Easy to find, decent parking, maybe a 10 minute hike to the water fall. The pool to swim in is a little shallow, maybe like 57 ft deep at the deepest part. Unfortunately, it can get a little busy and people do like to force you to listen to their music. Overall a good time

The scenery is beautiful and it is a great little nature area.As with any public location your experience will be impacted by your fellow visitors. As soon as we approached the Falls we were met with a strong odor of marijuana. That smell dissipated but the presence of tobacco smoke was ever present. It was still a great visit.

Super cute little area! Perfect for a little swim, picnic or short walk! Two Notes:1) There is limited parking. We had to park at the church and walk down! It was perfect for some outside time.2) On the right side of the fall, along the walkway, is a lot of broken glass. You need to be super careful, but can easily avoid.

It is probably good if you live nearby but dont spend any time to drive there. It is a small park (like 5 minutes of walking) surrounded by highways and railroads.

Pretty falls very close to the highway. Popular spot with a lot of visitors and overflow parking at nearby church. Trail is very short with a steep drop to ravine in spots, making hand holding a must with little kids. Large boulders to climb. A few spots to access the water, all of them tricky. Train tracks nearby and a picnic area. Some pretty ferns, Mayapples and Solomons Seal spotted. Felt a bit overcrowded and not a top choice for our family.

Right off the toll road and a nice place to stretch the legs but broken glass bottles and graffiti triggered this 3 star review.

Although there is a short path between lower and upper parking areas, the fun is climbing down to the water over huge bolders. Watch your step, this isnt a North Park trail.

Nicest waterfall in the Beaver area that I know. Well marked from highway, pretty easily access, moderate walk up trail with beam-steps. No facilities.

Not much of anything here besides the waterfall. Lots of graffiti. Trails are easy but the place can use a general sprucing up.

I remember going to Buttermilk Falls as a teenager. Absolutely beautiful. Im currently living in Houston (city life) and miss the natural beauty of Pa.

This is a nice, shady park with a short trail thats family friendly. The waterfall is very pretty. There is very little parking right near the entrance but there are a couple of spaces up the road a bit.

Great little falls with a swimming hole water is very cold but had a great visit definitely recommend it to anyone interested in going. You can park at the church at the top of the falls but to reach the water you have to walk the trail down the hill that is steep at the bottom or you can park at the bottom of the hill at the Port of potty and follow the trail it does have some stairs but not alot that is were we parked so we could change clothes. and there is a little cave on the right side of the falls just climb up the ledge and go in the little crack on the right about 30 feet and it opens up into a small room.

Very short walk to the falls, not a wheelchair friendly path. You are able to walk under the waterfalls. My granddaughter loved going, it was a very warm day and she definitely cooled down.

The natural beauty and the sound of the water is so relaxing.

Da
Review №26

This place is a great natural area, but people are really starting to abuse the hell out of it. Between unsightly, not even remotely creative graffiti, to the broken glass and garbage everywhere, I cant see myself going back there any time soon. Also, some idiot is going to die there some day. People jump off that cliff as they face a sign that clearly says no jumping. :-(

Pretty easy walking, parking across from the church a no-brainer. its cool and shady walking on the trail up to the falls. The lower parking lot you more walking .I can certainly see why this Would-be a very popular swimming a hole for the locals on a really hot day. Even though I would consider this early in the year, there are mosquitoes and plenty of poison ivy right next to the trail .

El
Review №45

The waterfall was so beautiful! It had a pretty steep incline you had to go down, but it has a rope with knots in it so its very helpful. You can swim in the small lake the falls creates which is very cool, and very blue! There is a ton of hiking trails that are fun to explore. The only thing disappointing is that theres a lot of broken glass around the falls, and on the trails. If someone went out and helped clean up it would make it a perfect little spot to hang out, read a book, and just soak up some good views!

Overall it’s a nice place to visit once but I probably wont revisit. The area is quite littered from parties and the general pubic. I wouldn’t suggest swimming in the water. I would suggest proper shoes as the rocks can be slippery and it’s difficult to walk in some areas.

GORGEOUS but dirty. Litter includes shattered glass and liquor bottles which are dangerous if youre bringing kids

Av
Review №63

The falls and nature itself is beautiful, but like everyone else has mentioned, the broken glass is everywhere on the trails, so it’s not dog friendly, it’s obviously a huge party area there’s litter all over the place and it smelled like pee really bad by the falls and inside caverns. Careless humans ruined a beautiful place nature made us.

Not a lot of parking. Its a short walk to the falls. The walk could be a little treacherous but not a bad place to stop.

Ku

Its not really a park as much as it is a trail to the falls. The path was nice and there is a spot to sit and watch the falls but not much more.

Je
Review №69

This is a decent waterfall and less than a mile from exit 13 of the PA turnpike. From the turnpike head south and immediately look for the Buttermilk Falls sign on the right. Limited parking. A short hike and your there. I would not go out of my way but if you need a quick diversion while driving jump off the toll road you will enjoy.

Beautiful! I cant believe it took me 30 years to find this place and its only 20 mins away from home. Loved hiking the trails, easy to hike in and beautiful scenary. Loved going to the top of the waterfall and the bottom. Cant wait to swim in the swimming hole next summer and under the waterfall cause all the times Ive gone it was too cold for swimming.
