This is a lovely outdoor location tucked into the west side of Greater Austin close to the junction of FM2222 and Loop 360. Bull Creek runs through the park, providing water for wading, dogs, kids and whatever else... Its up to you. Set amongst some huge live oak trees, there are several paths to walk for those who feel like some exercise. Enjoy the pics, they give you some idea of the place. Incidentally, I was there today and they are working on a number of improvements at the park right now.

It was a nice mellow hike along a waterway. some of the trails are tight, only allowing room to walk in single-file. its family-friendly - there were several enjoying dips and playing in the water. there are signs posted encouraging folks to leave nature as it was found, so if you bring a pet, bring poo bags too, and if you bring food, etc., bring trash bags/removal bags, because there are bo trashcans along the way.

Bull creek is a great place to come chill on a warm day. Bring a little beer and relax. The only downside is that when water levels are low the water gets a bit mucky. On it’s good days it’s a great spot!

When you come here, its hard to believe that you are just five minutes from Domaine. Many people write that this place is a paradise for dogs. But I also add that this is also a paradise for small children who do not yet know how to swim, but already love to splash in the water. The stream is shallow, clean and warm. It is very picturesque due to the rocks and nearby hills covered with trees. Probably the perfect place for a picnic and unity with nature. My favorite place in Austin. I recommend heartily

This is a wonderful place for families to visit. Different levels of water throughout the creek and tons of natural beauty to behold. Ive only experienced the water getting up to waist level but the water was nice and cool which is a great escape from the Texas heat. Best of all it is free! I just suggest going early (around 8-9) so that you can get a parking spot and claim your area to relax at.

Loved this park! The trails run right along Bull Creek which is nice and wide, with lots of water and small waterfalls throughout. We only did about a 4 mile loop hike but there were plenty of places to dip your toes into the cool water (or just jump in, if you came prepared with a swimsuit ).Lots of small parking lots along the trail as well.As mentioned, the creek was pretty full but there were plenty of places you can cross along the stones. Alternatively, do bring water shoes. It was a good mix between shady and sunny sections along the trailWe didnt have any animals with us but quite a few dogs running around. Will certainly be back with towels and proper attire next time so we can take a dip after a nice hardy hike

I love that this park has gorgeous natural views in the middle of the city! Much of the trail is alongside the water, and if youre willing to walk across in shallow areas you can also cross to hike on the other side of the stream (so consider wearing water shoes, or at least shoes with good traction for walking on slippery wet rocks). You can also spot a lot of wildlife if youre patient, including birds, turtles, small fish, and dragonflies.

Awesome non-strenuous trails, beautiful scenery and cool clear water. My kids and I love this park for short afternoon walks and often cool down by putting our feet in the water. Theres usually not much water for parts of the trail, but with so much rain this year, the creek remains intact in most places.

Beautiful place to relax and swim. Wish it was a better parking and it could use some landscape care but it is a cheap way to pass the day. Please be careful if you have small children or have a physical impairment. The ground is uneven, it is also slippery and it has a pretty good drop.

Just a beautiful place to visit on the northwest side of Austin. I didnt get to go swimming being that its January, but I will definitely return in the summer. I know why the residents of Austin seem so content, its because they have so much public domain and so many places to spend their weekends.

Great place for hiking with dogs. A little rough, so be prepared for getting your shoes wet, climbing a few sections & then end with a nice picnic at the park grounds. We saw a lot of folks bring their kids. Dogs are generally on a leash, but common sense rules apply. Saw signs for off leash areas as well...Overall fantastic place to chill.

Bull Creek is one of many jewels that ATX has to offer in its vast Greenbelt! You can escape the troubles this world dishes you in a hammock and a cloud of some local trees! You can bring the family and tell at the kids while they try and drown each other! Remember they love one another to death , or leave the kids home thats why you escaped to begin with! Either way get out and in a hammock supported by a hazy cloud!

Bull Creek is one of my most sacred places that I enjoy everyday! However, it saddens me to see how after the weekends it is full of trash, dirty diapers, empty beer cans, etc.. My hope is that people would understand that it is a privilege to have such beautiful places in this beautiful city, and country for that matter. Bull Creek is Mother Natures gift to humanity, lets treat it with respect.

My first time visiting and how stunning it was! With the recent heavy rains Austin experienced, Bull Creek was still low enough to play in but moving swiftly to keep the algae away.My son and I had a quick photo session together, it was so beautiful! This park/ trail area is adorable. It has nice restroom facilities and would be the perfect place for a family picnic and photos. The creek is an enjoyable place for kids to splash about and the trails by the creek are easy-ish (they are slick in places). If you are wanting to go up into higher elevation things change- the trails are not well maintained, are overgrown, and not clearly marked. That being said- we still had a great time and were never in any danger of being lost. It would have been nice to have markers that stated how long and where each trail takes you. When going into the higher elevations it’s important to remember that because the trails are not well maintained they are narrow with lots of loose rocks and tripping hazards- this became an issue with our 5 year old who struggles with being aware of her surrounding (that being said, she did finish the hike)

A lot to explore here...for most part there are trails in both sides of the creek. Water stays here longer in the summer than Barton Creek which is nice. This place is what I consider a Hidden Gem of Austin. This place is great for all age groups. I take my son here all the time and we have a blast, he takes a net and bucket down there and tries to catch little fish swimming through the streams. There is an AMAZING little swimming area/hangout chill area. It has little cliff that hangs over the swimming hole that people jump off of into the water. So if you are sitting in the house wondering fun things to do, I would highly recommend giving Bull Creek a shot.
