Twisted Cyclone is a coaster with a kind of intensity unique from the others in the park. Though the ride isnt particularly long or tall, it makes up for it in its content. The first drop is the best in the park, which is very sharp and just long enough for it to last while twisting to the left on the way down. Its a unique and intense sensation. The reverse cobra roll is a smooth and unique double inversion, and is somehow one of the less intense moments of the ride. The wave turn immediately after is an airtime hill taken sideways, and sideways often isnt too common, so its a unique sensation. The rest of the ride is standard elements but still rather fun. There are about four straight airtime hills, which have sharp ejector air thats even stronger than that of Goliath. Theres also a smooth and floaty zero-g roll and some overbanked turns that are fun to sway your hands too.The ride is short, but its very well paced without a dull moment. Plus the ride is gorgeous with nice hot rod trains and electric blue track. The only downside is that the seats are somewhat uncomfortable. The lap bar is nice, but its a tight and cramped fit as the cars are boxy and dont have much room to move your arms. If youre a bigger person, dont count on being able to fit on Twisted Cyclone.

Very smooth. When I looked up I was expecting to see the sky, but I saw the ground. Very Fun! The first drop is about as intense as the Goliaths.

Short but oh so sweet. Definitely one of the best coasters in the park, and 100% a must-ride for anyone visiting. The airtime is unreal, and the ride keeps all of its speed until the brakes. The only reason this has four stars instead of the five it deserves are the operations. Seriously, the staff on this ride is slow as molasses- were talking five minute dispatches if youre lucky.

The Ride was amazing. One of RMCs best! Looks nothing like it rides. Its forcefull, fast, and smooth. Wave turn is the best! The little bit of theming is nice aswell Reason it is 4 stars: Dispatches are terrible. Staff took their sweet time, operated unorganized, and I was getting really annoyed. Other than that, really good!

This is my favorite coaster ever! The nostalgia of the wooden structure with a fast & smooth track makes for a great experience. But maybe the part that impressed me most was how well they designed this new ride within the old structure with a couple of sections where there are unexpected turns & drops. Dont miss this ride while at 6 Flags.

Its an RMC(Rocky Mountain Construction)!! Shorter ride than the original but 1000 times greater. Very smooth yet packs extreme G forces on you! Alot of air-time on this one and is the best coaster in the park in my opinion!

This ride is INCREDIBLE. Easily my new favorite ride in the park. It has insane ejector airtime and inversions. The drop is insanely fun and you get incredible ejector airtime if you are in the back rows. The ride is so fun and is a huge improvement over the old Georgia Cyclone. It’s buttery smooth throughout the layout as well. Overall, WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing it multiple times especially in the very back row.

This ride is not built for everyone and that is not fair. I have been a coaster enthusiast for a lonh time. Ive never hated a coaster like i did the cyclone. I was afraid to ride the updated version, Twisted Cyclone because of the restraints. There was a seat belt and bar that holds you in by waist and knees but nothing to hold onto really. I noticed heavy set ppl could not go on the ride because they did not fit. That is not fair! I am heavy set too. But everyone is shaped different and i was able to fit in the ride. In the middle of the ride i popped out and the bar pinched my stomach. I was hanging by my thighs by the end of the ride. My friend is my witness too! This ride needs better restraints. Infact, every ride should have seat belts and over the shoulder harnesses. Those are most secure and comfortable and can fit most body types. Im so irate about the Twisted Cyclone. It really could be a great job with better and more secure restraints.

Loved the new twisted cyclone! Amazing ride! The staff is great at Six Flags over Georgia. My family had a blast. Highly recommend staying at Wingate by Wyndham. It takes merely 3-4 minutes to walk to six flags and the hotel accommodations were extraordinary. Oh yes... and the complimentary breakfast is one of the best I have experienced at this price.

Ive seen a couple of negative reviews from people thinking this is the old Georgia Cyclone. This is a brand new steel track topper by RMC and it went from being the roughest coaster in the park to the smoothest and best in the park. A must ride!

At the time this review is published , this ride is not open but I will be judging the layout of Twisted Cyclone. First of all , 70 degree drop (I think) and that is 90 feet. It’s average tall but the drop is decently steep. Than you go into a like a reverse cobra roll which is a unique element into some banked turns and zero-g rolls. The layout is pretty good for the space they had to use , my only complaint is that the ride time is very short. Only about 40 seconds. Anyways the layout looks pretty good and I can’t wait to ride it!

Although shorter than I wanted it to be, the ride is packed with inversions and air time that hit you one right after the other. AWESOME ride! Best roller coaster! Better than goliath, better than Batman, just total awesome! Fast, twisty and super smooth with an amazing first hill! Youll float out of your seat multiple times, but your neck will still be intact when youre done! Similar to Universals Rip Ride Rockit for intensity.

Was there Saturday 5/6/2017. I love roller-coaster, but this one was way too rough. Ended up with several broken ribs because of how it throws you around. It was my sons first time ever riding one. He enjoyed it, but I am dealing with alot of pain. They need to warn riders of how rough this one is.

Review №39

This ride is quite rough, to put it bluntly. I rode in August 2015 as the last coaster at the park (It is just to the right of the main entrance, but we went left) It is a mirror image of the Coney Island Cyclone, which make its layout memorable, but the roughness just takes away from the ride. I was flying out of my seat, into the lap bar restraint and smashing my lower back into the seat, Non-Voluntarily, meaning the bumpiness of the coaster caused the painful movements.

I remember when the former Georgia Cyclone was announced to be closing. I was the one guy that was actually sad about losing Georgia Cyclone, yet all of us coaster enthusiasts knew what was coming. We knew there was going to be some big changes to the Georgia Cyclone, in the form of... this. Twisted Cyclone is a short yet fast-paced thrill ride. It performs a range of dynamic elements, a lot like an RMC sampler platter (for the other enthusiasts reading this).Twisted Cyclone kicks things off with a bang on its tilted 75° drop, swooping riders up into two head-over-heels inversions (a “reverse cobra roll”) and back down to Earth. Then the riders navigate something rarely before seen on a roller coaster; a sideways airtime hill. This sensation is quite strange, but oddly intriguing. On both rides I was kicked out of my seat, and into the air with floater airtime. A near headchopper ensues, followed by a tiny ejector hill up into a snappy overbanked turn. Now comes the best moment on the ride; a ballistic bunny hop that dives into the wooden Twisted Cyclone structure. I was thrown out my seat with such force that it felt surreal. Before I had time to process this a zero-g roll flipped me upside down for a third time, and then two bunny hops ejected me twice more. The train swooped under the structure in a low to the ground overbank, and with one more hill of ejection the brakes came all too soon.I prefer the nearby Goliath a bit more, but Twisted Cyclone is still a close second best coaster at Over Georgia. It gets long lines all throughout the day that don’t let up, just like this aggressive ride. Twisted Cyclone is a small but mighty ride that should be rated better than the worst RMC coaster.
