I’m so frustrated! Trying to take care of a bill we have and get the run around. Called them on Sunday knowing they were closed and left a message. They never called back. I had to call them today. Only for the girl to tell me she doesn’t have any information. They sent it to a collections agency. So I call the collections agency and they have nothing on file. This is a joke all I want to do is that care of my bill

If I could give negative 10 stars it wouldnt even be enough. I have been harassed and insulted by Jason King the owner. I have gone through every channel to voice my opinion and Outdoor Adventures just blocks me. I am unfortunately a member of this fraud committing place as I was scammed as well, I WANT OUT! They have a D- rating with the Better Business Bureau and their accreditation taken away. The attorney general of Michigan has an investigation going. Join the class action and get your money back. All this while Jason King sits high and mighty at 1940 8 Mile Road, Kawkawlin, MI 48631 laughing at every dollar he takes from Michiganders.

Expect a pressured sales pitch, just like timeshares. Their contracts are air tight, so be sure its what you want to do, both now and in the future. It is reassuring that your contract can include the ability to sell your share down the road should you no longer wish to use their campgrounds.

You should have the option of 0 stars because that is how I would rate you. Had reservations in a cabin for 4 nights-said we only made it for 3 nights but yet charged credit card for 4. Customer Service at Corporate is terrible. This is not the first time they have put the blame on everyone else except themselves. No apology-no trying to work it out. Apparently they need to train their staff better to make sure they are making the correct reservations in the system.

Less than 0 stars, here are a few of the issues. This company is A RIP OFF. For one they do not have a cancellation policy. When we looked into it the only cancellation policy they have they tell us is the one that is in Michigan! Who knows what that is? Well it is only 3 days! Shortly after been talked into this membership my husband experience blood clots and ended up in ICU. I developed joint issues with my knees and hands. These two physical issues makes it impossible to camp in a camper or a cabin. We have tried numerous times to get out of this membership, with no success. They recently sent us a letter to meet with members to discuss complaints. It specifically states in this letter, If you are not currently using your membership, you may want to discuss your options to no longer be members with us. After I took time off work, (my husband does not work, is disabled) travelled an hour and a half, the salesperson tells us the only way you can get out is to sell your membership, however the type we have we cannot sell! The salesman also tells us that there isnt anyone else to talk to just this DeeDee lady who works in Human Resources. She called and spoke with my husband, was VERY RUDE and said that there isnt anyway that you can get out. SO FAR WE HAVE SPENT OVER $9000.00 FOR NOTHING AND THEY DO NOT CARE. PLEASE DO NOT GET SUCKED INTO THIS SCAM.

If you pay for a service and you dont like it you should be able to get some refund and they give you 3 days from the date you sign or initial over 30 spots. We only used the membership once and it was last summer, the campsite smelled of sewage and the anual dues are more costly than a few weeks at a state park.

Different rules for different people. It must be who you know. Have always been told NO SAVING SITES, yet watch it happen EVERY time we camp. Hoping my nephew could camp by us but continue to watch other campers save the sites for their guests and nothing is ever done. Following rules here gets you NOWHERE. They obviously like their regulars

The management is awful and I would highly advise anyone considering a membership to take your money elsewhere. The so called security guards at resorts chose certain sites to target and leave other sites alone. We happened to be camping at the rifle river resort this past weekend and I’m not sure if it is because we had an African American friend with us or what but the security wouldn’t stop harassing us and it caused us to end our camping trip short by 2 days and pack up and leave at 11pm on my wife’s birthday. When I y corporate this afternoon they did not care at all about our feeling of safety. This was from the director of member services as well. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I would not recommend this company. They do not care about their customers concerns and make up lies and excuses behind problems. We have been waiting on a call back from the Director of Membership services for over a month. Only to call again and they have no idea what we are talking about. Stuck in a membership to a place I will not go to anymore because of the horrible staff. I cant wait to see your guys response yet again about how you are looking into this.

Very long time member of Outdoor Adventures & I wish I could GIVE my membership away, I can’t even do that. The customer service is TERRIBLE, the staff are rude & dismissive. The parks are never fully operational & there are never enough full hook up sites, I’m paying for an indoor pool at the Lakeshore Resort, will it EVER be complete? Grand Haven ladies in the office are rude. I could go on and on. I have made complaints to just be told the “owner doesn’t speak to members.” I’ll continue to use my membership, because like I said, I can’t even give it away, but they really need to do something. The idea is brilliant I love having the membership just UPDATE YOUR CAMPGROUNDS give your members what they pay for, and ANSWER THE PHONE & not be rude maybe?

