I absolutely love it out here! Easily the best urban wildlife area in the area. There are birds of prey such as red-tailed hawks, great horned owls, and bald eagles swooping up above along with plenty of deer, coyotes, fox, and other mammals to check out at ground level. Theres a nice variety of ecosystems represented here as well which means you can come back again and again and not see the same thing twice! Highly recommended for residents and visitors alike.

Its a fun place to go for some learning and a little nature inside the city. But the city is still very evident and I like my nature a little less city. But they have fun programs and a lovely pond and fun things for kids to do so definitely check it out! Theyve been super helpful in the past helping Girl Scouts earn badges.

What a great nature center! This little gem is tucked away, but its a great find. A friendly, knowledgeable staff makes it evwn better. There is plentiful stuffed wildlife for children to explore as well as live animals like a box turtle, leopard salamander, and bull snake. There are also child-friendly trails right off the natur center. My 1.5 and 4 year olds loved it.

We love this place. Weve had a birthday party at the nature center, and had the staff show us how they feed their snake. They have lots of information about the wildlife and whats happening at the open space. You dont have to be part of a class or a party to stop in. There are toys and costumes and books and even example animals (live and stuffed) and plants to get the older visitors acquainted with the area.

A nice stop to see some wildlife. From eagles to hawks, along with deer fox. Very close to the airport, but still a mile plus away from the bus routes if you must walk or bike it there. Very friendly and informative personnel. The building houses stuffed animals with many pamphlets on the surrounding areas.
