen tons of deer early in the morning, though, so its still full of amazing wildlife. I like approaching from the max station better than the parking lot personally. The main paths are marked well and because they are paved they are accessible for a wide variety of wanderers.

One of the best nature trails in the Portland metro area. Many trails have been converted to one way, allowing for social distancing. The public restrooms are closed due to the Covid crisis. There is a lot of parking, and a lot of people use the trails. It was a little too crowded for my taste, people talking on their phones and riding bikes, but it was a Sunday afternoon. Perhaps other days would have fewer people.

Beautiful fall day to enjoy well marked trails, and we and the public very thoughtfully wore masks, kept our distance, as signs also reminded us, while walking or jogging. We saw several seniors enjoying the trail as well as younger families. We had a wonderful stretch of the legs on the Vine Maple Trail. So very fortunate to have such a large, well planned, wooded recreation area close to home!

Decent size park with tons of side walking trails, some paths were blocked off for social distancing so you werent forced to walk by others constantly and nice shaded park perfect for hots days like when i went. My boyfriend and I liked the park and had a small parking area for easy access. I would recommend going to the lily pond or lake (cant remember the name) it had a nice sitting area in the shade where you could watch ducks and wildlife and chill.

A great community asset, this park offers multiple trails (both paved and natural) and offers towering trees, a huge variety of ground vegetation, and multiple water features. On any given visit you can enjoy bird songs, and a variety of local residents including squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, frogs, the occasional garter snake, and other local critters. The quiet and serene walk is a free Dawn to dusk pleasure...

Excellent park normally, well done during the pandemic. Trails are about 50/50 one-way and two-way traffic. The main through fare is two-way with most of the side loops being one-way. Masks still recommendex, but theres space to socially distance without too much trouble. The paved path is lovely for strollers, and when you hit the dirt section worth turning around with a stroller. The center itself is currently closed (pandemic) but their programs have been awesome in the past.

The Tualatin Hills Nature Park is an excellent place to go for a hike. I have always enjoyed this park since I discovered it a few years ago. I think it’s awesome that there’s a nature park in the middle of the west side suburbs, full of busy roads. Once you have taken a hundred steps into the park, it is easy to forget where you are and just disconnect and be with nature. When COVID-19 started, I was initially nervous to go back to the nature park, as it is full of narrow trails, making it difficult to keep a safe distance from other hikers. However, when I decided to give a try, I was pleasantly surprised that THPRD has made many of the trails that are narrow, one-way. I now feel completely safe walking through the nature park, and if I suspect it to be a busy day, going through wearing a mask is more than enough comfort for me to feel safe. The only downside to note is that dogs are not allowed at the park. This of course helps preserve the beauty of the nature park, but it is definitely worth noting if you were planning on taking your dog with you on your hike.

More hiking. There is a family of deer in there( if you can find them), garder snakes, rabbits, turtles, and the usual forest critters. It can get busy on the weekends and lunch time though. Be weary if you want to have your space from people during covid times. They did make up for it by making some of the skinnier trails one way. The main paved paths are dual direction and puts you closer to other walkers. Wear a mask if we are still deel in covid19

Lovely slice of Nature in Beaverton. Beaverton did a good job with its park planning. Good trails, large trees. Places to rest or snack. One criticism: the western edge of the park doesnt connect the north trails to the south trails, so you either just have to turn around, or go out on 170th to make the loop and theres no sidewalk and barely a shoulder on that road.

I was disappointed with the education center which is definitely geared toward young children but with very little available for adults. The paths are well marked and pleasant - great photo opportunities. I was there on Mothers Day and it was so busy that very few birds were available, but when its quieter the wildlife is easier to spot and photograph. The greenery was wonderful and I took many pictures.

So many friendly happy families enjoy this park! Do be aware, not everyone knows its a dog free park. Sometimes people enter the park from other access points with their dogs. Sometimes they are off leash. Most of the time people are considerate. Also theres no smoking in the park for obvious reasons. This owl picture was taken at another Park but there is an active barred owl that likes to swoop down sometimes.

What a beautiful park. I love the dirt trails for running. A small haven of true wilderness within the ever expanding Portland metro area. The only real drawback is that you have to leave the dogs at home, but this is part of how they keep the park safe for wildlife! As the rain starts to get more frequent, be sure to wear waterproof shoes, even if you stay on the paved trails. Nature reigns supreme here, so mud-safe clothing is encouraged September-April.