Receptionists are rude each time I try to make a reservation. For a $10,000 life time membership you get turned away because they do not have enough accomodations, but continue to add on new members. Dont waste your money.

For a place that says its family oriented that is not the case been a member for one and a half years only been able to stay three times I had a heart attack last year out of the three times I had problems with two of them the last one was enough Im canceling my membership.My daughter made reservation to stay at a camp site with her friends for the first time after driving two hours they told her she made the reservation in my name and that she called she told them she did it on line and then they said yes online so I called to see what we could do (Michelle) TOLD ME THAT I HAD TO DRIVE TWO HOURS TO CHECK IN.and that I had to stay.I told Michelle I had a heart attack and I cant drive she said well what are going to do she said if I cancelled I would have to pay $50 and if they had room my daughter could reserve a sight.I told her I would figure it out she called the camp and told them to kick my daughter out.That is not right so I drove 2 hours just to check her in.

Well it was an aggressive sales pitch and as soon as we said no we were treated completely different... suddenly went from nice and accommodating to rude and short.

Our experience at the resort in Davidson a few years back was great! I called to make reservations to the Bay City,MI branch to get more information about prices and location and your customer service representative that answered was just the rudest person ever! She absolutely had an awful attitude and I received nothing from my phone call. You need someone with people skills,not someone who is rude. 2/7/2019

My family have been members to Coast to Coast since the 80s. We were a charter member at Smokerise member #31. We joined before they had anything but primitive sites. When Smokerise closed and Outdoor Adventures bought it we were offered a membership. There are both good and bad with the memberships. With that being said, our family does enjoy our membership. We have 3 kids who grew up camping in Davison and now we all enjoy camping all over MI and also in OH.

This is the second time, I am very disappointed and discussed with the company. I pay my due date and fees. First time I had reservations and when I got there they didnt have any openings. Told me to either go somewhere else or come back tomorrow. Today I asked to have my camper pulled out of storage and was told to come back. Driving back home are you going to reimburse me for my time and gas? I see why this company is being investigated by the attorney general. Called them back like they asked no answer or call back. Go figure!

They put membership on hold because for five years since divorce and knew I was divorced but now want to force one of us off and cite their contract. That they don’t follow my daughter cried because she was unable to have her birthday there like she does every year! I paid for this membership and you put on hold so we can’t go but want dues!!! BEWARE - SCAMMERS. These people flat out lied to our face during the sales pitch. They use high pressure tactics telling you, if you dont decide now you wont get this pricing! Now they are trying to get us to pay ANOTHER $9,000 to get us part of what they promised us in the first place!! There has to be more reputable places out there not resorting to high pressure sales tactics that are also flat out lieing to you.Dont trust this company!!

This company gets one star from my family. Corporate customer service is EXTREMELY rude and their stiff policies make enjoying the membership difficult. It all sounds great on paper but using it is AWFUL and so inconvenient. While I wish we wouldnt have signed up at all (Ill say, the salesmen are very good, very convincing), Im glad we only got the 2 year sample membership. We will never use Outdoor Adventures again and definitely will spread the word to fellow campers. The final straw to that decision was an attempt at canceling a reservation. $50 to do so last minute. On a weekend they wont be remotely close to full, and due to an emergency with my husbands job (which I can provide them proof of), we will not physically be able to come up. Still charging us the fees. Weve already paid the membership off, so weve paid more than enough to cover the space, yet they have got to get their nickels and dimes in. And the attitude I was met with on the phone was unacceptable. The manager was worse than the customer service rep.We also have had poor experiences in finding appropriate lots for our camper due to their reservation system. You cant pick the lots until you arrive, so we literally had to squeeze in to a tiny lot because they were so full. They romanticize the idea of having so many lots to choose from, but the actual implementation is horrible.DONT FALL FOR THE SALES PITCH! ITS NOT WORTH IT. I know more people who regret their memberships than who actually enjoy them. It looks great on paper but thats it. Their salesmen are reeeeeeally good at sugar coating everything, but in reality, its just rotten. DONT BELIEVE WHAT THEY TELL YOU AT ALL.

I understand rules are rules, but when an emergency type situation comes up you would think they could accommodate their members as long as they had space. Nearly $18,000 spent to beling here and a person cant even stay 1 night, on a reservation they already had, but left early because of other obligations. Driving the car towing right now is not safe, to bad this company cares more about their wallet than their members.

