Nice views of the Austin skyline, and the boardwalk is lit up at night. Kind architecture (can lie down on benches). Pretty quiet for being so close to I35 (my sound level app measured 38dBA).Cons:- TONS of spiderwebs. They should power wash them or something.- Scooters not allowed- Some ugly graffiti on the signs explaining the ecosystem (see photo)

Such a lovely place to walk, fish, run, or bicycle. Needs some art shows to draw folks in.

Most locals enjoy running and biking thought the boardwalk trail. The views of the city are beautiful from here. Definitely a must stop for tourists! The only issue may be finding a good place to park. Note: For some reason electric scooters are not allowed.

The boardwalk links a 1.1-mile gap in the trail on Lady Bird Lake, allowing folks to travel safely along the route. It cost $27.8 million and was nearly 20 years in the making. You never know who or what you might see along the water in this boardwalk concert that glides along under I-35 and heads both east and west from there. You can pick your own route on the boardwalk. The only way to get lost is in your thoughts as you see majestic views of the ATX Skyline. If you would like an authentic Austin journey, look along the boardwalk railings for the 36 bronze belts embellished with song lyrics from Texas musicians. Many of the melodies perfectly match the essence of the boardwalk, which opened June 7, 2014. The belts, a permanent public art project, make the perfect guideposts to capture the culture of Austin.

The boardwalk is very underrated. Its a great place to come for a walk, and is well lit even at night. Can get a bit lonely though, whether thats what youre looking for or not...

Pretty decent and nice to walk. Went on a cloudy Sunday. Wasnt too crowded. A few bikes and scooters. Lots of nice views and pretty plant life.I only found one restroom and the stall had no door in the mens room. There were alot of trials back to the road though and as bunch of water fountains. There are a couple of piers to fish off of. Led lights lit illuminated the path just before the sun goes down. Lots of benches throughout to take a break and relax.

If the city of austin cared about the truth theyd call this the concrete panel walk but I guess that the city council is too in the pocket of the big prefab cement walkway industry.
