We went in because they had a guy playing old school Texas country which doesnt happen very often on sixth street. In Austin. The self appointed music Capitol of Texas. Think about that for a minute. Unearned titles and blatant contradictions aside, I dug the place. All dark wood, clean place and a good selection of drinks. Why dont they serve Seagram VO whiskey in this town. Anyway, cool place to day drink!

Ive been to the Bat Bar at least 8 times .. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly with me..I was taken good care of at the Bat Bar.. I go and watch a ATX Blues Band they play there every Tuesday, and Wednesday night. ..Ive always had a great time..The Bat Bar has an area for dancing, the House Lighting and Sound are Good.. The Bat Bar is a nice place to stop at have a drink, and relax. You can stay for a half hour or spend the whole evening there... I would recommend The Bat Bar...

They had this terrific young jazz on March 11th, dont know theyre name. Lots of space, high ceiling. I didnt order cocktails.If you pay with debit card, theyll automatically charge you the gratuity, even if its just 2 beers.

Bat bar has awesome DJ lighting along with a friendly staff and great mox of music. Always a staple on sixth street.

Vibe was lit but we were the only ones dancing til about 12. Then it was so packed u couldn’t move. Needs better crowd flow/control

1 bud light and 1 Jack Daniels and 7-up.....$19!!!!! You have got to be kidding me! We were the only customers, place was dead. Guess they decided they needed to rip us off to make some money. Make sure you ask the cost of a drink before you order! WOW!!!!!

Great bar knait lee the dj/light man gives out a killer vibe for a great party

Live 1 man band was awesome. Played a lot of Beatles. Cant put more stars because with out him it would just be a quiet bartender and a restroom with a ceiling leak and a floor flooded at 2pm. Seriously imagine if they were busy.

They had an appropriately dressed gogo dancer/girl in the window this time which rarely happens anymore, Dj had good tunes going.

Dropped in during Pecan Festival. Ended up staying for a few hours. Band was awesome!

The music is awesome! They play house music which is the kind of music I like. The drinks are pricey though, if they could improve it would be to lower the drink prices. Also, the bathrooms are really disgusting, they need to maintain and clean them. Other than that, it was a good time.

Went to Bat Bar for my second time, lured in by the wonderful Austin musician, Adam Rodgers. The first time I saw him perform here, the sound was terrible. The second time around, things were definitely better and we got to enjoy a wonderful show. The stage sits right up against the open wall to 6th St., and although the bar is a dark, you still get the open air feeling. The drinks were cheap, the servers were attentive and everyone was in the Halloween spirit.

I ordered 5 bat shots and the bartender didnt equally serve them. I had to tell him to add more to the last one because it was not even a shot. Not worth $25. Otherwise, the music is really good and good place to dance.

Meh. The drinks are overpriced and my mix drink was basically 80% mixer 20% liquor. Left after one drink.

Definitely one of our gangs fave spots of our party weekend. Great music, great fun, dancers...and the bat bar made this one really work for us

Bat Bar is a large 2 level dance club. This is where you go if you want to shake some @$$. There isnt anything to exciting about the place but you will see a lot of dancing. Drinks are average and the music is your basic club style re-mixes.

Chris Hale has the biggest Weiner Ive ever not unseen.

An incredibly loud and dirty place. However, that might just be what youre looking for! Bat Bar has better music than the other ipod-spun bars, with a DJ who definitely knew what he was doing (even if the song selection was slightly off at times). A very rowdy crowd created a dance circle in which 1/10 people who went in actually knew how to dance.

A laid back joint on Dirty 6th thats typical of the area. I prefer weekdays between 6 and 930 for the cheap drinks, live independent artists, and low key atmosphere.

Always a blast when we come here. Music is always the best and servers too. My go to bar on the dirty 6th!