When we got our membership we figured out after we left that we couldnt really afford there price called them up to cancel they said its been 4 days you only have 3 days to cancel if you dont pay we will sue you for your assets and sell them off to get our money.they are nothing but con artist. My husband and I went to a presentation in Wapakineta in December of 18. We were taken for a ride. They flat out lied to us. I repeatedly told them I wanted nothing in my name,as I am not working. The sales girl told me I had to fill out a paper to do a background check. Somehow this turned into a Good Sam revolving credit card in my name. Not my husbands. The purchase was cancelled, as we were also told there was no guarantee of anything as far as camping anywhere in the US by Coast to Coast. The office in Bay City was cooperative and cancelled and refunded the account. Very nice people there. But, the marketing department very scetchy. Be careful!!!

Tried to set up a payment plan with these ppl.... was told no unless I had a significant down payment after offering them twice as much..... have contacted the BBB and the Attorney general office who has filed a letter of intent against this company as of August 7th 2019.....I have also called the Attorney general office who informed me to file a complaint which I intend to do...... if you are having trouble with Outdoor Adventures I suggest that you do the same...... this place is ridiculous

This place doesnt care about its members. Yet, they want their money. Members are only butter to their bread. Membership doesnt give anyone a say about anything. They change rules and regulations tax their members for cancelling reservations (Heaven forbid if youve an emergency then you have to pay them for late cancelations), they removed the prorated storage fee which should be its not fair to the member that stores 1 - 2 weeks to pay for a full month, the grass/weeds arent even controlled for the first weekend of the season, only 1 bathhouse on nthe southshore because their timing isnt appropriate. No indoor pool. Davison is a JOKE

Warning!! Do not buy a membership in Outdoor Adventures Resorts! They are in a mode of changing the contracts at any time they desire. They are now charging for cancellations even though the membership dues are paid. They still get the same amount of money whether you are onsite or not. Cancellation fees are just another rip-off of members.Still not happy about the cancellation policy. Outdoor Adventures office did contact me. She said that the person that we talked to in reservations was supposed to waive the cancellation since we had proof of our breakdown in Florida.

Spent a Saturday afternoon listening to a kid trying to convince us by telling story after story about how successful he was. Dude, your hawking timeshares for a campground on a Saturday afternoon in mid January when its 14 degrees outside in Michigan. Can’t think of a much worse job senerio.If these are the best people this company can come up with and put out front to represent this company, I want no part of it.And for the record, you lost the sale 2 minutes into your presentation after you told us the same story twice about how you played basketball with some MSU basketball players. So truly disappointed in the process of reservation. After being on a waiting list we were notified 3 days prior to our trip we were able to get in. I called not 24 hours later to ask if I could cancel the reservation (no excuse given) and was explained that there was no way they could waive the 50.00 fee. The manager, whose name I could not even understand due to the fact she answered the call on speaker phone was as unhelpful as she could possibly be. She finally explained that is proof be shown and there was a certain circumstance that they would consider waiving it. I said yes that is actually why I cannot go and explained my sons currently wearing an EEG cap with 30+ wires monitoring his brain. She then told me that was invalid due to coming up with that excuse after the request of canceling. I told her I could provide pictures and Dr.s proof. not willing to reconsider. I truly had no intention of explain a personal description of my sons ailment to cancel a reservation that there is a month long waiting list for. I understand policies, but there is 0 consideration. Felt like I was accused of a mistake. Frustrated I asked to be given information for a sale of my membership. I literally paid my 400.00 yearly due days ago and use your facility MAYBE 6 days a year. Very disappointing the place seems to have gotten so large that customer service is in the garbage. Just be prepared for the We have thousands of members and dont need you 10 year member****** update*****Worse customer service EVER!! I cannot believe this could not be resolved. I called multiple time to management only to receive bill collection calls in return rather than management returning calls. A threatening letter about recovering their legal fees. I paid the late fee today under duress. This place has sucked the fun out of recreational camping as it is a corporation now with little to no care.

Have been a member for almost 5 years and Im not impressed. Not sure where the money I pay for dues go because most of the resorts need road repairs and pool/hot tub repairs. The security staff in Standish makes having fun in the pool impossible. We have named it the no fun zone.

I filled out their entry form to win a prize at the fireworks festival. Then I got a call from someone saying that I am a finalist in the contest after they verified all my information. Then it was very apparent that theyre trying to get me there for a high-pressure sales pitch and that I probably didnt win a damn thing. Dont ever enter one of their contest its just a scam to get you in for a high-pressure sales pitch. I used to live in Florida so I know all about that with the timeshare condo scams.
