Wondeful and adventurous experience!! A very short hike but the ladders, narrow passages and almost vertical climb makes the hike a very interesting one. Not for kids and pets for sure as the warning board says at the bottom. You can cover a loop where you take the adventurous climb while going up and come from the other side where you get to see the bowl/pond and a few more beautiful spots with a very easy trail to come back at the bottom.

This trail is so challenging for many people. If you are not afraid of heights, please do it. The view up there is extraordinary.

Short hike packed with adventure. Vertical climb on the steel rugs is the best part. Not very crowded. Moderate hike which can be completed within 2 hours (considering youre not afraid of heights).Great spot for sunrise - no crowd, so get good spot. No issue with parking, no reservation needed. No entry fee. If you cant get reservation for Cadillac mountain or dont want to pay to watch sunrise then Beehive hike is the best alternative ;)

Short but steep hike. It has metal handles in the rocks, so you dont need any additional equipments to get there. On the way there it has few amazing views. And definitely on the top of mountain you will enjoy the nature. Its one of my favorite hikes.

Short and thrilling steep climb. My 6yr old was able to use the metal handles to ladder-climb the steepest sections with a bit of cautious assistance. Recommended for those without great fear of heights - there are narrow ledges and lots of dont look down! moments in this exciting trail!

Great trail - mix of a little adventure in the vertical climb and great views at multiple points. I got there early (off the 8 am shuttle) so no one ahead of me on trail, but I could see how it could get bogged down by people hit by nerves or people taking children. Those afraid of heights (kids or adults) should be judicious.

The cliff ascent on the beehive loop is the best trail in acadia.

Exhilarating! Very doable but it definitely requires something of you in the best way. Extravagant beauty!

Took the bowl trail up the backside of beehive. Same great views but 50% less sketchy!

Not boring in the slightest, after walking along a bumpy wide path it starts going pretty steep. great hike.

Very fun and unusual hike. Short but somewhat strenuous for those who are not fit. Definitely worth doing if you are not afraid of heights and looking for a quick challenge.
