What an incredibly beautiful park! While I was there wedding photos were being taken as well as some other photo shoot with models. The trees are old, lush, and large and the flowers are vibrant. I would love to see it in the Summer! Absolutely stunning! A must see! My pictures dont do it justice at all!

Very nice park to take a walk in. A lot of history and really wonderful to read about the different monuments and buildings. I feel like this is a hidden gem within the city and definitely recommend anyone visiting the city to stop by and enjoy the park.

Arsenal park is beautiful. The live oaks keep it shaded and there are always birds and other wildlife around the lake.

It is a very pleasant walk near the Capitol where you can watch the squirrels eat and chase one another.

This is a very lovely and well kept park, they had a nice display out for Memorial Day. It would be a great place for a stroll with a date or to enjoy a nice picnic lunch. There was plenty of free parking nearby on a Friday at late morning, and of course the towering Capitol Building dominates the sky and makes for a nice visit to overlook the park from the observation deck.

Its a nice place for a quick stop in a sunny day. The few times Ive come theres quite a few people taking prom/wedding pictures. The arsenal is usually closed about two hours before the actual posted time on slow days.

Lovely and largely overlooked park in the Capitol Park district. Beautiful landscaping, lovely lakes (when the water is up), and plenty of wildlife for those interested in seeing it. Well worth a visit.

So much history at such a lovely place

Beautiful place located in the downtown part of Baton Rouge. The fort is really interesting and its within walking distance of the capital building which is a marvel of its own.

I showed up too late and the museum was closed, but I did walk the park. Great views of the lake nearby and lots of easily readable historical markers in the area. The park was well maintained.

Well-kept park maintained by the state. Nice quiet place to walk and get some great views of the new state capitol. Flows into historic Spanish Town so walking both is easy.
